Every novice in our abbey receives a sapling. It then becomes the novice's responsibility to walk to the orchard, find a piece of land and plant their sapling. Casimir trees thrive on the spirit of their caregivers, so each tree will change into something unique that will depict the caregiver's Cor. This is why every casimir tree is different. Every person is different. If you love your casimir tree, and show it kindness, it will take form as something kind. Every tree is unique.
Here, at the Sacred Orchard, we give you a chance to plant your own sapling and nurture it into something big, beautiful and representative of you. It is an important stepping stone to becominga full on Cleric in our sect.
Every tree will grow on it's own time, so don't be fearful if yours takes more time than others.

As a novice, you get to plant your sapling here.
Take one post for your tree to grow in. Come back and edit it whenever you want to help your tree to grow.
You may use your own sapling image or you may use this one I have found.

Remember that this is your own sapling, so plant it the way that you see fit. There is no right or wrong way to plant a sapling.
It is up to your to nurture your sapling into a full-fledged casimir tree.
There are many ways to do this.
You could write down your thoughts, or your dreams.
You could sing to it.
You could draw out beautiful pictures.
Any thing you can think of will help your tree mature.
When it has reached maturity, you get to explain to us the way it looks. You may do this in art, or descriptive text, or you could make a collage of your ideas including both of these things. The sky is really the limit, because a casimir tree is entirely you.

I can not draw so I hope this is ok.
Edit: Oh little tree. Grow and become strong. No Goti! Do not eat the tree! Edit 2: Oh little tree. I hope today goes better then yesterday and that I can get a decent sleep. Goti, I said leave the tree alone.

Elizabeth's Log. Day 1. 5/6/14. 18:49. `` I received a sapling today. I was quite worried because it held no leaves at all despite it having a stem. I was told to water the sapling after I plant it, but now comes the waiting part. Huh, I wonder how this little guy's going to grow.
Elizabeth's Log. Day 12. 16/6/14. 18:24. `` It's been a few days now. I've actually written a few songs exclusively for the sapling I was given, and I'm proud to say that there was progress. Apparently, my sapling loves rich, moist soil. I'm starting to think this tree's growing to be spoilt. Ah, that should be my fault though. Anyway, I've started seeing leaves grow but the shape isn't common. The leaf-buds are composed of scales as is usual, and these scales grow with the growing shoot. The leaves have four lobes and are truncate or slightly wedge-shaped at its base, entire, and apex cut across at a shallow angle, making the upper part of the leaf look square. It's quite a characteristic, but I think it looks just fine. Though, since I recognise the leaf shape, I'm assuming my tree is growing to be a tulip poplar tree. Very nice.

I should see about designing my own. Update: 6/10/14
My sapling starts to take on a lime green appearance, with deep red veins appearing.
After receiving her sapling, Alo tilted her head staring at the rather weak looking twig and pouted. Was it sick? The leaves are tilted upward and looked healthy so it might be okay? The pink and yellow made her squeal internally, loving the colors and wondered what kind of tree this would turn out to be. She had never tended a garden let alone a whole tree, but she was going to do her best to please Lady Gaia and her fellow comrades by helping this little bugger grow.

Stop plants her sapling in a sunny spot and waters it. Since no one else is around to hear, she sings a hymn to it. She spends a couple of hours in the orchard, praying, reading, and just spending time with her little tree.
8/17 Stop tells the tree about her day, trying hard to leave out the negative parts. She confesses that she's a thoroughly average person, but she will give her little plant all the love it needs to grow big enough to support an airship. Maybe it will even support its own island one day!
8/18 It's a clear night, so Stop decides to camp out in the orchard. She hopes she isn't breaking any rules, she's just having a hard time adjusting to life in the Abbey, and besides, one of the other novices talks in her sleep and keeps everyone up. She confides all this and praises her sapling for growing so fast and so strong. She's so proud of her little tree! It almost seems like it is listening to her.
