The plaza is the busiest part of the town after the marketplace. During the day, you can often find different kinds of performers showing off their skills near the fountain for the people's entertainment. The wide open spaces make it a popular choice for Pokémon battles as well, so you'll find a crowd gathering here to watch at least a few times a day. Tournaments and contests are also hosted here during certain months, so there's usually something going on. It's never a dull moment here, so make sure to swing by often!

(Trainers are allowed to do a PRP for the tournament once every six months. You may select any water type Pokémon to participate in the water type tourney and may choose between a Great Ball, a Water Stone, or a 20% off Discount Coupon for the Port Card Marketplace as your prize.
A PRP for the Fishing Contest can also be done once per month by paying 1,000 Pokédollars. To participate, all you need is a fishing rod. If you have that, you can make your post and roll a ten-sided die to decide the outcome. A one to three will net you nothing and leave you in last place. A four to eight will land you a Seaking for second place, and a nine or a ten nets you the first place prize by fishing up your choice of a shiny Magikarp, Staryu, or Frillish.
The second place prize is 2,000 Pokédollars and a 20% off Coupon for the Port Card Marketplace, and the first place prize is 5,000 Pokédollars as well as a Blue Flute. Regardless of the outcome, you will always be given a Lure Ball as a participation prize. Each person may only win the first place prize once. If you have already won it and participate again, the most you can win is second place.)
