The academy is also shown to have large gardens, apparently at the rear of the buildings, including a large pond surrounded by a path, where students are free to wander as they please.

OOC:
Deciding to take a small personal break, Jenos found himself in the Academy Gardens. What a nice day out. He thought with a small smile, deciding to sit underneath a tree and enjoy the day, soon after, dozing off to sleep.
Alice just sighed as she looked around the garden. Where did she go wrong? She checked the campus map a thousand times. Perhaps she had made a wrong turn somewhere along the way. She let out another groan of frustration. She was a huntress in training yet she couldn't even decode the map. "Great just great! I can't seem to get a break around here. Well, I suppose the first day is always the most difficult. Now if I just head up this path and go left I should be back on track-" She thought as her foot struck something. After quickly regaining her balance she looked for what she'd hit. It was a boy sleeping on the grass.

Feeling something strike his foot, Jenos opened an eye to see a girl, possibly another student, had stumbled over him. "I'm sorry, are you all right?" He asked, sitting up and stretching his arms, still a little drowsy from just waking up.
Alice nodded and replied, "I'm fine, but I'm the one who should be apologizing. I'm so sorry I woke you. I was just too zoned into the campus map. I'm Alice, Alice Carter. It's nice to meet you."

"Don't worry about it. I'm Jenos." Jenos said cheerily and stood up, stretching once again. "You said you were engrossed in your map, are you lost?" He asked, figuring if she wasn't then there was no issue, if she was, then the least he could do would be to point Alice in the right direction.
"Yes I'm a little lost. I was trying to make my way to the infamous Beacon Statue, but I made a wrong turn on the main avenue and ended up here. Until now I did not even realize the Academy had a garden." Alice told him taking a moment to observe the pond and the lush green grass around her. "Do you happen to know where the statue is?"

His suspicions being confirmed, Jenos merely smiled when Alice asked for help. "Sure thing, I'll even walk you to it." He said cheerily, waiting for Alice's response.
"Really? Well thank you very much Jenos. I'm sorry again for waking you." Alice said as she glanced on the map once more. "Is it this way?" Alice asked pointing in the exact opposite direction they were supposed to go.

"It's no trouble." Jenos said cheerily, then Alice pointed in the wrong direction. "No, that's not the way. Just follow me." Jenos stated and started heading in the direction opposite to where Alice had pointed. It would only take a few minutes to get her to the statue, after that, well, Jenos did have a little more time on his hands for pursuing something that would keep him preoccupied.
A light blush engulfed Alice's features as she began to follow Jenos. As she followed him she glanced at the map attempting to see what corresponded to what. Eventually she gave up and just focused on following Jenos. As they walked she could hear an announcement over the intercom. The first assignment had been issued. Sightseeing would just have to wait. Alice told him, "Thank you so much for showing me the way Jenos, but I think we're supposed to report to the forest now. If your offer still stands I'd love to go later. But I think we should depart for the forest."

Conner Redland
I am a working Dog; My eyes are your eyes, to watch you and to protect you and yours. My ears are your ears, to hear and detect evil minds in the dark.
After saying his goodbyes on the main grounds, Conner began to wander the grounds taking in the sights and sounds of the Academy. the clockwork aesthetic of the buildings were intriguing and the young ex-guard could honestly say that he had never seen so many other students dedicated towards the goal of defeating one specific threat, the threat of Grimm.
at the sound of the PA system making the announcement for new students to report to the training grounds Conner's ears perked up and he began to look around for others who seemed to know where they were going, or barring that a member of the faculty who could point him in the right direction.

"Sounds great, good luck." Jenos said cheerily and began running back to where he had left his rifle. He had a feeling he was going to be needing it for the exercise ahead. Better safe than sorry. He thought as he retrieved his weapon and headed out.

Haseo Crimson Vengeful Mercenary Team: SHRD Team Mates: Helilos/Michael/Skyler
Haseo sighed as he made his way down to the gardens and checked his scroll for any updates from the others. He sighed once more when he saw nothing and looked around the gardens and wondered if Skyler was there. "Seriously, where could this girl be at?" He had taken note of who he was looking for, a girl with blonde hair and a very innocent looking face. He sighed as he finally pulled up his scroll and typed out a message to all three of them. He finished sending the message and looked around once more before making his way to the forest and wait.
Harthwin gently guided Cora away safely without that group of brake dancers following behind them. Harthwin had gotten into an argument when he left Cora the first time to dance by himself and because of the large horse faunus parting a path onto the dance floor he was able to ditch that problem without having to waste his time in some dumb dance off. Harthwin didn't want to feel too cocky but he knew that if he really wanted to he could have wiped the floor with all three for the brake dancing students.
"Sorry again for being so abrupt, " Harthwin spoke to Cora as the found themselves surrounded in the middle of the garden by the sweet scents of flowers and the calming serenity of the lake which rested peacefully besides them. "And thanks for coming out here with me. I'm not sure if you thought I was just gonna sat out on the front steps but I'm thankful for you sticking by my side." Harthwin smiled kindly to Cora, the moon reflecting of the surface of the pound so gracefully, and then joked with her thinking she would have gotten embarrassed. "You do realize I'm not forcing you hand anymore, right? You can let go of me if you want." As Hearthwin awaited Cora's answer his eyes stayed attentive, nothing to strong but just clever enough to stay on point, and his smile shining out how happy he had been throughout this whole night.
