Okay, I know this hasn't got much to do with Furries, BUT, I simply felt an absolute urge to share this.
OMG OMG OMG. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8372603330420559198&q=spore
WILL WRIGHT IS MY NEW GOD. The possibilities of this game are roughly INFINITE. Shared content to boot! THE ULTIMATE SANDBOX. OMG.
I've drooled throughout the whole 30-40 minute video, and I STILL am, 4 hours after watching it. This is just... WOW. @_@
The worse of all of it is that it's self-generated variables, that ADAPT to the info you input, and generates more stuff WHILE also self-downloading new content from the net from OTHER players, and it's ALL PROCEDURAL. Completely ingenious yet so freakin' crazy. eek heart heart
I'm going to camp outside of EB Games to get this when it comes out later this year (or next year, or whenever). @_@ heart
As a sidenote, I love Will's sense of humour. "This is the SUV, the Ford Explorer, woaaaah, woaaaaaaahhhh!!!"
And the really mean carnivore carebear... rofl

Right, Spore. I have actually known about this game for well over a year.
It is impressive looking game, but in the end noting more than a glorified digital pet. So, meh, I kind of doupt I will end up getting it when it finally hits the shelves.
Beyond the fact that game will have like uber graphic requirments, I don't tend to go for games that require some much attention. I am a lazy gamer. xd

One of the main reasons that it impreses me so much is that the requirements probably -won't- be that much to beging with. Chances are you'll need a better processor than a better videocard for this, as there'll be more comp thinking than comp generating pre-made graphics, since it basically just re-generates new worlds, textures and stuff on it's own.
Just like that one gun game, which I can't remember the name of for the life of me, which looked like a hyped-up Quake and was barely 92kb big.

I've been watching out for this game since last E3. It looks so freakin' groovy it hurts. I'm totally going to make a race of ferrets, or two headed foxes, or a race of phoenixes. Oh yeah. With big big BIG guns. ^_^ Hehehe. Nothing says HELLO like blowing up planets.
Plus I love the "There goes my reputation as a non-violent video game developer" line. BEST. LINE. EVA! BELIEVE IT! ninja

You beat me to making a thread! gonk Next Time Doomie...you won't be so lucky... ninja
Anyway, that movie is like...so amazing! It's almost orgasmic! eek I can't wait until the game comes out...I am so going to get it the minute it comes out....it's fricken awsome! domokun
In addition to that, I can really really see the creature editor thingy revolutionize character creation for other games like RPGs. I mean, just imagine being able to create different species to play as in a 3d world... Just...so much that could come from this...this really could be one of the greatest games ever made. crying It's so beautiful...
(Note: If I don't stop, someone better hose me down and slap me a little. I don't think I'd want to stop otherwise. >.> )

Hate to resurrect old topics...but this is important and relates to this... ANOTHER VIDEO IS OUT! eek (Excuse the capitalization. razz ) But another vid is out! =D It's on IGN! http://media.pc.ign.com/media/735/735340/vids_1.htmlUS version...but...it didn't download fully for me. >.< So you may need to download the video from IGN UK. http://uk.media.pc.ign.com/media/735/735340/vids_1.htmlUK version. Still downloading currently. Video is about 202MB!So watch out, those with slow connections. I'm currently saving it straight to hard drive, but it may be better if you guys use streaming...I don't know. *Shrugs* This is Quicktime format too, unless you're an IGN subscriber. Also as a side note... http://www.xspore.com/Website for Spore fans! =D I think it's UK based though, but who cares?! It's SPORE! domokun
