Children of Gaia, I welcome you to our quaint abbey. We have many brothers and sisters taking residence in this abbey, who all took the cloth to better serve our Mother and patron goddess, Gaia.
Our Abbey serves as spiritual headquarters for Gaia's followers. We hold services at sunrise and sundown daily. Our main sanctuary is open to nature, with neither roof nor floor to keep us from being closer to Gaia. We also have a couple smaller chapels within our walls in which we can congregate when weather isn't as favorable to worship outside. Every smaller chapel contains one great window in which we can view nature.
Our sect's creed is one of love, peace and respect for nature. Our doctrine teaches that even the smallest flea is precious to the Mother.
We are the children of Gaia, clerics of her message of peace and love!
Gaia vobiscum.
Vade in pace.

(( I want to eventually have a map of the grounds here for us to look at. ))
Terra Locus Sancta: "Earth Room Sanctuary" This is a great room, huge in dimensions. Living trees form the walls, from their branches vines hang down wrapped around luminescent orbs. There is an opening from both the east and the west from which to perfectly view the sunrise and sunset. The canopy is open in the center to allow for perfect viewing of the sky, the clouds, and the stars. Mossy stones are cut into perfect pews. A great stain glass window of many colors hangs freely between the largest trees, over an ancient stone table. This is the main room of worship. In rain and snow, the members of the sect hold worship here. During the harsher climate months, they also hold worship in the smaller chapels.
Magna Arbor Chapel: This is the larger of the two chapels. It is a great, circular, stone room, with large, clear windows on all sides, except for the small space which connects it to the rest of the Abbey. It has one colossal, ancient live oak tree in the center. It's gnarled branches hang low, often very close the ground, forming sitting places for the members of the community. There are occasional rope ladders for those unafraid of heights to climb into it's upper branches to sit. It has a great many paned glass dome over head, that lets in excellent light. It is well tended by the brothers and sisters of the abbey. In the warmer climate, many of the windows are left open to allow air to freely pass into the chapel.
Serenita Stella Observatory and Chapel: The second chapel is smaller, and located at the highest point in all of the abbey, having a secondary function as observatory. It is glass on all sides, containing an opening for a great, twisted telescope developed by the brothers and sisters of the abbey. At night, it is the best place to see the stars. It houses seven rows of simple wooden benches, and houses a large, block of stone over by the telescope. It is very peaceful.
Novice Quarters: Modest rooms in the east hall serve as the novices' quarters. They have a small kitchen, and large common room area for novices to spend their free time.
Cleric Quarters: Much like the Novice Quarters, these rooms take up the west hall. They have a small kitchen and larger common room area for spending free time.
Tricliniaria: The cafeteria for the abbey. It's huge. Brothers and Sisters with a penchant for cooking feed the entire abbey (and surrounding area) three full meals a day. The food is said to be very delicious.
The Orchard: A great orchard is housed within our grounds. It contains the casimir trees raised by Gaia's children. All novices go there to plant their saplings.
There are other rooms, but we still need to come up with a purpose for them. If you have an idea, please share it here.

Take your vows as brothers and sisters under the Mother, Gaia.
Have you heard the calling?
First, you start out as a postulant, this is the stage of asking to become a brother or sister in our Abbey. After the postulant is accepted, he or she becomes a novice. The novice, then lives here at the abbey and works hard to learn the ways of the brothers and sisters of our Abbey. When he or she feels ready, after some time has passed, they make take their vows and become a full Child of Gaia, or Cleric. He or she will be our brother or sister.
To become a novice, you need only ask:

I ask to be a novice.

At this time you will be given a casimir sapling to nurture and take care of. When the Mother feels you are ready, your sapling will begin to change as it takes on your energies, your likes and dislikes. Then it will beging to grow into a full casimir tree. Then you will know you are ready to take your vows.
To become a full brother or sister, you must take your vows.

I vow to be one with the land and one with Gaia. I will cherish every living thing be it large or small. I will breathe of her air, drink of her streams, and dig of her earth.
I vow to maintain the teachings of Gaia. To live my life in the moment and to take in the beauty of everything. I will love everyone I meet from the smallest ant to the largest tree. I will keep peace and love in my heart.
I vow to defend Gaia's honor. Goodness is in all, and I will protect it from those who wish it harm. Gaia loves her children, and so I will keep them safe.
Then you will be a full cleric, and must uphold your vows.
Novices: 'Hydro Hassli Accio Alice Alocrescent Gumby Ningata Shaina Graces
Clerics: None have taken the vows. Yet.

The five petaled flower of Gaia is our main symbol.
Each petal stands for the five ways in which we can enjoy our Mater Terra
Tangunt: to feel, to touch.
Odore: to smell, to breathe
Gustus: to taste, to talk
Aurem: to hear, to listen
Oculus: to see, to take in
These are all important to understanding and experiencing the gift of nature.
The middle of the flower represents the Cor: the Soul, Heart and Mind. The center of every being from the smallest ant to the largest tree. This is the circle.
You can also look at the hand to represent this as well. Each of the five fingers represents each petal, while the palm represents the Cor. When meetign another Gaia Supporter, it is customary to present your hand, palm facing them, in a show of friendship.
The circle is another symbol of Gaia. It has no beginning or end, and no divisions. It is completeness, eternity, and the soul. It is the Cor. It represents the circle of life, and the many life cycles that keep Gaia's children forever moving forward. There is birth; from birth, life; from life, death; from death, birth.

Invocations
These are prayers and mantras that bring glory to our Mother Gaia. If you want to write a prayer, please ghost quote me and I will put it up for you. Any of Gaia's children can write invocations. I do as that if an invocation is not written by you, that you try to properly credit the author.
Earth Mother Invocation
Oh Earth-Mother We praise thee That seed springeth That flower openeth That grass groweth.
We praise thee For winds that whisper Through the shining Birch Through the lively Pines Through the mighty Oak.
We praise thee For all things Oh, Earth-Mother, who gives all life.
Found here. I thought it was a good start.Quote: Healing for this Earth
May there be good health and healing for this Earth, May there be Beauty above me, May there be Beauty below me, May there be Beauty in me, May there be Beauty all around me. I ask that this world be filled with Peace, Love, and Beauty. A Native American Prayer to Heal Earth by Medicine Grizzly Bear Spokane, Washington, 1990

Gaia is our Goddess.
She is the mother of Meili.
She is the most powerful Goddess. She banished Nyx, and other gods and demi gods bow to her when in her presence.
✖ Gaia is the patron goddess of the planet that bears her name. ✖ It is thought that she just might be one of the fabled Titans. ✖ Gaia is believed to be the mother of all and the creator of the planet on which we live and mother to gods. ✖ She is a powerful enough goddess that it was on her authority that the Demigods Overseer and Sentinel were stripped of their godly powers most likely through the use, or impersonation, of the Halloween mascot Jack. ✖ Gaia is known to be the mother of the god Meili. ✖ And, it is believed that she might have a connection to the Gambino family. ✖ She is a plant based goddess. ✖ Gaia's appearance is very ethereal with a light olive skin tone, a green tint blush to her skin, wing like vines growing out of her back, vines encircling her arms, long flowing hair, and a crown of vines with a flower in the center (until Gaia artists release a full colored version, or doll, of Gaia any art or manga panel coloring depicting hair and eye color in this forum is purely the sole opinion of the person who created said piece and not the general consensus of the GCA). I think our abbey needs a hot water springs. But I don't know wherre it would be located. Usually in the LoZ games I play a onsen is located near mountains/volcano. Perhaps we're near enough a mountain to have such a retreat? Though the spring in the first dungeon of Skyward Sword is GORGEOUS, thought not a hot spring.
