This was an idea that popped into my head because of my BF. I have a One Piece story I'm doing. Since he was a fan long before I was counting on him to give me their reactions to situations. Going on a wiki is fine and all, knowing their personalities but it won't tell you how that person would react to something given their past or experience. "If I did this would he respond or just watch?" "She died but in his profession lots of people die, he wouldn't give her the time of day right?" etc...
Plus going into a story you type with the end result of what you want to happen in your head. Is that truly what the character would say? or is that what you WANT them to think or feel, when actually they wouldn't care. We can be clouded by what we want VS what would actually happen. Least that's what I think.
Not that there is nothing wrong with that, but for my own writing I want to be as true to the character as I can be. Even if that means the two people I try to pair up together end up fighting a lot. It's the challenge to put things in their way that will make the bond between them stronger. Or Change the way a woman or man thinks about life.
So I thought why not have other people help like this. Someone posts a situation and circumstance that they need to know how these people would react together. It can be for actual story writing or even just for giggles.
Ex: Ed from FMA:BH met Allen from d-gray man. What how would they react to each other?

I have done this a few times, actually. I have a few friends that I talk to and have them read over the chapters I've written and have them tell me whether or not I kept everything in character.

Yeah, I need it a lot because there are just some people in One Piece that I'm like "uhh not surrrrrre" and I have to twist my story to involve an event in which they would have to react the way I want them to. Which opens more possibilities for future exploitation.

That can get very frustrating. >.>

Mostly just for giggles and not for any serious writing. But sometimes, our 'what if' suggestions do give rise to some interesting fan fic ideas.

Yeah that is what we do to, which is why I thought this would be a good thread to make/start. Hell when we do RP I make challenges like "Ok if you couple with someone it has to be a side character" Hell we did an RP once of One Piece in which my character was mute

Oh, this is a really good idea. Sometimes I'm writing different characters and I think "Yeah, I've got this" until I go back and read it. Then, it doesn't even seem like the right character portrayal or some traits for other characters have managed to bleed into the wrong character. gonk
I'll definitely come here when I run into that issue again.
