His little hooves were twitching, a wing fluttering here and there. He was having quite the exciting dream! Playing a game of chase with butterflies, landing on this flower or that flower. And one of them even graced him with a pretty sky blue flower to tuck behind his ear. The foal grinned and went to mouth his thanks... but startled himself awake as his hoof caught on something. Chroma sat up quickly, blinking in confusion. Where were all the butterflies? Instead of soft humming music, he could hear the songs of the birds. And his foot was not walking along the soft petal of a flower. It was tangled in vines. Chroma stared at it, trying to free his foot. "Come on, mister vines. Lemme go. Please?" It never hurt to always be polite, right?
It took a few - most likely amusing if anyone was watching - attempts for the youngster to get his hoof free. And when he did, Chroma jumped to his feet, shaking leaves from his body. Then jumped up in a victorious cheer because he'd defeated the vines! With kindness. "Thank you, mister vines!" He added, prancing about before stumbling to a halt. Only to begin chasing a lizard that was unfortunate enough to be sun bathing on a rock in his path.
Which was how the foal lost track of where he was running and found himself smacking right into another body. He fell back on his rump, little wings fluttering as he looked up. Oh! Oh it was Calla! "Hi Calla! I had the most awesome dream. And I met a lizard but I dunno where he went. Did you see where he went?" He didn't take a breath until he got his questions out.

Calla had been home to visit his family when he got the news of a magical little basket that had found its way to his parents' dwelling. The news of another sibling both excited and confused the stallion, as he wasn't entirely sure how it happened. His mother said they had wished for a child, and it just sort of showed up. But there was no pregnancy or surrogacy, it was just suddenly there. His brows furrowed and his mind wandered at the idea of a magical star, willing the spirits to grant you a wish, even if the wish was for another living being. He mused at the idea of a massive bud opening into a blossom with a basket tucked neatly into its center. The stallion couldn't help but chuckle. What an idea! But, alas, it just showed up out of nowhere instead. How boring.
The pale stallion's black-lined ears twitched at the sound of a fairly shrill, childlike voice. Calla grinned, remembering his time as a foal quite fondly. He wondered what the colt was up to, but kept his distance to ensure he didn't ruin any kind of adventure. A grin crossed his lips as a lizard scurried by desperately, and Calla's bi-colored eyes glanced in the direction of its origin.
Before he could say anything to the foal about being nice to living creatures, his magical brother thudded right into him, causing a chuckle. "Well," he began. "If it isn't the little troublemaker himself. I was just thinking about you." He smiled and nosed at the foal playfully. "I certainly did see where that poor little lizard went, but I'm not quite sure that I'll tell you. He didn't seem to be enjoying your meeting quite so much as you were." Calla chuckled and nosed at the foal some more. "But why don't you tell me about your dream? It certainly sounds fantastical, and I'd like to know more. Perhaps I'll even tell you about the idea that I had, if your story's good enough." He enjoyed his visits with his parents, but enjoyed trying to entertain his brother more. After all, it just might keep him out of mischief.

Chroma giggled and bumped his nose right back against Calla. He'd been so excited when he'd been able to meet his older brother! He knew he had older siblings, but Calla was the first he actually got to meet! And he admired the stallion already! "You were?!" He paused and then giggled again. "I'm nots a troublemaker!" Another pause. "Not today anyways." And then he gave his brother the best pout he could. Because he wanted to find that lizard! "But but but... I just wanted to play with it! I wasn't gonna hurt it. That would be so mean!" And mean he was not. A little naive and definitely childish. But never mean.
But Calla was a good distraction and the colt was laughing again as he was nosed. "Ooooh! Okay, but you has to promise!" His wings fluttered in his enthusiasm as he pranced around the stallion. "I was in a butterfly race!" He said proudly. "We was flying from flower to flower, sniffing the nector, looking at all the pretty colors! I was totally winning." Chroma added in, stopping in front of Calla to pause in his reenactment of said dream. "And this really pretty butterfly gave me a really pretty blue flower for winning!" The foal glanced around the glade, brow furrowing. "I've never seens it here before." But it had been a lovely shade of blue!
Ears perking forward, Chroma eyed up his brother. "Did I do good? Can I hear this idea?! Will it be fun! Do I get to make things?" He started to rattle off any question that popped into his mind, waiting expectantly for an answer. The lizard was completely forgotten about.

Calla grinned at the seemingly-innocent foal. He had long since lost track of the lizard, and aimed to distract him from the tiny creature. "Yes, but did you ask the lizard nicely if it'd like to play? You know, if you ask nicely, and the lizard accepts, they'll come right up to you and n** you on the nose!" He chuckled at the thought. How fantastical it seemed. The stallion could only imagine his sibling trying to coax a tiny lizard into playing with him, and it biting him right on the nose. He chuckled to himself at the thought.
"Okay, okay, I promise!" His wings folded to his sides and his ears swiveled toward the foal to make sure Chroma knew he was listening intently. Every few sentences, he'd nod and throw in an, 'Mmhm,' or a, 'I see.' When the colt mentioned that he was winning, Calla blurt out an, "You were?!" Shortly after, he injected an, "It did?!" His excitement seemed to be brimming just before the foal mentioned not knowing where he was. "Oh. You haven't?"
He moved along just as quickly as the foal, jumping to the next subject with ease. "You did great! And the idea is an idea, is all. It's not an adventure or a craft, I'm afraid. But if you ask me, it's pretty wonderful. You know how you got here? With Mum and Dad wishing for you on a star?" He awaited the foal's reaction, reeling him in.

Chroma just stared up at Calla with wide innocent eyes. Ooooh. He'd... not even thought to ask Mr. Lizard if he wanted to play! "But I don't wanna get nipped on the nose!" He giggled, finding the idea of the lizard biting his nose quite amusing! But he'd not n** the lizard back, oh no. He was too big. "I promise to ask nicely next time." The foal finally said, ears drooping for half a second before he was successfully distracted and Mr. Lizard was long forgotten.
In his mind, Calla was just as fascinated by his retelling of his dream as Chroma was in telling his big brother. It was evident in the way he pranced about and his eyes glittered. Though they did dull just a bit when he couldn't find any of the blue flowers to show Calla.
Calla didn't have to work to hard. Chroma was reeled in with the first few words. He bounced right over to lean against Calla and stare up at him with excitement. "What? What is it?!" He asked giddily. And nodded his head like a floppy puppy. "Yes! Mum and dad told me I was a special wish from the star!" He didn't understand quite how it work, but also never bothered to think too much on it. He was here and loved his parents and family. Not to mention he got to smell all the wonderful flowers! He waited patiently - or as patiently as a hyper young foal could wait - to hear what his brother's idea was. .Tortured. .Pumpkin. Eeep! I'm sorry this took me so long to tag!
