Many years ago, the citizens of Seussville built a great tower in which they buried Pokémon that had died. It was a peaceful place where the citizens could lay their beloved Pokémon to rest, and pay their respects. In recent years however, the tower has become haunted by fearsome ghosts and none of the townspeople dare go near it. It is rumored that an evil spirit dwells at the top of the tower, and that the spirit is the reason all the ghosts appear. No one has been able to prove whether this rumor is true however, as the few people who have returned from there alive have refused to speak of what they have seen...
Wild Pokémon Native to the Area:

Ryou walked into Stoker Tower, already formulating what he was going to say to the Ghost type Pokemon that have begun to depend on him and Aimi. It hadn't been long, but they had become some important people for the Pokemon here and for the towns people. With the new Rowlet on his shoulder, and Shuppet and Honedge floating around him, they made it to the upper floors of Stoker Tower. He lit some incense and waited for the Ghost Pokemon to come out from literally every direction - they came through the floors, the ceiling, the walls, the tomb stones - everywhere. They were drawn to Ryou, and seemed to have a lot of respect for him.
"Okay guys, listen up...", he began. He was excited to start on a new adventure in Kimchi, however, leaving these ghost type Pokemon was certainly he wasn't overly fond of. "I'm going to leave town soon to start on an adventure, which means I won't be around to take care of you guys anymore. But I don't want you guys causing trouble anymore, alright? Aimi and I fixed all the tombstones and graves so they should be proper now."
Ryou spoke to the Pokemon as if he was in command over there, and they knew that they had no other choice but to obey at the time. They all let out their respective cries, and came closer to Ryou - some of them like phasing through him, others liked cuddling up to him, and he didn't mind one bit.
There was one Pokemon who wasn't completely happy.
"Mama Banette." Ryou said as he turned to face the small Marionette Pokemon. Ryou got down on one knee to speak eye-to-eye with the Pokemon. This was Ryou's Shuppet's mother, and like any mother, Banette wanted to ensure that her child would be safe. "I promise you, I will take care of little Whisper."
Ryou spoke softly to the Pokemon, and the room was silent - not a body moved (get it? because they're all ghosts? Haha).
The Marionette Pokemon noded in understanding and seemed... oddly enough, to be crying. And Ryou found himself crying, too. And he reached into his pocket to pull out an empty Pokeball that he got for the Professor. Whisper floated toward him and pressed her head to the Pokeball, now capsuled into the red and white ball. The pokeball didn't even shake - it was an instant catch. Ryou then immediately let Whisper out. It cuddled with its mother - a sight that Ryou was happy and sad to see himself. He had gotten used to moving on because of his journey from Kanto to Kimchi - however, Pokemon certainly have their own feelings, too and their bond is just like Ryou's bond with his mother.
"Okay guys. Time to go. We've got to meet up with Aimi before it gets too dark." Ryou said to his Pokemon. The ghost Pokemon of Stoker Tower cried out all together with tears and all. Who knew ghosts could still cry? Learn something new every day...
Ryou's adventure was just beginning, and this place will always be a home to come back to.
"Y'know... I'm a trainer now. So I'm going to take some of you with me. Aimi should be here soon, too. We'll wait for her, okay guys? And we'll bring as many of you as we can."

"Aimi." Ryou said with a warm smile. Aimi took a seat next to him. "Ah, yes we both got some new additions, haven't we?" He looked around at all of their Pokemon and smiled. "This is Casper.", he said, pointing to the owl on his shoulder, looking around intently. "Casper, meet my friend, Aimi and her Pokemon - Ophelia and Augustus." Ryou allowed time for their Pokemon to interact as he spoke to Aimi.
"I had no doubt that we both were going to accept the Professor's offer at going on a journey. Though, did he mention this... er... evolution thing to you?" Aimi said no, but he did give an egg to take care of, to which Ryou said he got one too. Nontheless, Ryou went back to his main point. "I have an idea, well, it was the Professor's idea but whatever. This evolution beyond evolution. It's like... putting a Pokemon in a state above what we've discovered as their final forms. The Pokemon, with a strong bond with their trainer, achieve this new state. That energy could possibly make them immortal. The Professor says that there have been plenty of incidents of Pokemon evolving further and unleashing some sort of energy like this and gives them so much more potential." Ryou took a moment to breathe before continuing. He was relaxed but was getting himself all excited at the idea.
"Ever since we saw that Marrowak and that Cubone die during the Team Rocket attack, I just..." 'Breathe', he thought to himself. The excitement had slowly faded and turned to sorrow. 'You're surrounded by friends - good friends. It's okay.' Ryou started to have tears run down his cheeks as he spoke. "I just don't want them to die anymore. They deserve to live for eternity. Pokemon don't deserve the suffering that people like Team Rocket brought upon them." The tone of the room had seemed to change once Ryou's tears started. His Honedge used its cloth to wipe his tears, and Shuppet nested itself on Ryou's left shoulder, with Rowlet nuzzling itself into Ryou's neck from his right shoulder.
With the help of his Pokemon, he got himself together. "Aimi,", with teary eyes, he continued with the utmost of confidence,"We've got to understand what this thing is. This... mysterious evolution and use it to give all of these Pokemon immortality. I don't know how, but we've got to find out more about it. The Professor also recommended that we challenge the gyms to find out more. Sometimes they'll have heard of it, or something of the like. You know?" Ryou pulled out two copies of the map of the region that he pulled out of his a** and gave one to Aimi. "I was thinking that we split up to cover a bit more ground. Now that we've got Pokemon by our sides, it's a good idea that we train a bit, too. I was thinking of going to Sohmer City and challenging the gym there," Ryou said as he pointed to where they were in Seussville, and moved his finger along Route 12, which leads right to Sohmers,"and you could go to Marvel City and challenge that gym." Ryou's finger traced the route from Seussville to Marvel City with his hand, passing along through Port Damn and Lewis Town.
"That way we'll both be getting some experience on our own on this journey. And once we beat the gyms, we'll meet up in Port Damn in the middle." Ryou looked at Aimi and ironed out the kinks of their plan - "yes, I'll make sure to call you from the Pokemon Center's video call room once I arrive safely", "yes, I'll make sure to eat, too". And after the two worked everything out - they were ready to start their journey.
"So now... the next thing we need to do is just make sure we've got some Pokemon from the Tower here. I told them we'd take as many as we could, provided that they wanted to come with us." Ryou looked at Aimi, then looked around the room. He knew some Pokemon would come with them, but there had to be some that would want to stay with them more than others.
For Ryou, a small Sableye presented itself. He looked at the small Darkness Pokemon and smiled. "Welcome to the team, Jewel."
...
The pokeball clicked. That now made quiet an impressive beginning team for Ryou. Elvira (Honedge), Casper (Rowlet), Whisper (Shuppet) and Jewel (Sableye).
..
Ryou waited for Aimi to finish picking the Pokemon she wanted to bring with her and the two walked out of the tower together, going towards their new goal of challenging the gyms to learn more about Mega Evolution and immortality.
