Aeren let the wind blow through his hair. He enjoyed relaxing on Tavrinth Arastia's back, not doing much but hunting so they wouldn't starve. It wasn't easy to feed a dragon, but then again it was obviously her feeding him. He knew he was some sort of prophet for he had raised the creature that was usually eating humans and on top of tha the was able to speak to it.
Aeren had been in villages before. There weren't many of them and people were suspicious with strangers but sometimes he needed to buy things like ammo for his rifle or simply fresh water to drink. The lakes had dried and the trees died ages ago and barely any green was seen these days.
"Yo saurian", he said, knowing fully well she hated it, "How much longer to get to Tremer City?"
He had to meet that Prince. He had to tell him about the prophecy .... and he needed a bath.

Prince Khaliaan stomped around his chambers in a huff after being told by one of his guards that some of the villagers had been complaining again about the work they were having to do compared to how much food they got in return. It wasn't like he ate that well, he was on similar rations to the villagers. The only difference is that he had a chef to prepare his, who was a lot more imaginative than the villagers were.
He threw himself onto the bed and stared at the ceiling. He was getting so frustrated with everyone and they're selfishness.
She huffed a little and shook her head at the nickname she abhorred. "About 40 miles as the dragon flys."

"Thank goodness", he said breathing a sigh of relief. He climbed closer towards her head so he could look where she was flying.
"Think I can see it already", he calledout, being kind of happy to be amongst humans again.
"It should do if you land two miles before the city in that mountain range. They won't see you there and I can walk the rest".

"Are you ashamed of me human? Am I not good enough to be intrduced to the king?" She asked with a huff and a flick of her tail, knowing full well that if she landed too near people would start to panic.
A guard came to the door and knocked. The prince got off the bed and walked over to the door and answered it. "Yes?" He asked, wanting to know why the guard was there.
"A dragon was just seen flying nearby, shall we send everyone to their stations?" He asked, standing to attention outside the prince's room.
He frowned slightly. "Is the dragon still around? Has it circle back at all?"

He rolled his eyes at her words and crossed his legs, making sure to sit safe and secure.
"Yeah, sure. Completely ashamed. I just don't want to get shot at again like in Falcon Valley ....", he said, shaking a little at the memory. Gladly no one saw him on her back then.
"So, I need to speak to the prince before he meets you as I'm pretty sure he won't believe a word I say".

"He still probably won't believe a word you say." She said as she landed in the mountains. "You go off and talk to the Prince and I'm going to try and get me some mountain goats." She grinned as best as a dragon could. "If you need me just call." She said turning away from him to go in search of food.
Another guard ran up to the one talking to the Prince and whispered something to him. The guard then turned back to the prince. "It seems to have been a false alarm. The dragon has gone off to the mountains and not been seen since." He said immediately looking calmer. The prince nodded. "Ok then we obviously don't need to get ready for an attack. Just keep an extra watch out for it returning over the next 24 hours." He said with a hmph for being interrupted when he wasn't needed.

"Get me a chunk of goat, too!", he called out. With a wave he turned around and made his way towards Tremer City. It wasn't too far bur he was very certain the dragon had been seen. Hopefully no one would mind. He pulled his cloak around himself tightly to cover from the cool wind.

"If I don't eat it all." She said from within the brush.
"Keep watch and make sure it doesn't come back. If it does straight to battle stations." He said closing the door in the guard's face.

Aeren made his way into town, looking at the working people. How they were busy making a living, working to feed t their families of whatever was left of them. He walked straight to the Prince's castle but he was stopped by a guard at the gate. He knew it wouldn't be easy to get in but he wanted to, so he simply asked to be let inside.

The guard looked at the stranger and led him into the entrance hall. "I shall get the Prince. He may not want to see you, but we shall ask for you." Leaving him in the line of sight of another of his colleagues the guard went to the Prince's room and knocked on the door.

Aeren was quite happy. It had goon according to plan so far. Now he was hoping the Prince would be in a good mood and wanted to see him. He had a look around the hall, counting the guards that were in here as well.

He growled to himself a little, climbing off the bed to answer the door again. "What? Why must I be disturbed again?" He asked frustratingly. The guard stood firm at the door, used to the Prince's moods. "There is a gentleman here who wishes to speak to you. He is not from around here."

He rocked on his heels while looking around the hall and waiting to be taken to the Prince.

The prince rolled his eyes. "Is this man hot?" He asked seriously. "I will only see him if he is so." He then crossed his arms over his chest and stared at the guard. The guard coughed awkwardly and shrugged a little. "You know I do not like the company of men sire, but I do believe he is classed as handsome."

He sighed a little and walked over to a wall to lean against it. "Is that prince living fifty miles away", he said to himself.
