Teto Rae-Flame Gem Protector-New Trainer  "It's been a while" the young girl muttered. Teto Rae - or simply Rae as she preferred- stood on the pier and looked at the giant sea. Next to her was her longest and closest friend, Rando, her Growlithe. She sighed again. She didn't even remember when she left home to become a trainer, to stop this borring life of simply hatching pokemon and nothing else. Rae had some regrets just leving her home Saffron City but she couldn't stay forever home. "Well, Rando, I guess we could visit some nice places here". The only response was just a bark from the shaggy, red furred doglike pokemon. Location: Cinnabar Port

   Nicholas sighed as he stood on the ferry. It was a long trip all the way from Hoenn but now he could finally the first step to the start his journey as one of the Gem Protectors. It was natural he would choose to come here since he did live in Lavaridge Town. Cinnabar Island was basically it's equal with a volcano nearby and all. Nicholas sighed as he heard an announcement. We have now arrived on Cinnabar Island. Please remember to bring all your things and enjoy.. Nicholas would simply smile and then walked outside, his bag slung on his shoulder. Stepping off the ferry and out of the pier he stopped and looked around. He didn't have a clue about the place in the slightest so what he would do was unknown. Maybe he should stop by the Poke Center first and get a room or maybe he should go straight to the Flame Gym and apply as a Gem Protector.
He sighed before he noticed a girl with a growlthe. He placed his hand under his chin and wondered if she was a gem protector who was on a stroll with her pokemon. He decided that he should just go and get to the gym first of all and worry about accommodation later. Sleeping outside wasn't a bother to him anyways so it would be fine if he failed to get a room. Nicholas would walk over to her and asked, "Hello there. Just wondering but you wouldn't happen to be a Gem Protector? If yes would you kindly direct me to where the Flame Gym is located?". Teto Rae-Flame Gem Protector-New Trainer Rae turned when she heard Nicholas voice and smiled shy. "Oh, well..." She rubbed her neck. She always did this when she met someone who was a stranger to her but she tried to be kind. "That is correct. I'm a Gem Protector." Rae looked at Nicholas face. "You want to go to the Gym? So you wanna meet the master of flames?" She laughed but stopped just a second later. She laughed often about her own sentences but hated this. "Sorry, I'm very unpolite...My name is Teto Rae. But please call me Rae." She gave her hand to the young man. When she did this her Growlithe stepped in front of his trainer and looked with a very serious look at Nicholas. Rae petted the little dog and pushed him aside. "He is kinda unsure infront of stramgers. He...he just wants to protect me. I wanna apologize..." She cowered down to her partner and saw some pokeballs at Nicholas clothes. "You are a trainer or something, right?" Location: Cinnabar Port

Nicholas would listen as she revealed both her name and the fact that she was a gem protector which he had suspected. Nicholas was about to say something when Rae's growlithe basically stared at him with a protective aura for it's trainer. Nicholas would hear her question if he was a trainer and Nicholas replied, "Not exactly. This are just some pokeballs and pokemon which I befriended back home and wanted to bring along for when I train as a Flame Gem Protector. Oh right I didn't introduce myself yet. I'm Nicholas Dolosera from the Hoenn Region. It's a pleasure to meet you.". Nicholas would give the girl a polite bow of the head before he would then ask, "Anyways would it be fine if you direct me to where the gym is? I want to discover whether or not I'm worthy to be an apprentice gem protector because if I'm not then I might as well just go off as an ordinary pokemon trainer or try another gym.". Nicholas had cut straight to the point since wasting time wasn't something he wanted to do. He didn't know whether or not there was a deadline to apply so if he failed he would rather quickly apply for another gym before it was said that he could no longer apply as a gem protector. Teto Rae-Flame Gem Protector-New Trainer Rae looked to both sides. "Of course I'll show you. I'm also here for a few days to challange the gym leader myself. I wasn't sure if I'm already good enough. But you look pretty strong. Come this way." Rae started walking in the other direction always following the shore. "So, you are from Hoenn?" she bend her head. "I've never been to this region before. How is it there? Are there many differences to Kanto?" Rae crossed her arms behind her back and looked expectant at Nicholas. She never left Kanto before and couldn't imagine how it could be. That's what made the stranger in front of her a little bit more interessting. Location: Cinnabar Port

Nicholas would follow the girl as she led him towards the gym or so he hoped. The girls seemed quite interested in the region. Nicholas would place his hand under his chin and said, "It's alright there. Nothing bad really happened in the region so far. I think as far as differences go I can't really say. This is my first time in the Kanto Region so it's only natural that I wouldn't know much about this Region so it's impossible for me to give you an answer to that unfortunately.". He would then ask, "Actually I'm just wondering but why exactly did you choose to be a part of the Fire Gym when there were many others you could have gone to?". His reason for joining the gym was cause his town was near a volcano so many fire type pokemon lived there. For that reason he developed a greater interest in the type over the others. Teto Rae-Flame Gem Protector-New Trainer The girl seemed a bit disappointed of his answer. There were so many different regions but she couldn't imagine that there was no or nearly no difference but she smiled not to show her feelings. When Nicholas asked her why she chose the fire gym and so the way of a fire gem protector she stopped walking and thought. "Hmmm.... why?" She often talked when she thought, hoping that noone would listen to her. "I guess... it's because of him." She pointed at her Growlithe. Rando started wiggling his fluffy tail. "Well, it's hard to say. My parents said when I was a still a child a wild Ursaring attacked me. And before it was able to do anything this little guy came from the nowhere. He just stood in front of me and protected me without even knowing me." She made a pause. "Since then he never went away. He always was at my side. And I always preferred fire pokemon since that day." She grinned towards Nicholas. Location: Cinnabar Port

Nicholas would listen as she explained about what had happened in the past. Nicholas would nod and say, "That's quite amusing to hear. Strange the Ursaring didn't end up attacking though since I doubt it would have been intimidated by a small digimon like Growlithe. Well different pokemon will act in different manners even if they are of the same species.". Nicholas would continue to walk on and then said, "Well I guess I can say a bit about a part of the Hoenn Region, specifically the town I was born in. It's called Lavaridge Town. It lies at the foot of the volcano Mt. Chimney. You can probably suspect this but the whole area was filled with Fire Type pokemon. Guess that's where my preference for them came from. Lavaridge Town was basically known for it's hot springs which is natural being so close to a volcano where the naturally flowing water would be quite hot to warm. Well that's all I'll say really.". He sighed and then stared up into the sky wondering what the gym would be like. Nicholas would then say, "By the way. Is the leader in the gym right now or do you think that it's best to wait somewhere around here for a bit until he returns?" OOC: Sorry for the late post. Teto Rae-Flame Gem Protector-New Trainer Fascinated the girl heard to the explanation of Nicholas. There really seemed to be not so many differences between those two regions but it was still really interessting for her. When hearing his story about the Hoenn Region she always nodded. 'He seems to be a real pro with fire pokemon' was what she thought and smiled to the young boy. The two of them were actually not as different as she thought in the beginning. When he asked her about the gym leader she stopped walking again. It was like she couldn't walk and think in the same situation. "Actually I don't know if the gym leader is in there." She laughed again and hated in the same second. "But well we can look. If he isn't there we'll maybe wait." They walked a little bit more at the shore until they reached the gym or Cinnabar. It was a small gym because the island was a small place at all. A part of it was build into the foot of the great Cinnabar volcano that stood right behind the building. Rae gulped. She felt a little uncomfortable but she didn't know why. It was actually Nicholas who wanted to fight against the gym leader, not her. But while the two went to the gym she thought of maybe fighting the leader too. Rae opened slowly the door of the gym and looked carefully from one side to the other before she said "Hello? As the ship set port an announcement was heard overhead on the P.A. speaker,”The ship has arrived at Cinnabar Island. All passengers may now unboard the ship. Have a nice day!” While the rumblings of passengers are heard above a small pokemon, a Cyndaquil to be exact wondered around the small cabin. She frantically ran around the floor squealing,“Cinta Cinta!” like an alert. She latched onto the bed and crawled upwards and was faced with the body of her trainer bundled under the covers sloppily with her foot and arm hanging out. The Cyndaquil sniffed around her form and poked her, but no movement. Cyndaquil finally started jumping up and down on her motionless body but the only reaction she got was her trainer, Kole, rolling onto her side and almost squishing her. Kole, still laying down, raised her head upwards and looked at Cyndaquil with barely open eyes. She let out a loud yawn and questioned, “Ugh…what are you doing? You know I hate boats…” She yawned again and was prepared to lay her head back down into sleep, but Cyndaquil wasn’t going to have that. From her mouth a large puff of smoke escaped and clouded around Kole’s head. She jerked upwards and coughed from the smoke and tried to swat it all away, "Ack! Cuh…cuh what are you doin’ Cyndaquil!?”As she lightly coughed a few more time Cyndaquil ran over to the wall and jumped up and down, trying to point towards the window. Kole got out of the bed and ungracefully walked to window. She looked through and to her shock the ship was at port. She immediately shot around the room gathering her things, getting dressed and grabbing Cyndaquil under her arm to leave.
Outside the ship Kole ran onto the deck and looked around for the exit. Cyndaquil pointed over to the left end and she followed to where a man in sailor uniform was standing. She thanked him for the safe voyage and walked down the board to the port. She readjusted her bag and let Cyndaquil rest in her arms,"Okay girl let's head to the gym..."Though after such a long trip Kole began to rethink this. Instead of going to the gym right away she could go to the Pokemon Center and call her parents as well as get Cyndaquil a check up,"You know what lets go to the Pokemon Center first! Cyndaquil let out a cheerful squeak as Kole began to walk down the port and into town.
She was a little taken back by the crowd but she did recall Cinnabar being a nice resort area so it shouldn't have been all surprising. The one thing she kept on her mind however was if any of these people she passed by, ones on the ship, at the Pokemon Center, were protectors of gems like she wanted to be? She shook her head around and tried to forget her worries. As long as she had Cyndaquil with her she'd be okay, but she wants to be a good trainer to her too so here's hoping she can do it. She made it to the Pokemon Center building which was less crowded than it was outside, maybe there weren't many trainers here after all. She walked in and stopped at the desk where she asked, "Hello could you take a look at my Cyndaquil? We've had a long trip so I thought a check up might be good." The nurse replied"Of course it'll just a moment. Please have a seat while you wait."Kole nodded and sat down, taking out her PokeGear to call home, but for some reason a signal wouldn't go through so she went to the phone booths and tried one of them. Again the call didn't go through but she left a message saying she was fine and they had made it to the island okay. She paused thinknig of anything else to say but she couldn't so she said bye and hung up. Sitting on the bench waiting she remembered her parents would be out working today, her brother with their mother and their father at the construction site. A ding dong rang over the loudspeaker and she went back up to the desk with a smiling Cyndaquil waiting for her. She thanked the nurse again then asked,"Oh yes um do you know where the Gym is?" The nurse looked at her with a sly smile,'Oh I see, so you want to be a gem protector eh? Well you just go down this street and it's on the left you really can't miss it" Kole was surprised the nurse knew why she was there, but she didn't want to bother her with too many questions about it so she left.▒ ▒ ▒ ▓ ℱlame Ꮆem ▓ ▒ ▒ ▒

The closer Kole got to the gym she noticed less people were around maybe this place wasn't as entertaining or something to the tourists? She looked around and gazed at all the stores and to her atonishment a volcano rose to the sky. She suddenly felt a little uncomfortable being around something so dangerous, but if it wasn't safe then the town wouldn't be here. Cyndaquil cuddled into the bend of her arm and Kole petted her head, "Don't worry we're almost there"
She stopped looking at the sign for the gym. She saw two others walking in through the large doors so she skipped up the steps to the door and followed behind. Maybe being a little two quiet while they were asking for the leader she spoke sheepishly,"Um...hi? Is the leader here?"
