Of course, I had to back David Xanatos. Now, don't get me wrong, I like Lex. But Xanatos is a much more three dimensional character than Luthor.
Lex gets too vengeful and passionate, which causes him to make really, really stupid mistakes. He often sets his sights too high. A man has to know his limitations. He sacrifised the Oval Office for a gamble to destroy Cadmus, frame the League and place himself in an android body, which came back fired on him, severely. If, he had been more patient, he could have easily won the presidency and truly been a thorn in the League's side.
Xanatos on the other hand, almost always walks away with some kind of victory. And he always, always has contingency plans. He also rarely ever loses his cool, and always, always plays it smart. He is practical, and he knows he has nothing to prove, so his pride doesn't get in the way. He stays focused on his goal.
He never throws a temper tantrum when he loses, unlike Lex, he simply learns from his mistake and moves on to the next plan.
