Clicker stepped onto the beach and breathed in the salty air. This was a good day and a good place. A good place for digging up clams, among other things. He crouched and began to slowly did using his hands. Right away he encountered something harder than any clam. A piece of steel. When he tried to lift it he found he couldn’t because of too much muddy ground atop it. He slowly dug around it at a leisurely pace; not in any rush at all. As he moved more and more ground be began to see more and more of the item, and soon he knew what it was. He reached into the ground and pulled out the old sword. It was definitely old and worn, but it was definitely worth more to him than a small clam. He looked at it for a few moments before cleaning it off to the best of his ability and tying it to the back of his rucksack. He then filled in the hole he’d dug and moved on to another spot. It was a good find, and he knew he would find a use for it. It was a sword after all.

Clicker started digging again and this time he didn’t have to dig very far at all. He’d found a large piece of driftwood, but as he tried to pull it out of the sand He found he couldn‘t. He removed the sandy ground from atop one end and tried to lift again, and it wasn’t any easier. Then he continued to dig at the other end until he finally managed to free the driftwood. It was twice as large as it seemed and it had been stuck very firmly in the ground. He knocked all the dirt off of it before tying it to the back of his rucksack and filling in the hole. It was heavy, but he knew he’d been able to make use of it sooner or later. It wasn’t exactly a rare material, because driftwood was very common. While not very valuable in some places, it would be used to craft homes, furniture, weapons, and a great many other things. Clicker moved on to another spot and looked around at his friends. So far he’d found a rather heavy piece of drift wood and an old sword. Both of which he could find a use for.

Clicker moved to a new spot and started digging. He hoped he’d find something edible this time, and he was quite right to hope. He found first one clam and then another, and another. Then nothing, he continued digging and found two more. He picked them up and carried them to the water to wash them off. He carefully washed them one by one before putting them in his rucksack and moving to fill in the hole. Then Clicker moved on to another spot. “So far this beach is full of surprises. Every dig offers something of value.” He walked around for a while, not bothering to dig new holes at all; admiring the scenery. This beach was beautiful in a way. And it was so far proving to be a great place to gather food and materials. A great place indeed. He moved slowly across the ground to a new spot and kneeled to start digging. Hopefully this new spot would be as yielding as the others had been. He did not yet dig however. He watched the waves lapping at the shore, the sky high above, and thought of his tribe. He then returned his attention to the ground before him and started to dig.

Tai Mao scurries along the beach on all fours in fox form as he sniffs for something interesting beneath the moist sands and muds of the beach. "Clicker, it sounds like you are doing quite well here!" he calls out to his friend. His eyes may be useless, but the same cannot be said of his other senses. A whiff of crustacean wafts up from a small hole in the mud. He begins to dig down for something living there. The large Lemon Uca Crab has nested itself within the tidal shores, most likely to wait for high tide and to seek refuge from predators like this young male Frax. A glint is in in his blind eyes and he thrusts his long muzzle into the hole he has widened up and pulls out the fat crunchy beastie. It wriggles its limbs and attempts to pinch his nose, but to no avail. He has it grabbed from behind and looks up at Clicker with a look of amusement and some measure of pride. Dropping it into his rucksack, while resolving to purchase a fishing basket, he muses, "This looks to be a great place for finding something worth getting. Maybe we can scrape together enough to start a business." The fox chuckles to himself as he ponders about the superficial resemblances to the giant shellfish fofaf within the empire. Deciding to keep this to himself, he simply says, "You know, there's a lot of potential here. I really hope to run into some tube worms. Black Silk is said to be worth a good price these days."

Tai Mao chuckles to himself as he chucks his previous prize into his storage orb and continues to dig these richly packed grounds. "Such delicious treasures buried here." he says with delight. Continuing to dig in his fox form, he does not mind being muddied by this activity. Not when it means loading up on plenty of meats and useful things. Though he is certain that eating the crabs is going to have to be put off until he can not be around Clicker who seems curiously upset by eating of wild things that semi resemble him. That brings to question for him whether or not he would view a lobster the same. While Tai Mao does not understand this part of his friend's nature, he does respect it enough to avoid the risk of alienating him by making a meal of a crustacean in front of him. As he continues to dig at promising spots that bubble, holes, and places where he has seen something bury itself, he sends muddy sand up into the air in a flurry of activity. A whiff of fresh clam drives him further. "Oh, boy, clam!" he says as his paw strikes the shell. Thrusting his muzzle forward and biting onto the shell he has confirmed his prize. He pulls it out and drops it into his orb by dropping it on it. This lovely present has been a wonderful tool.Clam - Clam meat, Seashell 237

Lelune Lelune sat on the beach and stared at the waves lapping against it near her paws; she sighed and lifted her gaze towards the horizon; it had been some time since she had been forced to leave the order and she was feeling slightly homesick but she couldn’t go back; sighing and rising to her feet she remembered that she hadn’t done much training today and began to move onto a clear spot on the sands away from the waves; she swept her feet and she began to move into the fighting stance taught by the order but jump and scrabbled forward as her paw brushed against something hard; turning she saw something sticking out of the sands; intrigued she moved closer and when the object didn’t move she began to dig down at a rapid pace sand flying from beneath her paws as the object was uncovered; she was surprised to see that it was a old and battered sword I wonder how it got there? ; shrugging the Frax opened her rucksack and carefully placed the sword inside before standing and looking across the beach wondering if there were other treasures buried beneath her; she smiled and began to move around the beach whilst sweeping her feet as she had before; sand moving around her paws as she travelled around a small patch of the beach in strange circling motions OOC: 232 Words, Intro helped, got Old Swordx1

Lelune Lelune continued sweeping her feet through the wet sands on her hunt for treasure; kicking up the hard, gritty substance in every direction; it was proving to be rather tiring to the black-furred Frax and she soon stopped having yet to find anything else of interest, crouching down; she waited to get her breath back as she stared out across the shore, after a few moments she rose and started to walk across the beach at a more sedate pace while she looked around, she soon came across a curious sight; small parts of sand were flying up on their own; approaching the phenomenon she found that it was being caused by a somewhat large black and orange snake digging away at the sand with it’s tail which ended it a short spike; Lelune recognized it as a mud snake having seen several for sale in the marketplace of her hometown; recalling that they tasted good she licked her lips and drew a stone knife from her waist as she began to creep up on the creature; upon drawing near the Frax leapt at the snake and rammed her knife into it’s head; pinning it’s spiky tail under with her paw to avoid getting lashed during the creature’s death throes, once it stilled Lelune picked it up and examined it for a moment before putting it’s remains away in her rucksack OOC: 231, Mud Snake> 2 Leather, 4 Meat

Lelune Lelune looked around the beach; the only sound being the waves lapping against the shore; she had grown bored of her activity at the beach and put her thought towards where to go next, she remembered hearing that jobs were plentiful in the imperial lands; and being between several lands meant she would plenty of places to go if she grew tierd of it, her decision made she spread her wings and flew away from the quiet shore OOC: Exit to Imperial Lands

“I don‘t know about you my friend, But I‘m in the mood for a little hunting. And I know just the island for it. You don‘t mind going to a different beach do you? There‘s an island with a cove that has some good hunting, if you don‘t mind the occasional bull shark…” Clicker suggested as he brushed the sand off his hands. He was most certainly in the mood for a change of scenery, and though the cove was a dangerous place, it was well worth visiting.

Clicker would have grinned if his form had allowed such an action. With his friend on his back he took to walking head for the island he had mentioned. Lost Tide Island.
