Dramatis Personae stared at the ceiling of her room. It was a familiar ceiling, boring and dull- just like everything else in her life. She sighed loudly- really more of a huff, if you were being honest- and flopped over on her bed. Nothing was good in this world any more. Nothing. At least if you were a filly with horrible, no good, very bad writer's block- which she was at the moment. It wasn't fair. She had loving parents, siblings with whom she got along ok most of the time, a happy home... how was it possible that somebody with a literal ghost for a grandmother could have such a drama-free life? What was she supposed to write about if you were supposed to write about what you know? How was she supposed to get over this? Some noises from the back yard caught her attention. Rolling off the bed, she peeked out the window. Her sister Moondance was out there practicing magic. Magic! Unicorn magic! That also wasn't fair. Think of what she could do with unicorn magic! She quietly envied the unicorns in the family and their abilities. What couldn't they do? She decided to go out and watch Moondance in action- it would take her mind off the writer's block, at least. Quietly, she stood by the back door and watched.
