Anyways. Here goes! We'll start with possibly the creepiest of the Rydals, Kirsla.
Quote:
Name: Kirsla Rydal
Age: start-of-series, he's in his late 30s. When he dies, he's in his mid-late 50s
Hair color: Black (later with prettyful streaks of gray)
Eye color: originally blue, now red ( ninja there's a story behind that, actually...)
Personality/bio: At first glance, Kirsla is smooth, cultured, and highly organised. Deeper insight, however, reveals that he is extremely sadistic, impulsive, and disorganised. He will lie, cheat, and steal to give the impression he wants to impart on others, and is also a serial rapist and has a psychological disorder similar to psychopathy. Chances are, he was born with it, but magickally shielding himself from his older brother's initial berserking may have either worsened what was already there in a lesser form, or it could have even created the insanity.
In either case, Kirsla feels no sense of responsibility for his actions, and does not have a 'conscience' as normal people do - two of the defining characteristics of psychopathy as known in our world.

The way I phrased that last sentence was because, naturally, TomK doesn't take place in our world. I'm just starting a crapload of research on psychopathy and antisocial disorders, so it will definitely have a very strong basis in psychopathy. @_@ what I'm having trouble with right now, however, is finding good research sites on mental disorders that aren't strongly biased into thinking that psychopaths and sociopaths are all criminals (a good majority are, but there's still lots of people that fit in just fine)
Quote:
Name: Seishak Rydal
Age: Start-of-series, 18
Hair color: Born with jet-black hair; later becomes a bright blood red
Eye color: Born with prettyful green eyes; later become a dull grey
Personality/bio: Seishak is very likely to fly off the hook at any given moment if you should upset him. The concept of 'anger management' hasn't quite occurred to him xp When he was 14, he went through a sort of rite of passage for the Rydal family - he berserked for the first time. In so doing, he murdered his own parents and siblings, and can perfectly remember everything that happened when he did it. Because he comes from a family of necromancers, he decided to try a true resurrection to bring his now-dead family back to life.
Needless to say, the effort failed, but Seishak was lucky to come away with both his life and his soul, which it is now known to be through divine intervention. However, his soul was not returned to where it should have been, and instead was placed in... his hair. Because he can feel any touch to his hair at a soul-deep level, he refuses to let anyone touch it unless he explicitly gives them permission. It doesn't need to be said that his permission is pretty rare.
