Morning finally breaks through eventually after what seemed to be a rather uneventful night, or at least, one that was as eventful as usual. In a rather small abode of an apparent Priestess to some deity unnamed, a young woman stirs in her slumber. This particular woman is probably the single most dangerous thing to herself, and possibly, most that meet her, depending on the situation.
Getting up from her bed, this particular woman only known as 'Senshi' awakens, and leaps out of bed, going through her morning bouts of stretching vigorously. After perhaps an hour of doing so, along with her morning workout, she removes her shirt, and proceeds to whip herself repeatedly. Ten a morning never did any permanent damage or left marks that wouldn't go away with time, and it got her blood flowing for possibly anything else that would be needed to be done in terms of battle. To break from her set morning ritual for any reason would dishonour her name, her family, her friends, and pretty much everyone she knew, in her mind, and she would have to commit ritual seppuku. After that was over and done with, she puts her shirt back on, and proceeds to don her usual robes, with a satisfied sigh. Setting her three swords in place, she proceeds out of the room for her other morning rituals.
Moving to the kitchen, she picks out a good sized leek, and stands in a very specific way. Feet apart, waist lowered, spine straight. Grasping the leek firmly in both hands, she moves it forward, then brings it straight back, into her forehead, shouting 'ONE!' very loudly. She repeats this about twenty times, before setting the leek down, and proceeding to cook with it. Why was she using a leek for breakfast foods? Who knew. Leeks could be used for anything, and she'd already beaten herself with it. May as well use what was already readied. And so, the Good Ronin prepares breakfast for her master, though goes without food herself. After all, to eat before one's master or even THINK about preparing food before one's master had awoken was mortal sin, and would bring dishonour to her name, her pets, her friends, and the shopkeeper down the road.
With this completed, she goes to bring her master breakfast in bed, quietly knocking on the door, before entering, and avoiding eye contact. There was no eye contact without permission. She would bow upon setting the food down. Then, assuming all was well, proceed to greet her master with the traditional greeting she had come up with herself. To do otherwise would be a spiritual sin, bringing dishonour to the gods she worshiped, her family, and the homeless man across the way.

"...eighteen... nineteen... twenty." Paz counted to herself, laying on her back with arms crossed behind her head. Two weeks had passed since she'd brought a certain roaming ronin under her employ. Two weeks had she awoken to the same disturbing ritual. Only once did she make the mistake of interrupting said ritual.
The Tengu let out a sigh and turned on her side, facing away from the door. She knew that, in a few moments time, her breakfast would be served, diligently, on the hour, not a minute past. And she would have to act asleep, lest she risk ruining said ritual. She made that mistake once, as well. In the fourteen days that had passed, Kazuhima had learned a small amount of the ronin's strict code, and was finally able to at least get through the morning without any complications. It cost her about an hour of sleep, but that was negligible she supposed.
"Three... Two... One." Paz whispered to herself, watching a small dial she had set up on her nightstand. The morning sun's light had reached a single, small notch she had made on its surface, and just as it did, there was a knock on her door. Paz feigned a yawn, and followed with a single word; "Enter."
"Good morning, Senshi." Kaz sat up and stretched. She didn't bother offering a smile, knowing that the warrioress wasn't even looking at her, really. Paz slid her legs off the side of the bed, being careful so as not to disturb the tray of food, and cast a few stray locks of her hair over her shoulder. "You may look at me," she said in a rather uninterested tone. Granted she was more annoyed than uninterested, but it sounded the same. Once Senshi had looked at her, she did offer the woman a smile. "I thank you for the breakfast, though, while it is appreciated, I must still insist that it is quite unnecessary." There was a small flash of light from somewhere behind her back, and two white wings began to unfurl, no longer concealed with magic. Her wings stretched and batted once, then folded neatly at her sides.

"Un... necessary...?" Oh no. No no no. She dishonoured her master. Stupid, stupid, stupid, idiot, idiot, idiot. Senshi mentally prepares herself. She could no longer live. Tears filling her eyes, she starts to sob, bowing. Everything had gone so well, up until now. "M-master... I'm... I'm so sorry... I've... I'VE FAILED YOU!!!"
With those familiar words to probably everyone in the village, she gets up on her knees, sobbing, and unsheathes her Wakizashi, pointing it towards her stomach. "I ONLY ASK THAT YOU REMOVE MY HEAD AS IS RITUALLY ACCEPTABLLLLLLEEEEEE!!!!" With those last words, she moves the sword back, and proceeds to try and jab it straight into her stomach. This was Senshi's punishment. This was how she had spent the last two hundred and eighty or so years of her life. And this, was how everyone in the village knew her, or would know her. The Hyper-Honourable Over-Reactive Ronin!

What. No--no. Oh no. ********, wait!!" Paz exclaimed, flailing about and quickly leaping from the bed to catch Senshi's arms by the wrists, halting the movement of her blade. "That is quite enough, I meant nothing of the sort...!" Slowly, and with some force, she tried to wrest the wakazashi from Senshi's grasp. If successful, she would then set it on the nightstand beside her, then held the wolf by her arms. "You are a wonderful serv--... Attendant, and you take very good care of me. I do not know what I would do without you, so... please, do not take your own life. You are a good and honorable woman... I will do no such thing as removing your pretty head, because it is perfectly fine where it is on your shoulders." Paz recited, having come to rely on a similar speech each time the ronin had entered one of her "episodes".
Sometimes, she felt more like Senshi's servant than the other way around.

Senshi's grip is surprisingly easily broken, and she blinks in legitimate surprise, despite a similar happening being more than just daily nowadays. Falling back a little as her master takes her by the arms, she looks up, mouth agape and tears streaming down her face, her cheeks lighting up with a bright blush as per anime logic.
"Kazuhima-sama..." A look of determination on her face, she nods, and bows her head, before looking up at her master once more. "I... I won't fail you again, Master!" With that, she for whatever reason gives Paz a hug, even though that most likely broke many parts of her code, then releases her, giving another bow. "I am not worthy, to be able to serve under such a merciful and honourable woman! T-thank you, Kazuhima-sama!"
And with that, the Ronin promptly sits, head bowed, in front of the bed, as was customary. To do otherwise was to dishonour her master, the house she lived in, the next door neighbors, and every nobleman and woman in the land.

Paz let out a relieved sigh, happy to have resolved this little incident rather quickly. "Yes yes, of course. Now then--" Suddenly, the ronin had chosen to hug her? Well, that was certainly unexpected. Her past recoveries usually involved her bowing and trying to exit the room as quickly as possible, or flattening herself to the ground in the deepest bow that would make the most devoted of worshipers envious. Perhaps she was finally lightening up?
Not likely.
Paz patted Senshi's shoulder when she was let go. "You are too courteous, dear... Now, I should dress and prepare myself for the day. Please, if you would be so kind...?" She asked, intending for Senshi to leave the room. Admittedly, the food Senshi had prepared smelled delicious, as always, despite its somewhat questionable ingredients. But eating in one's sleepwear was simply distasteful!

Senshi gives a quick nod, and stands up, bowing once again. Then, she quickly proceeds to leave the room after retrieving her Wakizashi, bowing as she exits once more. Sheathing the blade, she closes the door behind her, and goes to prepare a meal for herself. Heading down to the kitchen, she grabs a fine leek, and then stands in that same position as earlier. Moving her hands forward, firmly grasping the leek, she reels them back, hitting herself once more. 'ONE' she starts, and continues only for fifteen now. After all, to beat oneself with a leek intended for oneself rather than one's master equal or more times than the one intended for one's master was absolute blasphemy, and a soul sin that would dishonour Senshi, the nobles of the land, and the mountains.
After beating herself with the leek, she cooks it up and makes herself some food as well, sitting down at the table. Clasping her hands together, she utters five prayers, all to the wellness of her master. No more, no less. To overdo it would dishonour herself and make herself out to be pathetic. To underdo it would dishonour her master and make herself out to be shameful and lazy. This is how her personal code was written, and this is how it would be so.
With that over and done with, the Ronin starts eating her food...

Once Senshi had left, Paz let out a loud, exasperated sigh. Well, at least she could dress and eat in peace now, which she promptly did. Going about her own rituals, the Tengu was soon dressed in the white and dark blue robes she favored so much above others, too-long sleeves and all. A couple hair accessories and other ribbons later and the self proclaimed Priestess was properly dressed. She made relatively quick work of the ronin's cooking; as noted earlier it was very delicious, so much so that Paz was starting to worry for her weight.
A short time later, Paz joined Senshi in the kitchen, having brought down the tray and now empty plates of food that Senshi had so kindly brought her. As she entered, Paz smiled warmly her 'attendant'. "Thank you, Senshi-chan." She said casually, setting her things beside the sink. "As always, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!" The priestess clasped hands together and gave the warrior a bow, then accompanied her at the table. "Are you well today? Your accommodations are comfortable, yes?"

Senshi finishes her dish quickly, careful not to eat in front of her master without permission. Such discourse would surely result in dishonouring everything in the world for some reason. Though the dish was holy, blessed with leeks, her Master was more important than the most divine of vegetables, and even divine herself. After all, she was a Priestess, and one that Senshi would follow with unquestioning devotion until the end of her life.
Bowing as she entered, Senshi looks up, having been given permission once meaning that she'd have permission to address her master with slightly less of a strict posture and demeanor than earlier, though she'd still be damned if she showed her any disrespect by addressing her in a familiar way, or any way other than that she was used to. Wait... Senshi-chan? Oh no. Senshi's face grows bright red, and she bows, almost hitting her head on the table. "K-Kazuhima-sama!!! Y-you are most welcome!" She keeps her head low, not wanting to have her master see her in such a way. "I-I am doing v-very well... My accommodations are perfect for my needs, m-my master!" Dammit. Did she ******** something up? Maybe. No, probably not. Either way, she keeps her head bowed.

Oh dear. Had she said something wrong? No, no... Senshi wasn't trying to kill herself, and instead seemed merely flustered. That was better, Paz supposed, but she couldn't help but feel awkward anyway. "Se... Senshi-chan, you're going to get your hair in your food." Paz chuckled, standing up from the table and moving around it, approaching the warrior. With a gentle touch, she put on hand on Senshi's shoulder, the other trailing under her chin so as to bring her head upward to look at her.
Smiling down at her, Paz continued, "I am glad your accommodations are suiting for you, but are you sure you are feeling well? Your face is red - are you catching a fever?" Genuinely concerned (and completely oblivious), Paz took the chance while holding Senshi to lean down and press her lips to the woman's forehead, an otherwise simple and effective means of gauging one's temperature that couldn't possibly be misconceived as an affectionate gesture! "Mh... yes, you are quite warm. Please take good care of yourself, Senshi-chan."

Okay, well, this was certainly... new. Senshi had no idea how to feel about this. As Paz touches her shoulder, she tenses up, then shudders. "W-wha..." What was her master doing? This was far too familiar... far too... close. She could feel her face growing an even darker shade of red. Could it be...? Could her master possibly share her feelings? No, no, that wasn't right. Perhaps this was a test of her own willpower? It BeginsThen it happened. With the hand under her chin, she freezes up, looking Paz in the eyes. Face red...? Catching a fever...? Then, her master had done it. Had she just... just kissed her? Then called her Senshi-chan again... Senchi couldn't handle this. It was far too sudden, far too.... lewd. With that, a stream of blood starts to trail from her nose, and she proceeds to fall out of her chair, hitting her arm on the table in the process. Upon standing up, she quickly finds something to wipe the blood away until... oh no... No... she just knocked over her master's good chair... all in a stupid blunder, thus failing the test of willpower! She bows in front of Paz. "M-MASTER! I'VE FAILED YOOOOOUUU!!!" She cries, starting to sob. Drawing her Wakizashi, she looks up at her master, tears streaming in a consistent manner down her face. "PLEASE REMOVE MY HEAD AS IS RITUALLY ACEPTABLLLLLLLEEEEE!!!!!!" She sobs, readying herself to cut her stomach open.

"!!!! Senshi NO!" A swift chop to the wrists later, and Paz had once again seized the warrior's wakazashi and set it on the table beside them. She then proceeded to dust Senshi's armor off from her tumble off the chair. "That was my fault, you are not to blame! I did not mean to invade your personal space and for that I am sorry, your m-... master made an error. You are a good and honorable assistant to me, so please do not leave my employ in body or spirit!" Paz took a handkerchief from her person and used it to dry the wolf's tears, then the other half to blot her bleeding nose. She then patted Senshi's shoulders firmly and gave her a smile. "Please continue to do your best!"
Confident that this had quelled the wolf's ritualistic urges this time around, Paz took a few steps back and... sighed internally. Externally, she kept up the bright and cheerful smile, hands clasped, looking like the good little priestess she was. Honestly, this warrior was turning out to be more trouble than she was worth... But, she looked so cute when she was happily serving her master. Paz couldn't possibly send her away...
The priestess circles Senshi and took up the chair in her hands, turning it upright. "Now then, would you be a dear and clean the morning's dishes? I would deeply appreciate it~ After all, we have a duty to perform today, so I will need your assistance! ... Also, could you please clean the blood from the floor?"

Senshi looks up at Paz, still sniffling a bit. Personal space? "B-but... I knocked over you c-chair...?" With Paz reassuring her, she nods, calming herself down. Alright! "Y-yes, Master! I will continue to do my best!" A new look of determination replacing her sad expression, she nods again, balling up her right hand into a fist. She would complete her service to Paz, and she would surely be her final master! If she weren't, then Senshi would be forced to commit ritual seppuku, as it would dishonour her, her name, her family, and the family's pets, as well as any distant relatives.
Standing up, she bows to Paz, taking her Wakizashi and sheathing it. "Anything for you, Master! And, please, do not place blame on yourself for anything! It was my fault for knocking over your chair." Yep. All of it over a chair. With that, she proceeds to clean her nose and the floor to the best of her ability, before moving to do the dishes as well. After all, if she couldn't do such a menial task for her master, despite being a distinguished Ronin, she wasn't worthy of serving such a noble Priestess of... well, whatever god Paz had worshiped. Senshi was still a little confused on that front, but mostly paid it no mind. And so, there she was, doing the dishes, seeming very happy in comparison to just a moment ago.

While Senshi tidied up, Paz left the room momentarily and went into her office. On her desk were a neatly arranged stack of papers, standing around ten inches tall. She carefully took them up in her arms and returned to the kitchen, setting the stack onto the table, after it had been cleared.
"Alright. Today, we must make preparations for a special event!" Paz took one of the papers - which turned out to be a flier - and held it up for Senshi to see. "I plan to hold a sermon for my followers at the end of the week! We must prepare these fliers to be distributed to the village folk, either today or tomorrow, depending on how long this takes!" She set the flier down and left for the office again, returning once more with some ink and quills. "I had these fliers printed up, but I decided to write the signature in myself. I believe it would be much more authentic that way, wouldn't you agree?" Paz seemed quite pleased with herself as she arranged the supplies in twin sets, one for herself and one for Senshi. "I will show you how I write my signature, and then you can help me sign the fliers. Now, come here~"
Paz took one of Senshi's hands and pulled her closer, and toward the table. With an inked quill, she moved the ronin's hand in a smooth, practiced motion across the paper, eventually producing what would be the priestess' personal signature on the flier, and completely ignoring the fact that she was very much inside Senshi's personal space again and likely pressed against her side quite firmly in the process.

Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no. Close proximity. This wasn't good. Senshi had listened to everything her master had said up until this point but... learning her signature? Okay... So far so good. Stay calm Senshi. "E-erm... M-master... I-" As soon as Paz presses close to Senshi, she gets another nosebleed, and a very... bad one at that. This was bad. The blood was dripping onto the papers. No. No no no no no.
Okay, Senshi was freaking the everliving ******** out. Would her master be mad? Surely. There was no question. How to fix this? Could she fix this? What could she do? So many questions ran through her mind, before she eventually just kind of... passes out. Blood loss and being flustered to such a great extent wasn't the best combination.
