So now that I've re-read the entire series, through Knife of Dreams, I've been feeling an air of...haste in his writing. Maybe it's just me, thus the discussion.
How so? You tell me.
Also, did anyone else get fed up with the ludicrous amount of time it took Elayne to gain her throne?

No, I really feel the same way too. He stretched SO much out, and then BAM! It felt like half the prophecies were filled in book 11. Which means the other half AND a conclusion for at least the key characters all has to be done in book 12?
I honestly don't see how he'll do it without being cheesy or killing everyone off.

Which would be a ridiculous way to ruin a fantastic series. He'll have to do a 11.5 book. No way is he going to do ALL of the Mat plot, and Rand, and Egwene in one book....

I really think it'll turn out to be 13 books. Aside from the mostrous amount of plot he has yet to cover, 13 would be a perfect number to the series with.

I wonder what the chances are of him doing that?
I heard he might be interested in writing more books set in the same world, but with new characters...

he is only making 12 books. he says he dosn't have enough information to make a 13th book. It will be called "A Memory Of Light" and from the rumors that have been spreading, I beleive it is coming out some time in 2008, posibley 2009, but definentally some were around there.

The haste and only doing 12 books might also be affected by the fact that he's currently ill.

KoD definitely did seem to move much faster than the other books, and I agree, I don't think he can cover it all, not without a book as thick as Webster's Unabridged Dictionary

luthen.inadon KoD definitely did seem to move much faster than the other books, and I agree, I don't think he can cover it all, not without a book as thick as Webster's Unabridged DictionaryRobert Jordan will definitely find a way, and I don't think he's rushing. He's had this series planned out for so long that he knows exactly what will happen when. and I really like the way the series is wrapping up, I bet he does kill most of the characters, in fact I'm kind of beginning to expect it.
