Felix walked into his new room, hoping that he was in the right place.
He walked around and did a once-over of his surroundings, and stopped when he reached the bedroom. The rest of the place looked lovely, but he especially appreciated the design tastes of the one behind the bedroom.
"...Blue," he commented quietly to himself approvingly.
He blinked with a start when he heard shuffling sounds coming from one of the bags of luggage he held, and he knelt down to open it.
A very angry cockatiel popped out in a rush and whistled a string of complaints at him, only to be silenced with Felix bringing his index finger to his mouth and giving the avian a very pointed look. "...Sh. Callarás."
He didn't know if pets were allowed in this school, but he was bound to get in trouble if they weren't. Might as well not take his chances.
He propped the little bird up onto his shoulder and dug through the rest of his belongings until he found his cheap little laptop at the very bottom.
Good. That's still there. It contains all of his work.
Okay, technically it's a hobby, but still. It makes a little bit of money.
He opened it and set it on a small blue table, starting it up so that he could go over some information about the school.

Was typing furiously away on the keyboard as the bird watched lazily on his shoulder.
It piped an alarm at the sound of the door opening, but Felix ignored it.
When the unknown stranger spoke however, he abruptly stopped typing.
He looked up and stared at him curiously for a few moments before he answered.
"My laptop...?" He glanced back at the pc, almost bewhildered that anyone would not recognize what it was just from looking at it.
Or the system.
And the exact model, for that matter.
Of which this certain one is discontinued.
He tilted his head out of bad habit as he found himself trailing off deep in thought about random disconnected thoughts somewhat relating to his certain computer model.

Turned his dull expression back to the vampire, I little embarrassed that he let himself get distracted like that in the middle of conversing with someone.
"...Never seen a laptop before...?" His brow creased slightly in confusion.
"Oh. You're my roommate? I'm Felix. That's Miharu. He bites a lot. I guess he's used to me though."

Felix gave a curt nod and averted his gaze, glancing around the room, uncomfortable. Usually people don't talk to him, and for whatever reason he had assumed he wouldn't really have to communicate with anyone once he had transferred. But of course he had to forget that most of the students had dorms with roommates.
When Kira asked how it worked though, his eyes lit up and it was almost as if he transformed into a different person entirely.
"...How does it work? Well... It's quite different from most other computers because I mess around with it a lot! I even built in an application that functions as a personal assistant and execute programs for me. I guess using a command prompt window would work, but this way is much easier. There's also a studio program that I can make music out of with synthesized sounds, and I built in a browser so I can go on the internet with it too.
There are also some 3d modeling stuff I mess with in here, like Metasequoia, and I render 3d images with it. Plus there's the sony vegas... The Ruby scripting engine has been installed on it as well, which is pretty easy to use too, I guess. I like making games out of it, and messing around on different websites," he spoke almost in an excited manner, which contradicted with his frequent absent expression, yet the slight twitch upwards of the corners of his mouth betrayed his true feelings associated with talking about his passion of computers.
"What are you drinking?"

Felix angled away a little timidly on reflex.
"...Blood...? What are you, like a vampire or something? ...I guess I could show you some stuff," he pulled himself back up to the PC and opened a couple of the programs he mentioned, discreetly boasting about his work.
Most people think he's a loser for liking this kind of stuff, so he usually doesn't talk about it very much.

Felix looked at his scarf and back to the vampire, daunted, his brow crinkled ever so slightly.
"Uh...I-is that so...?" It's a good thing he always tends to wear scarves...
He hesitated for a bit, but an idea struck him.
"If I got you one and set up an easier to use operating system...Do you think that would help...? Also I could leave little notes hear and there for instructions I think..."

Felix blinked in surprise of how grateful Kira reacted. "I-it's not that big of a deal-" But he was interrupted by the vampire vigorously shaking his hand. The bird on his shoulder trilled in protest and fled back and forth across his arms to find a better perch. When Kira abruptly let go and reached for the bird, Felix started to word a protest, but it was too late. Miharu was already rearing to attack, and it angrily snapped at Kira's finger.
