THAT FAVORITE SPORT YOU LOVE TO HATE!!
Blood ball is a international sport, played both underground and in wealthy districts with their own stadiums. A gladiatorial sport dedicated to honor, sportsmanship, teamwork, and DEATH. It is played on teams of at least three. A goalie. An offense and a runner. The only defense you need is your goalie! It's that intense! The offense protects the runner by attacking the opposing team when they have the ball. The runner scores by getting the ball past the goalie into the opposing teams field-goal. Much like American-football. Without the rules. There are no fumbles. There are no downs. The ball is in play until it is scored. Then it is reset. There is stealing, beating, bludgeoning, and battering. The only rule is: Death must be an audience consensus. Just like in the rings of Rome. Thumbs up, lives. Thumbs down, death. This rule has no place in the underground rings and people die left and right.

2.) Teams must be of equal size
3.) No murder without consent (unless in underground)
4.) Feel free to make your own blood-ball underground ring
5.) There is a ref for rule-breakers. Ref always win, regardless of stats.
6.) There are prizes.
xPrizes

xxLosing Team (surviving members): +5 stats (on top of word count), 1 level in fighting
7.) No god-modding
8.) Did I mention no god-modding? You're player will be wrecked by the ref.
How to play:
1.) Sign up.
2.) Go to the arena.
3.) Fight.
All team members from the opposing team need to be incapacitated to goal. First to three wins. If a goalie leaves their side of the field for more than one post, the other team automatically scores. Goalie gains a +10 defense bonus on their side of the field. Offense gains a +10 strength bonus on their opponent's side of the field. Runner gains a +10 dex and speed bonus on either, but a -10 to strength on an opponent's. The field is divided in half. 40 yards for both teams with 10 yards for the goals. You must cross to an opponent's field to score if your team has the ball.
Did I mention the ball has metal spikes that periodically come out? Oh! Yeah! The ball can hurt you too! Every two posts the ball sprouts spikes harming the person carrying it for 20hp unless they make a pass, drop the ball, or make a dexterity roll. The dex roll is 1d20 + 1/50 they have in dex. Success is 15+ on the roll and they wont be harmed. 10+, damage is halved. 10 and under is full damage. 1 is double damage. The ball is also extremely bouncy and can be rebounded off of walls, floors, and people. Have fun with that!
NPC's can be played for your team if you cannot find enough people to play with. I.E. It can be a 1 v 1 with 2 npc's on each team. NPC's have the same stats as the player controlling them.
About the Imperial Arena
The imperial arena is one of the first official blood-ball arenas with official rules and official teams. Kept in pristine conditions, this is were the champions typically play. The creme de le creme. The big shots. Where you can see red-blades going toe to toe at the expense of most of your life savings. Or, where newbies come to make their name and subsequently get their faces turned to hamburger by the more experienced players. Bets and winnings are higher here with an additional $500 pay-out. But losing nets you NOTHING. The ball is also an official blood-ball playing ball and has longer, more robust, better quality spikes which cause double the damage of standard balls. OUCH! The fans love to see the blood here!
