Nickname: She only goes by Vendela.
Age: Vendela is twenty-five years of age, and she was born sometime in the Winter. She can never remember the actual date of her birth, and it is of no importance to her.
Gender: Vendela is a female.
Physical Appearance: Vendela has a thin frame. However, her legs are very powerful, and her arms are questionably strong. She can lift heavy objects, but she is not powerful when in combat. Her arms tire out much more quickly than her legs. Vendela has always been a very tall girl throughout her lifetime. The most common conversation starter she has heard is: "My, you're very tall!". Her weight has never been a problem, but when she gets sick, even if it's just for a day, Vendela loses lots of her body weight and becomes terribly underweight. It's hard for her to gain the weight back that she loses.
- Height: Vendela is at the height of five feet, eight inches. She has been told that she is fairly tall for a woman.
- Weight: She currently weighs in at one hundred thirty-seven pounds.
- Hair: Vendela was born with blue hair. The scientists of the Aria nation often requested to examine her as to study this occurrence. Nobody has come to a conclusion on why Vendela was born with naturally blue hair. She usually keeps it tied back to keep it from falling into her eyes. On special occasions, Vendela will let her wavy hair cascade over her shoulders and fall halfway down her back. Her hair is easy to maintain for the most part, except first thing in the morning.
- Eyes: Like her hair, Vendela was born with blue eyes. Deep blue eyes are a hereditary trait that is passed down in her family being that it is a recessive gene. Scientists often wonder if maybe the gene for her eye color got mixed in with the hair color gene.
- Skin: Vendela is a Caucasian, however, she has paler skin than normal, even when she's out in the sun for long periods of time. She believes it has something to do with her frail health.


Personality: Vendela is soft-spoken and a woman of few words when attending public events. When she does talk, Vendela is an eloquent speaker. However, when she's with her family or close friends, she becomes quite the little chatterbox. She was raised to be a polite woman. She uses logic above all else and is not easily swayed by men or other influences. She only promises what she knows she can keep. People admire her because she knows her limits. Vendela is very well-informed of current events, other people, and the past. She's very hard-working and dependable. Vendela can usually tell when someone is lying to her.
- Character Flaws: Vendela is also very short-tempered and is quick to snap. She will forget where she is or what she's doing and argue with someone until she believes the issue has been solved. Vendela does not trust easily and is very blatant. When she gives someone an answer, she will fire her reasons why she said so. When Vendela meets someone she doesn't like, she becomes cold and icy towards them and lets them know unconsciously. She also remembers anytime someone has offended her or wronged her and will not forgive it easily.
Biography:
- Childhood – Vendela was born twenty-five years ago to Vera and Göstav Niequist. Her left hand was touched and blessed at her birth by Mali. However, the hand comes with a price. Since she has a blessed hand, Vendela has frail health. When her parents are no more, she will become the Duchess of the Niequist Dukedom because she is the oldest child. Vendela was born with fluid in her lungs and was rushed away immediately by a team of trained Healers. She was cured within two days' time. Due to her frail health, Vendela had to stay under the care of the Healers for three months until she was well enough to go to the Niequist Manor. She was raised with care throughout her childhood. Vendela first started going to a prestigious school for aristocrats only when she hit the age of four. She also began studying alchemy around that time. At school, Vendela met her soon-to-be best friend, Elliot. They both shared a love of alchemy and knowledge. When Vendela was ten years old, Duke Niequist (her father) left to destroy the Non-Elementals in a group with other Elementals. Vendela had been told that her father was away on business. On er eleventh birthday, Vendela heard her paternal aunt grieving the loss of the Duke, who had committed suicide due to the guilt of slaughtering the Non-Elementals. Realizing that she had been lied to, Vendela vowed never again to trust her family.
- Teen Years – Not being able to trust her family, Vendela spent most of her time out and about. She had started studying alchemy when she had been four years old and pored over anything she could find that related to the subject since. When she was fourteen, Vendela came across the studio of a fellow alchemist named Benedikt and entered into an apprenticeship with him. The apprenticeship lasted until she was twenty because he had calmly passed away. In his death, Benedikt entrusted all of his materials, research, books, and equipment to Vendela. She also received his studio and money since he had no one else to give it to. Shortly after Benedikt's death, Vendela reopened the alchemy studio under a different name and ran a successful business. Instead of charging money, she charged for information she didn't already know. Shortly after her shop opened, Vendela formed the Veteran Alchemist Association, (VAA) a group of experienced alchemists to meet together and exchange research and information along with her best friend of fifteen yeas at the time, Elliot. The members are free to talk about alchemy without the harsh comments from cynical people and those who like to criticize others.
- Present Day – Vendela has had her alchemy studio for five years. She's celebrating twenty-one years of information on alchemy. Lately, her mother has been in and out of the Healers' care due to old age. Because of this, Vendela temporarily closes her shop and attends social events and royal meetings in her mother's stead. Her mother sat down with her when she was twenty-three and had a long conversation about who she was going to marry. Throughout her life, Vendela had only met one man she fell for, and he was dead due to a fistfight that broke out in a tavern. His wounds had been fatal. Since then, no men had appealed to Vendela. She decided that she will marry a man who steals her heart. If she doesn't meet that man, then so be it.
Marital Status: Vendela is single and has eyes for no one as of the present.


Species/Race: Vendela is a celestial as far as she knows.
Element: She is affiliated with the water element and has good control over it due to her noble birth.
Elemental Abilities: Vendela has the power to shape-shift water into any shape or form. If she has fighting in mind, Vendela can make water copies of herself to fight, however, they are destroyed after one hit. They can hit their enemy without dissipating though. If she's running from an enemy, Vendela can "melt" into a large source of water. (i.e. a lake) However, she resurfaces whether she likes it or not after five minutes. Lastly, Vendela can use water as a source of transportation by dissolving into it. However, she can only transport herself somewhere within a five mile radius, and it really wears Vendela out making her want to sleep. It takes a large effort of time and concentration, so she cannot use this ability when fleeing others or in battle.

Class: Vendela is an alchemist.
Class Abilities: Vendela is very well-versed in potion brewing and the properties of the potions she brews. She knows the effect they have on the human body and the effect in nature. She knows pretty much every poison, but every once in a while, someone will come into her shop and inform her about a poison she didn't know existed. Also, Vendela has had a lot of practice, experience, and training with Transmutation. Thus, she can transmute more than the average alchemist.
Occupation: Vendela works as an alchemist. In exchange for her services, she requires the customer to tell her something she doesn't already know. It can be about current events, other people, or history, but she'll accept any information as long as it's true.

Vendela is also the founder of the Veteran Alchemist Association. (VAA) She chooses when to hold meetings and currently has a little over fifty members, including herself. The requirements to join are a vast knowledge of herbs, poisons, and potions, and the applicant must be capable of transmuting three of the hardest objects to transmute. The average years of experience the members have is ten to fifteen years of studying and performing alchemy.

However, she is the heir apparent to the Niequist Dukedom. Thus, Vendela attends meetings and social events among other aristocrats. Once she inherits the Dukedom entirely, she may have to cut back her hours as an alchemist. She may also have to step down from the association and entrust it all to the co-founder, her best friend of twenty-one years, Elliot.


Weapon(s): Vendela doesn't believe in weapons. However, her left hand is usually gloved because it was blessed by Mali. It is gloved to cover the glow. She uses her hand to produce light that can temporarily blind or stun people for twenty seconds. During the time the person is blinded or stunned, Vendela will try her best to convince the person to stop fighting. She also uses it to light the way in dark places. However, using her hand even the tiniest bit makes Vendela cough up blood and pass out.

Other information we should know: Vendela's mother is on the verge of death. The Healers say she will only last for another six weeks. Also, the entire Niequist Dukedom is made up of dog lovers.
