Hello, yes, Azcelt has religions. Unfortunately, yes. Religion has been an active part in wars before, so, in order to add a tad bit more drama, we have religions. But not ones you would find in real life, because that would probably get very bad results! So instead you get made up ones that will be located in the next posts.

The Mother Lords.
A religion in whom your gods are ladies who dress like men! It was Queen Delphy's chosen religion and is not uncommon to find it's symbol (A Bearded Lady) in a neighbor's house.
Let's shed some light upon the story of the Mother Lords, shall we?
The main Mother Lords are Veda, Saoirse, Aisha, and Elodia. Sisters sired from the long forgotten King Tiberius, they were a disappointment to all. The land needed a king to rule over them! Not a queen of whom would crack under pressure! Unneeded, they were sold and married off to princes from across the sea.
In due time, the kingdom of whom the 4 princesses once belonged to attacked their new homes, forgetting family bonds. So glad were the princesses that their father came back for them, they rushed out to greet him. Only when they ran from their hiding areas did they notice their husbands, slain, their bodies separated from their heads. The youngest, Aisha, broke down into tears, for as much as she had hated the man for being forced to marry, she had grown to love him dearly. The 2nd youngest, Veda hunted for his head and tried desperately to sew it back on, refusing to accept he was dead. She cried a single tear, formed purely of blood before kissing him goodbye and helping Aisha with her own loss. The 2nd oldest, Saoirse, upon seeing her beheaded husband, laughed and laughed and laughed. Finally, the pig was dead! She had suffered through his stupidity long enough! Before she left to join her younger sisters, she danced a lively little dance, kicking the head down the halls. The oldest, Elodia, gave the body a harsh kick, screaming 'Get up! You still owe me money. Get up!', for she had dealt with it only for the payment. Calling him some pretty mean things, she left to find her sisters. Together, they walked out of the castle and gaped in horror, as the man who led the army and wore the crown was not their father, but rather a cockish young Prince. He called for their heads, demanding that Veda be saved for she would be his bride. (This guy is their brother. c : < ) Rushing inside, they baracaded the doors and changed into their husbands's clothing, hiding their own. As the guards came crashing in, Aisha pointed them in the wrong path. Escaping, the Mother Lords continued to dress as males to get work. For 10 years this went on and eventually, they moved overseas to their brother's kingdom, where they became famous for their prowess in war and their wealth. 2 years later, they were still in drag, but ruling respective parts of the land for the king, their brother. Do I really have to tell you what comes next? Okay, sure, why not. The four sisters join forces and overthrow their brother, but rather than fight for ultimate power, they continued to rule over their respective lands, revealing that they were indeed females all along. Elodia ruled over her realm and became wealthier than most any other person. Saoirse became a ruthless conqueror, shaping her citizens into war machines. Veda spiraled into ruin, not knowing precisely what to do, but in due time, she arose from the ashes with help from her sisters and quickly became the biggest fool as she continued to repeat the act. Finally, little Aisha grew so very advanced and pure, her land itself shook free of the Earth and floated away. It is presumed to be a paradise. And so ends our tale.
The main focus of this religion is to advance/evolve. Coming of Age ceremonies are small celebrations and occur when one turns 13. Normally, the family arranges a marriage. The husband goes off to war as the wife dresses like a male while he is away. Should he die, the wife takes on all responsibilities of the household and will often follow in one of the Motherlord's paths.
Prayer groups are hosted every other day at temples. Offerings are usually left for the sisters to devour or use to develop their great cities. Divine interventio nd happen commonly and outsiders to the religion are treated like a fellow believer. When a follower dies, their body is hung on a tree branch.

The War Pups Styphirriarn Blodvorsck is the main character of this religion. Not much is known of this one except it's symbol is a wolf with a skull in its mouth. Yes, it's supposedly true, and there are indeed artifacts left behind telling its story. Unfortunately, those stories are few in number. What historians have concluded is what shall be used here. Styphirriarn Blodvorsck was a very poor man, being a farmer of whom had poorly fertilized and very rocky fields. With nothing to do about this problem, he ended up drawing in the dirt of stories. What he would do in battle, such s sip blood from skulls. Tons of that kind of thing. A day came when a duke rolled along in his carriage, unknowingly rolling onto Styphirriarn's toes. Outraged, he chased after the carriage, and beat the Duke in the castle's courtyard, in front of the king. And instead of having this reckless man killed, the king hired him to lead his armies. Surprisingly, all turned out well. The king had a ruthless murderer who would conquer lands for him, and in return, Styphirriarn would receive the pleasure of killing without penalty. Soon enough, he grew hungry for the King's power and when word got to the king, Styphirriarn was exiled back to Earth. So enraged was he that he took a thousand wives and had 50,000 children, of whom he trained the second they came out of the womb to be like himself, a ruthless and bloody warrior. He called them his 'War Pups', and he made them go hungry, stating that whatever they killed, they could eat, and only the one who killed it could eat it. Somehow, they all grew up, healthy and strong, and as tall as mountains! Taking all of his children and killing his wives, he forcibly went back through the portal and waged war upon Azcelt. And the first death upon the battlefueld happened to be Styphirriarn himself. Struck down by the gods, he ascended and murdered them all, eating them. Declaring himself as a God from up high, that is where this story ends. His children stopped fighting and lived in Azcelt peacefully, but always lying in wait to murder the king.

The Moon Turtle
The Moon Turtle religion is fairly simple to explain. All who follow it believe that Azcelt floats upon the back of a giant sea turtle. The symbol of this religion is a sea turtle with a crescent moon on its shell. Simple enough, right? Let's get a story behind it. The great sea turtle, Kaimana, who was neither girl, nor boy, swam to Azcelt during the great migration. With them, they brought the islands, carrying them upon their back. Why was this turtle carrying islands? The gods had asked them to do so, that's why. Entering the portal first, Kaimana returned, telling the gods of how there was nothing to hold the islands up. Many wept, that is until, in a great act of kindness, Kaimana volunteered to hold the islands forever. Occasionally, they would cry, breathing in deep shuddering breaths, sad that they could not visit the islands, instead, forced to hold them. The shuddering would cause earthquakes. Sometimes they would rock back and forth to return feeling to their limbs, and so Tsunami would appear and crash upon the land. Occasionally, they would get sick and all the heat would boil up and explode from a mountain, making Kaimana healthy and cool again, these were volcanic eruptions. And such is the religion.

The Brothers of the Sun and the Sisters of the Moon
A List of the names of the Sisters Enthgha-Laough-Turend-Rheris-Tovor-Wamos-Echerr-Quaiph-Samos-Erurn-Kelctin-Gardem-Rantaso-Taiat-Skelden-Thotas-Tinwmos-Anend-Kinrran-Moseld-Quatban-Anller-Sayid-Garboth-Ardight-Umon-Baper-Tanbess-Oslild-Echryer-Errale-Esskard-Vormaugh-Ustell-Emmor-Chaxiss-Sldpver-Laiv-Enild-Voris-Lyesroth-Leum ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A List of the names of the Brothers Jokim-Samyero-Tonest-Quaiy-Endoth-Saynyu-Sayvorna-Osen-Ackach-Buror-Urngshy-Oldull-Ardogh-Inani-Vesstin-Onet-Vordhat-Denbeli-Banes-Garnser-Hatymos-Tanert-Rodeh-Veves-Risworo-Dras-Cheend-Quegha-Ustent-Tanesh-Endirr-Isrrod-Vorok-Taiot ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Their story is that the Brothers and Sisters experienced The Falling and prevented it. They were Titans of whom sprouted wings and flew into the Heavens to watch over the creatures that were so very small, the humans. Soon, the Sun and the Moon began to fall towards Earth. The Sisters ran to keep the moon in the sky, but couldn't make it in time. Using their magic, they sacrificed their splendor, their heighth, even their wings to hold up the moon. It worked, keeping the moon in the sky, but leaving the Sisters no better than the mortals they watched and far uglier. Meanwhile, the tallest brothers stood upon Earth, to become pillars for the Sun. Over time, they became mountains. Craters from where they walked can still be found. The other Brothers flew to the Sun, covering it with their wings so that it would not scorch Earth. The fronts of their wings turned black and every once in a while, they'll turn around to cool them and then turn round again so we may continue to see the bright white of their wings. The Sisters, after 7 years walking the Earth, finally found the Brothers, who were horrified at these hideous creatures who claimed to be the Sisters. Pleading with the Brothers, a few brothers flew from the Sun and gathered the Sisters up, placing them in space to create the stars, and to hide their hideousness. The sun, uncovered in some parts, dried up the land and created deserts. Their Symbol is of two winged beings, a boy and girl. In the boy's palm, he holds the Sun as the girl holds the moon.

The Children of the Waves
-Believe in the Dragon under the waves, Tholis.- -Main deity, Zevaris, is known as the Mother. She lives at the center of Srmeti.- -Symbol is a dragon curled in a circle, wings outstretched, with a lantern hanging from its jaws. Dragon is usually carved in silver and the lantern is set as an enchanted sapphire.-
-Story Time!- -Zevaris created the dimension to protect the last of the first dragons, Tholis. The dragon settled under the waves, letting the land grow above him. The smaller islands are his spines. Abelia rests on his shoulders, Kellfroy on his lower back, Srmeti sitting on his head. He holds the islands up. When he adjusts, Azcelt adjusts.-
-Traditions!- -Red poppies are used in ceremony. This is due to a legend where Zevaris was wounded, and red poppies burst from the earth where ever her blood fell.- -Annually, the Temple selects two volunteers, one male, one female. The two are doused with the blood of two lambs in a cleansing ritual. They are allowed whatever they wish for an entire day before they are sacrificed, as it is their final day alive. Finally, when night falls, they are transported to Srmeti and left to be devoured by the beasts. These special rituals always begin on the first day of the year and end at the end of the first week.- -Each night, fires are lit in the temple at dusk. They burn all night and go out as the sun hits them in the morning.
-Followers of this faith are called "The Children".

Singers of the Siren -Belief in the Songs of the Siren -Deity Lilithia, said to be the mother of all Sirens -Symbol is a Siren etched out of Machalite with Black Raven Wings folded infront of the body etched out of Ebony. Singular Emerald sits in the middle of the chest.
=History Lesson= Sirens are believed to bring dismay an d death to sailors out at sea. That was only half the story. Those were daughters of Lilithia that loved the sea and stayed. Lilithia attracted anyone or anything to its demise with lovely songs that captured the soul. Lilithia started out as a normal human with nothing special other than the fact she was beautiful singer and dancer. When her singing attracted the attention of god, things got interesting, she was given the power to use her singing to influence the actions of others. The only problem was the God already had a partner. This led to Lilithia being cursed for eternity. She given Raven black wings and ultimately was turned into something that resembled a bird monster than a beautiful woman.
Angered by this, She led both the God and Goddess to remote area with her singing voice, and with a switch from a lovely song to a sad, depressing, and suicidal song; Both killed themselves out of sheer sadness. Upon seeing what she could, Lilithia began luring men and giving birth to "Sirens". Those that held the most lovely voice and dancing are considered to be Lilithian Sirens.
Though this was just no actual documents exist to confirm or deny if the events actually happened. A strong belief system formed around Lilithia. This Belief was open to mainly to women but if a man were to have the same singing prowess, he was considered a Siren as well.
=What They Do= Those that follow Lilithia are Singers, only a select few are called Sirens. Even fewer are called Lilithian Sirens. The strongest number of Singers is located in Abelia. The only way to find a Singer/Siren is by sleeping with one. Trust me...you'll know.
As the name implies, each follower is required to have the ability to sing and or dance. This done by teachings from birth or rigorous teachings.
No true purpose behind the Religion has been discovered by outside sources, but from sightings and stories. Singers generally go after those with power and leave a trail of chaos in their wake.
Those that are considered Lilithian Siren travel once a year to Srmeti to seek out Lilithia herself...or at least attempt to. No Human Siren has yet to survive this journey and no Non-human has seen her.

From here on out, it'll look a bit odd. Please, don't mind it. I still have to come up with precise stories and how to tie all of it together, so it' 'll take a bit of time. Everything shown is just some basic things you would know in the religion. (Except the stories!)
