The ancient
At the base of the mountain there is cave, at the end of this cave is a large opening that angles beneath the mountain, beneath the mountain... no one knows. If one were foolish/brave enough to follow the opening in the cave they would walk for what feels like miles until they reached a pool of water. If they were still brave/foolish enough to dive into the water they would see a brilliant golden glow coming from a underwater opening. If they went to that glow they would emerge into a vast underground cavern and... the source of the light. Treasure! As far as the eye could see, priceless pieces of jewelry and art, large statues made from rock, marble, or granite, precious metals of every kind and precious stones the size of human heads! However... wealth is not the only thing the enterprising adventurer would fine oh no, there laying on his side slumbering the decades away... Nual' Vos. The mighty dragon sleeps with his hoard of treasure in precious metals and stones... but... the dragon guards another treasure as well, something more valuable than all the wealth in the world...knowledge. Clutched within his mighty claws is a large chest filled with hundreds of scrolls containing a thousand lifetimes of information. Stories of kingdoms, nations, and rulers long past cradled against the lizard's breast. So are you foolish/brave enough to waken the beast from its rest... and see if you pass the hidden test?
