First off I wanted to say welcome back everyone, and a warm welcome to those who have joined us recently. But down to business.

Tales of Tedmund Changes

Many will notice that the Tales of Tedmund (TOT) Role-play (RP) has been cleaned out and reverted to a near blank slate. This was done with one goal in mind: a full reboot of the RP where nearly everyone is on the same footing.

What I mean by that is there will be very few SCP members above the Rank of Entrusted, for now. I want it to be a coming-of-age-type story where 90% of the active members are all working and growing together as missions, training, and life moves forward. My intent is to build a story that is not as fragmented as the last series. I am still thinking on how many senior SCP members will be included, but they will be NPCs only. 90% of the NPC will also be hands-off leadership, where you get orders and are left to make it work. I understand that there will have to be a few leaders on the ground helping others become leaders just like in any normal workforce, but they will be extremely limited.

Secondly, I am trying a different way of splicing together the posts from all involved parties, instead of having the 10-20 forums holding all of the cities and people posting in them at their leisure and as needed by the story. Instead there will be 2-3 forums posted for activity at a time. One will be for SCP activity, another for the Corrupted, and a third will be used as needed but it will be for combined actions; battles primarily, but at the moment any kind of joint performances will be posted here…Again this is a point I am still thinking. But at the end of a major event, or after so many posts, or if we need to move to a new major location and keep everyone together, Morti or Jen the Storyteller will lock the old threads, and open new ones for the next Chapter. This will require people to come by and check on their stories and keep as up to date as possible, and I do understand that this will throw the RP into a roller coaster of activity as stories take off and then wait for others to close. Though it is my hope that it will keep people posting and active as well. smile

Third, while this is a fantastical RP where things beyond current human capabilities are common, expect loss, whether it is battles, limbs, or life. Some people will die and never come back, others may come back but it will take time, and limbs should be expected depending on your characters abilities will be permanent or temporary. With all of that influencing you I am adding one more thing, events like what our characters WILL be going through are going to leave scars. Some visible, others not so much; please take these thoughts into account as all of our characters develop and change over the ages of the RP.

Finally, Morti and Jen the Storyteller are going to be collaborating and acting as the leaders of the SCP and The Corrupted. Jen is taking The Corrupted and I’m taking the helm at the SCP. I promise there won’t be any creepy stuff going on like last time. But if you have any suggestions for where you would like the story to go please contact me. Jen and I will work on it, and who knows, maybe it will come to pass. smile

Other Guild RPs
For the moment I have closed down the other RPs in the guild. I will not do anything further with the other RPs as they are not my creative idea. I am leaving them to their original creators as to what to do with them. If they can get enough support I will also re-open them. But for the moment I they will stay closed. RP creators please feel free to contact me directly in order to discuss this on a case-by-case basis.

Member Culling
As we have announced in the past, and sort of done in the past, Jen and Morti are going to wait about a month after this announcement. And any members that have ether not responded to Morti, or posted in the guild will be removed from the guild roster. This will not be a permanent ban. If you come back online and want to continue with the Guild we will welcome you with open arms. But with this activity is a must. Please use the leave sub forum in the chatter box as regularly as you can and as acutely as possible to announce both your departure and return to our halls.

In Closing
I hope all of you continue to participate in the TOT RPs and any of the others RPs that open up in the future.
