It had been a quiet walk from the main building to the dorm hall, and it seemed like it would stay that way until they at least got to the dorm they were headed for. It was...interesting he supposed he could say, because he half expected the male to b***h at him the whole way, or to at least attempt to ask him questions, and yet there they were...walking in complete silence. He could hardly hear the others footsteps now that he thought about it, and had to wonder, vaguely, if he even heard his. There was also the fact that not even his brother had spoken the entire time, and he had to wonder if he'd gone to "sleep". 'And what's with that symbol on his bag? I swear it looks familiar...but I just can't place it. Oh whatever it doesn't matter. Must not be important if it hasn't stuck in my mind.' He thought to himself as he glanced up just in time to see the plaque on the wall next to their door, labeled E and containing the names of only three people on it so far, two of them on one space, and the other directly below that. He blinked and glanced back a bit over his shoulder, and came to a sudden halt, not bothering to give warning to the other before hand.

『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart☬ 』

"Well, you've been quiet for quite a while haven't you? Anyways, we're here, this is dorm E. Hope this fixes my ruining your day." He said, turning around to face the other, once again looking a bit bored, but mostly only in posture, for there was the slightest spark of amusement there in his eyes. "Which, by the way, I personally do strive to go out of my way to do on a daily basis. Unless it feels like it might bore me at the time of course." He said, grinning coldly at him.

"Anyways I hate to say this but I doubt you'll be able to avoid me all that easily in this school and there is also the possibility I may purposely seek you out just to piss you off ya know? Not saying I would but it's always an option for me. Never know when I might get bored."

He stayed quiet the whole walk over. He kept his gaze locked on the ground, for the most part, besides looking up to scan for landmarks every once in awhile. The travel was finally catching up to him, and he was tired. He was cranky. He just wanted to curl up in a corner and forget this day ever happened. Was he being childish? Yes. But he didn't care. As long as no one important saw him do it, who cared? He regretted having made this decision, at least right away. It would have been better to slowly wade into this outside world, instead of immersing himself so completely.

Suddenly, the male leading him stopped, and he had to stop short as well. The last thing he wanted to do was actually come in contact with him. He rolled his eyes at the continuation of the sarcasm. "It's obvious you don't like me. I totally appreciate the help, but I can't say I have a pleasant impression of you, either. All I can say, is where I come from, purposely ruining people's day leads to a fight. And I really don't feel like getting thrown out of this school just cause you decided I'm not worth your time, or whatever bullshit is rolling around in that brain of yours. So, to try and prevent future issues, why don't you tell me your name, and I'll make sure I'm not in any of your classes. It's not too late to switch, and that way I have a better chance of never bothering you again. Or vice versa." he adjusted the bag on his shoulder, aware that his hand was twitching again. He had kept it clenched most of the way here, and it hurt suppressing it for so long. He kept it at his side, and just hoped the other didn't notice.

"Funny, I wasn't aware that I even made an attempt to give a good first impression? I'm not exactly here to make friends..And honestly I'd probably think there was something wrong with you if you didn't dislike me at this point." He said, rolling his eyes, before turning to glance back at the plaque. How was the other going to survive as long as they were going to be there with him in the same room? He wasn't sure he could, honestly, but he couldn't really judge him so easily just based off of the behavior he'd seen so far. He turned back to him and stared for a few moments in complete silence, debating on how to respond to his fight comment. No matter how much he didn't care if he got into a fight with others, he wouldn't deny that right at that moment, he really wasn't looking for one. Verbal banter would be fine but if it came down to a fist fight he wasn't sure what he might do, and the last thing he wanted to do on the first day was piss off his twin who was already extremely on edge as was. If he went into a rage so soon there really would be no stopping it. 'Best avoid that at all costs.' He thought to himself, wondering somewhere in the back of his mind why his twin was so quiet to begin with.

"Anyways, I'm not afraid of a fight with you so saying something like that means nothing to me. However I'm not trying to pick one, if I was you'd know it. Or maybe you wouldn't but either way, that's not what I'm going for here, and honestly? I don't give a ******** about you or anyone else in this school, it's not just you, and you know what else?"

『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart ☬』

"You might as well get used to it, because I highly doubt there is going to be a way to escape dealing with me any time soon if ever. You want to know my name, then why don't you just take a look at your paperwork or that plaque over there on the wall? It would be pretty useless trying to change classes I think.." He said, his voice somewhat cold as he spoke, his eyes losing any small amount of amusement they may have had in them and instead going completely cold, his expression dark. A moment later though he pulled out his schedule and handed it over to Leo anyways, so he could see which classes he would be taking. "So I guess we'll be seeing more of each other then, won't we. Legion?"

The sarcasm. It was grinding on his already sore nerves. He sighed at the males comment, but didn't respond. He wanted to, oh, did he want to. But he really didn't need to start a fight. Not on the first day. Maybe in the first week, but not in the first day.

But then the male kept talking. Told him to look at his papers, look at the plaque on the wall for his name. It took him a moment to understand exactly what this meant. Not that he was dull, but he really was tired, and it was getting harder and harder to comprehend all these new experiences. When he did finally put two and two together, the other had spoken once more, and the blank look on his face was replaced rather briefly with pain, as he flinched slightly at the use of his name. He had forgotten that the school refused to use the shortened version of his name. 'Better get used to it, Leo. People are gonna use it way more often now, and you can't flinch everytime someone says it...' He hated the reaction, honestly, but it was so instant most of the time, he usually didn't have a chance to stop it. He looked towards the other's papers as he spoke, taking them from him gently. His voice had lost it's irritated edge, and now his exhaustion was shining through.

"If you say you really aren't trying to start a fight, I'll take your word on it. Just... Please call me Leo. Not... My full name. Personal preference." he mumbled, scanning the paper in his hand. "Looks like we have Chemistry and Design together, so yeah, we'll see a lot of each other alright... Also, is this a typo? It says you have two first names. Which one is it, Aquios or Pharos? I saw it on my paperwork, but assumed it was two different people."

He looked tired, now that Aquios was actually paying attention, and wasn't focused on annoying him, and he had to wonder if maybe that had at least something to do with his behavior. Couldn't blame him, when he himself felt exhausted, though it didn't make him feel for the guy at all. 'Aquios...just..please stop...Give him a break for now. We have had a long trip, as I am sure he has as well.' He sighed, and brought a hand up to scratch the back of his head, before taking a few steps back so that he was standing in front of the door. Reaching into one of the few bags he had slung over his shoulders he pulled out a key, tagged with their dorms letter, with another key attached that had E1 and E2 engraved on it. 'Alright fine, I'll try, so long as he doesn't say something to piss me off or something. I also won't make promises, since honestly it's just too difficult to NOT mess with him.'

"I'm really not trying to pick a fight. If I was I'd probably be up in your face, or throwing out blatant insults that were purposely aimed at your ego or something. I'd hardly call anything I've said to you as harsh enough to warrant a bruised one. Maybe a skimmed one but a bruised one? No." He said, unlocking the door before pushing it open and glancing around at what he was able to see from the door. His eyes took on a slight glow so he could see into the dim lighting of the room since it seemed none of the lights were on. Then again if they had been he was sure he'd be a little concerned. "Good thing I'm not my brother. This area is really closed in." He muttered to himself before turning back to listen to Leo.

『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart ☬』

"You want me to call you Leo? For personal preference. I guess I can see why. Legion is a name I probably wouldn't want to be stuck with either. Um..No offense. Really."He hurried to rectify before he turned back to the dorm and reached in to turn on the dim light in the entrance hall. He was about to walk in as he listened to Leo talk about the classes they'd have together, just so he could at least get into the dorm before someone caught them off guard in the halls, but his next words brought him to a halt. He supposed he should have seen the question coming honestly but for some reason he hadn't expected it, and now he wasn't sure exactly what to say about it. He hated having to explain things to others about their situation, because it always brought up more questions. Ones he didn't want to answer. He placed a hand against the door frame, standing leaning partially into the entrance hall as he'd been about to walk through the door, and glanced over towards the male standing in the hall. Well...he supposed he might as well answer, but he sure as hell wasn't going to do so out in the hall.

"Oh...that...Well. I'd rather we not talk about it out here. You look exhausted. I feel like I'm about to fall on my face. We should at least get into the dorm before I start to explain anything. Sound alright to you...Leo?" He asked, well aware that his body language had probably changed a bit drastically because of his question, but not really caring. He was a bit tense now as he moved to head into the dorm again, and glanced over to see which door let where. It seemed their room was actually right next to the entrance hall. Whether that was convenient or annoying he wasn't sure, but it would have to do. He reached up to unlock the door, pushing it open and standing aside for Leo to go through.

"Part of it is probably my fault, too. I've had my hackles up since I got on the plane." he mumbled, as the other assured him of his intentions. When the other unlocked the door, he peeked over his shoulder, trying to do so without actually getting too close. He couldn't see much, because the lights were off. They were obviously the first people there.

And then his name situation. He really did need to work on a better way of explaining that to people, besides "personal preference." "No, I get it. I fought with the school for hours about labeling everything with it. It's on all my legal documents, though, so nothing they could do. No offense taken." He moved to follow him into the dorm, but the male stopped, and he just barely avoided a collision, for the second time. He wondered if the male just enjoyed doing it.

He listened carefully, though, when he spoke, and nodded. "I am pretty beat. Sounds good to me." He found it a bit odd, right off the bat, that two people with name issues and tempers were stuck in the same room. Hopefully they could get through their time here without bringing down the place.

Their room was right off the entrance hall, and although he didn't know how to feel about that, he shrugged it off. How would he know where he liked a room to be located? Maybe it was a good thing. Only time would tell. He closed the main door behind him, and flipped the lock, figuring if it was locked before they got it here, it was supposed to be that way. "Thanks." he said, moving carefully past the male as he held the door open for him. Now standing in the middle of the room, he looked around, unsure of what to make of it.

"Alright... So... You remember me saying I'm new to this social interaction thing, right? How... does this--" he cut off, gesturing to the room as a whole, "Work, exactly?"

"You had to take a plane to get here? Well, damn maybe I shouldn't have been so rough on you. Those things make me sick as ********. Much prefer to fly on my own." He said cringing at the idea of getting into one of those screaming metal death traps ever again. Once was enough for him, especially after it messed him up bad for a week after. Something about the pressure in the plane or whatever it was offset his and Pharos' balance too, which made things that much more difficult for them.'Oi, stop thinking about it! Just remembering is making me feel sick again, and I'm not even the one in control!' Aquios twitched at the sudden intrusion of his brothers voice yelling in his head, and he brought a hand up to press his fingers against his temples. Wasn't he the one who usually told him not to yell in their mind? Well whatever happened to that rule? 'Hey, could you, oh, I don't know, maybe NOT SCREAM IN MY HEAD!' He screamed in return, though perhaps a little more harshly than was necessary he'd admit. He felt his brother flinch back but he didn't respond.

"Jeez, give me a headache with your yelling.." He mumbled aloud before dropping his hand to his side and moving to follow Leo into the room, only lightly closing the door behind him and making sure the other could see he hadn't locked it. He didn't want to freak him out and make him think he was going to go all creep mode on him. "Well If it's that big of a problem maybe ask the teachers personally to call you Leo instead. Might listen never know I suppose. And my problem is a lot more complicated than just a name issue." He said shrugging as he glanced around the room, realizing he'd asked him another question.

『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart ☬』

"Oh this. Yeah..um. Only time I ever shared a room with someone was in the past with my twin...Basically since you have E2 you'll be staying on this half of the room, closest to the door, and you can pretty much use that half as you wish. This half, E1, is mine...and I can do as I wish with this half. Usually not touching others things seems to be a rule with people who spent their whole lives living with others..so I guess there is that too. I'm sure you understand a bed at least...?"He asked, glancing over towards Leo curiously. He himself had taken quite a long while to learn things like this himself in the past, and he didn't know Leo's story so in this case he supposed he could understand. There was no need to tease him about any of it and he'd also told his brother he'd try and be nice anyways, so he'd try...for now. However he still wasn't the best with what to do with sharing a room with someone other than his twin, so the rest he was at a loss for.

"Hope that helped a bit. Unfortunately I'm not the best at social interactions either, but, I'm sure you've noticed that already." He said, grinning, and laughing quietly, though there wasn't really much emotion behind either. After a moment he turned to move towards his own bed, his gaze raking over it as though checking it over for anything out of order. "Also if you had anything with you like bags or what not and you didn't plan on carrying them in with you they probably have been sent in, so if they aren't under the bed they may be in another part of the dorm...but...enough of that. I believe you asked me a question about my name situation."

"Both of the names are where they should be. Both names are correct for me. My name, personally, is Aquios, however the other name is the name of my twin. Pharos. We're completely separate people...but we share the same body. He's been here the whole time, up here, listening, nagging at me." He said, bringing a hand up and tapping lightly at his temple with one finger, without turning around to face him at first. Although he did eventually turn around, sitting on the edge of his bed and leaning back a bit, hands keeping him propped up." Although I'm sure that probably sounds absolutely insane to you."

"I know! Dear gods, it was terrible. And my handler didn't make it any easier, either. Made me sit by the window, and I could hear the engine. Turbulence, I think they call it? Yuck. Never again. When I go home for holidays, I'll ship my bags and pull on my hawk DNA. He said I was crazy, but... he's probably right." He grinned a little, feeling much more at ease, even though it was such a small thing to have in common. He had read in a book that having commonalities makes friendships easier. So, that was good, right?

His roommate mumbled something about getting a headache from the yelling, and he blinked a few times, before looking down at his shoes. "Sorry. I guess I shouldn't get excited over something so terrible. I was just glad I wasn't the only one who hated them." He watched the male close the door, and noted that he seemed to make a point to not lock it. It confused him, slightly. Both this door and the outer door had been locked when they arrived, so he had assumed they were supposed to stay that way. After all, doors with locks had them for a reason. Why have the lock on it, if it wasn't going to be locked? He shook his head, figuring he would just have to observe things a bit closer.

"I really hope they'll call me Leo. I don't know if I could stand it, if not." Hell, he still couldn't even say the name. The few times he had had to say it over the phone with school, he had spouted out his entire identification tag, project number and all. Talk about embarrassing. He didn't quite understand what the other meant about having more than a name issue, cause so far it seemed like just a name issue. But he waited for an explanation. 'No need to push him. Not now, when we're finally getting along, somewhat.'

Now, the part he was really curious about. The room situation. As it was explained that half the room was his own, and the other half was his roommates, he made a soft, "Ohhhh" sound, and moved towards his half of the room. He set his bag on the floor, and stared down at the bed. When asked if he understood it, he faltered. Hadn't he read something about beds...? "Uhh, yeah I understand it. You sleep in it. And... Plant things." He tried to sound confident in his answer, but really, he was lost. He just couldn't figure how the thing was supposed to work. How were you supposed to sleep that high off the ground? Maybe in an animal form, where you could dig your claws in, or something. But humans didn't have claws, and they all slept in beds. How did they stop from falling off? He pushed gently on it, and made a face. Springs? Maybe there was something wrong with his. It seemed to be a thin pad of material over top metal springs, and he couldn't see how that would be suitable for sleeping, or any kind of plant production.

He shook his head, and turned around to face his roommate again, as he explained about spare bags. How many was he supposed to have? He had seen people at the airport with ungodly amounts of luggage, but figured them to be high maintenance. Surely he didn't give off that air? He gently pushed the half-full duffel bag with his foot, and shook his head. "Nope. That's all of it. My books are being delivered, but that's not for another day or two." After making that clear, and hopefully letting the other know that he was in no way high maintenance or prissy, he shut up, letting him run through his "more complicated than a name issue" issue.

"Oh, that makes sense. Why would that sound insane? There's a few people back home like that. Always very interesting persons to converse with. Not so much fun in fights, but I think we have already gotten past that between the two-- three?-- Of us for now. Maybe. I don't know, obviously, if your twin wants to fight me. I certainly hope not. I'm much too tired to convince another person." The male, Aquios, he could now call him, sat on his "bed," but Leo stayed standing. He didn't quite trust it, and was still convinced it was broken.

Faintly, he heard a ringing. It was low, but annoying. Repetative. He looked aorund for the source, before realizing what it was. He rolled his eyes, knelt down beside his bag, and began pulling things out of it. He set a laptop to the side, that had the same symbol on it as on his bag. It had been his "father's." A few shirts, and two pairs of jeans later, and he pulled out a small, black, flip-up cellphone. He stared at the little screen on the outside, before opening the phone itself. Carefully, he held it to his ear. "Hello?" He winced a bit as the person on the other end responded. "Hold on, hold on, this thing is way too loud." He pulled the phone away, and turned it every which way, looking for how to control the volume. "Stupid thing. Don't know why I even need one of these. HOW DO YOU EVEN-- Oh." He found the two little side buttons, marked up and down, respectively. He pushed the down button, a few times, and put the phone back up to his ear. "Alright, now what?" He listened, putting his belongings back into his bag. "Mhmm. Right. Uh-huh. Well, yeah, I'm in my dorm. Yeah, the flight was fine." He stopped, letting the person talk. But it was obvious after a moment that he was getting aggravated. "No. No. I don't care.... NO! I'm hanging up now. Yeah, I am. Goodbye." he finished, pulling the phone away, and closing it. "I hope that's how you hang up... I'd look pretty stupid if it was still going..." he mumbled, glaring at the device in his hand.

He would be lying if he said he wasn't relieved to know that he wasn't the only one who despised flying, but he also wouldn't say it made him feel any closer to the other male. Though judging by the excitement in the others voice it seemed he obviously felt it might. He wouldn't crush that in him, not unless he felt the other was trying to get a bit too close for his comfort, but that didn't change the fact that he wanted to make it clear he didn't think of him as a friend in any small way. "Your handler?" He mumbled to himself, tilting his head a bit as he looked him over curiously. So either he was actually some spoiled rich kid who was coddled for most of his life, or...it could be something else. However, he wasn't sure what to think. On one hand, he looked to be a sort of pretty boy rich kid, on the other, the way he reacted to things, spoke about his earlier words being a call for a fight where he came from, and then how he brought up having the dna of a hawk instead of just mentioning he could change into a hawk or something so he could fly on his own made him wonder.

'There is also the symbol he wears. It looks familiar, does it not? I still am unable to place it however, but then again being in the mind alone does not offer much of an easy view of it.' He heard his brother say, his voice, thankfully, quieter than it was before. Aquios made no comment on the matter, instead choosing to carefully push off his shoes so he could slip further back on his bed, in order to lean back against the wall it sat against. 'Guess I'd be lying if I said I'm not at least, a little, curious about him. Not enough to honestly want to connect with him, but I am curious. Suppose he's lucked out a bit there.' He thought to himself, blinking at the males next words.

"Huh? Oh, no, I wasn't talking about you. As far as I can tell, you were far from yelling. It was Pharos, he got a bit loud, and being tired as I am, he came close to giving me a headache. He's been nagging at me from the moment we decided to come here." He shrugged and then paused as the other had turned towards the bed, seemingly eyeing it as though he didn't trust it. That was another thing to tick off in his mind as curious. It had taken him a while to adjust to having a proper bed when they'd first gotten out of their facility as well. It seemed they had a few more things in common than he thought, and it made him feel uncomfortable. He was about to snap at him, in order to attempt to push the small connections he was starting to find between them away, but then he heard his response to his comment on knowing what a bed was used for, and his frustrations slipped away, and he brought a hand up to cover his mouth as he tried, and failed, to stop himself from laughing.

『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart ☬』

"W...w..what?"He just barely managed to get out through his laughter, the sound almost light, surprisingly despite the fact that it didn't have any real warmth in it. He knew he couldn't really be too cruel about the whole misunderstanding about what the bed was for but still, he couldn't help but laugh. Of course he was also well aware that it might upset the other and in turn upset his twin, but this wasn't something he could stop himself on. No matter how hard he might try.

"Plant things? You don't plant things on a bed Leo, at least not that kind of bed!" He managed, trying to force his laughter down, all the while failing to notice that what was left of his own tension had eased away with his laughter. He supposed the answer had caught him off guard, and had kept him from holding back the response he'd shown, and he figured it should bother him, but he, at the moment, couldn't manage to suppress any of it. When he finally manage to calm down a bit, he coughed, once, quietly, as though possibly trying to draw the attention from his outburst, before he decided to respond again. "Okay, okay, sorry....sorry..Um, look, the type of bed that one is, is for sleeping, or in some cases, just resting on in general. Whether it be the way i am, sitting on it, or laying down or what not. The type of bed you plant things in, is a flower bed, or garden in general. That, I am sure you understand at least. And if not, I'm sure this school has some gardens you can see."

He hardly even realized that the grin that had formed while he'd been laughing had remained, although due to his suppression of his laughter, it had softened quite a bit, somewhere between a grin and a smile, lighter than anything he'd shown since they had first started talking. Of course there was no real emotions in his eyes, other than a flicker of amusement, but it didn't change the fact that the smile was actually there. There was no way to hide it. It was probably also pretty clear by that point that he wasn't usually the sort to smile like that often if really ever at all. At the mention of the bags, he blinked and the smile faltered a bit though not completely, and he glanced down to look at the bag the male bumped with his foot.

"I see. I guess that answers a few questions I had in my mind. I have two or three bags, mostly because of there being two of us in here." He said, tapping a finger lightly against his head before glancing to the bag he had carried in himself. It was actually the one filled with a few of the books they needed for their classes, and a few of the supplies needed for their art class. The rest of their books were in another bag, and their clothes in the last one. his on the left of it, Pharos on the right. The third bag was the biggest, though not by too much."I won't say I'm not surprised that you weren't shocked by the information I'd given you, but I suppose having someone accept it so easily, rather than having them look at me and my twin like we are freaks of some kind makes it easier on me. I don't have to pick a fight over it. I may not give a s**t about myself but my brother..?"

He cut off there, his smile slipping away finally, and he turned on his bed to open the bag he had, so he could sort through what they had in there so far. The largest book in the bag being his psychology one. He slid that one from the bag so he could reach the others, which he carefully started pulling from it, as though using that to occupy his mind. While he did so, he listened to the conversation the other was having with whoever was on the phone, unable to suppress the small laugh that managed to escape him again as the other struggled to find the volume, and then proceeded to snap at and hang up on the person he was talking to. He flicked his gaze over to the other to see how he'd hung up on him, to see he'd managed just fine, before he shook his head, laughing, this time sounding a bit more like he was actually tired.

"I take it someone isn't happy that you've fled the nest? Also, you hung up the phone just fine."

He was relieved to hear that he had not been the reason for the other’s aggravation. He still wasn’t completely sure that they would get along, but he would definitely prefer things not be hostile between them. It wasn’t like he had never shared a room with anyone; his parents had actually made him bunk with other patients until he was sixteen. But sleeping next to a fellow prisoner at night after a long day of experiments and training was not the same as cohabitating with another person, like this would be.

”Ah. I can see where that would be troublesome, yeah.” he mumbled, not really paying much attention, as he examined the bed some more. That was, until he heard the other laugh. He knew, then, that he had said something wrong, and he felt something twist in his chest. He was doing a terrible job at this. No one would ever believe he was a normal college kid, unless he never spoke. And even then, he might not be successful. At least he wasn’t blushing. The lion pride in him would never allow it.

”Yeah, well… I guess the social stuff isn’t the only thing I’m a bit new at.” he said, shrugging his shoulders, a small smile crossing his own lips. He realized, in that moment, that the tension had broken. It was nice, until the phone call.
It left him twitching. Again. He despised that reaction in himself, but he supposed it was better than going ape s**t, and destroying something. He had to remember that these walls were not like the ones in his cell at home. They were regular, every day materials, and he would probably destroy them, if he let loose. He tossed the phone across the room, hearing it thunk against the wall. He hoped it wasn’t broken, as it would only cause more problems for him if he didn’t have it. Just because he was technically in control of the facility now, did not mean he had much power over it, especially being this far away from it. At any point they could fly down here, and activate the computer chips under his flesh to temporarily paralyze him. Then, they could drag him back, throw him in a cell, and continue as if he had never gotten free of those chains. He had to stay humble to these facts, at least until he found someone with enough medical experience to remove the chips. Someone he could trust, which would be the hardest part.

”No, they’re upset I left my tracker, so they’re mailing it to me. I don’t need it, and they don’t need to know-“ he stopped, and took a deep breath. The other wouldn’t know what a tracker was, and if he explained it’s purpose, it wouldn’t only cement him as a freak. Normal college kids didn’t link up to computer servers to track their activity levels, heart rate, sleep patterns, and gods only knew what other physical attributes. He was sure he could be rid of it, but if they really insisted, he might not be able to get out of it. Especially if he kept hanging up the phone, instead of arguing his case.

”Anyways, forget it. Sorry, they just… really upset me, sometimes. Most of the time. Okay, pretty much every time I think of them even existing, it pisses me off.” He laughed a bit, the sound mostly breath, and not holding more than a smear of amusement.

”So, now that you know how little I actually know about this dorm s**t, do you think you could explain this bed to me? How do you actually manage to sleep on it? I mean… How do you not fall off? And I am almost sure there are metal springs under that fluffy part. How could that possibly be comfortable?”

"I don't have to "try" and understand anything you or anyone else has to say."

Aquios stopped what he was doing when he felt the tension in the room rise again, and he turned his gaze back to the other, wondering what could have caused him to seem upset. Not like it really concerned him, he was just more curious than anything. He'd barely been looking at him for a minute when the other suddenly whipped his phone across the room. His gaze followed, and settled on it when it fell onto the bed beside him, having just barely missed his head. He didn't become hostile about it though, and instead just lifted his gaze to the wall to see what sort of damage the other might have done. The paint was chipped a bit and it looked as though a corner of the phone had dug slightly into the wall itself but otherwise there wasn't too much of a problem. Next, he reached down and carefully picked up the phone to examine it, all the while watching Leo from the corner of his eyes.

After a few moments of carefully looking the phone over to make sure it wasn't damaged, he slowly stood from the bed, and turned back to the other. He'd not been ignoring him, he'd been listening, he'd just chosen to not make any comments on the things he'd said.

"I see, so the people from the place you came from still feel like you need to be watched, I'm guessing. Too paranoid about you being away without the knowledge of every little thing you're doing. Sounds like a bunch of nosy and overly paranoid people to me."He said, watching the other again, no traces of the smile from before on his face at all, his eyes cold again, though he at least wasn't back to being tense. Yes he could see that Leo was most obviously back to being a bit on the jumpy side, he knew he should probably be a little more careful about what he did from that point and what he said, but he hadn't gone back to being tense himself.

'Just, you should still be careful. I know you may not feel threatened, but with him the way he is now, and if he was talking about what I think he was, then you never know how he may react if you upset him..' He heard his brother say into his mind, and knew Pharos was right in some ways. He was also wrong though in others. 'Just remember brother, that he isn't you, just because the slight misstep here might have set you off, it might not for him. But, if you want me to be careful, then once again, I'll say that I'll try, but in no way will i make a promise to you.' He sighed, both outwardly and mentally as he flipped the phone in his hand, watching it, before he started towards Leo.

"Look, you should probably not toss your phone at the wall, just because you may not have hit it yourself doesn't mean it won't carry some of your strength with it, and also, you should watch where you're throwing it next time, as had i not moved the tiny hair i had, it could have hit me. Not picking a fight over it, but you should really watch what you're doing a bit. You're phone is fine though." He said as he stopped near Leo and held the phone out to him. His gaze flicked to the bed when he was asked to explain it, and he chuckled.

『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart ☬』

"I don't get phone calls like that, though, mostly because there is no one left that could contact me in any way similar. So I can't say I can understand that. Though there are people i can think about that may effect me in some way similar, even if not as much as it seems to effect you."He shrugged and looked back to him.

"As for the bed, most of the time sleeping on the side that's against the wall can help any worry of possibly falling off. So long as you stay there when you sleep you should be fine. It can also help you adjust to sleeping on one." He said, looking back over his shoulder at his own bed. He'd grown a little more used to sleeping on one over the few years they'd had away from the facility, but even still, he knows his brother still couldn't stand to sleep anywhere but against the wall, while he himself didn't much care which way he did. That was understandable however. To...some extent anyways."As for the springs, I never really understood them either, but in some cases the beds somehow do manage to be comfortable despite it being seemingly impossible. Just give it a try, if it's uncomfortable then..I guess we'll just have to sort that out ourselves at some point."

He slid his hands into his pockets and yawned, flashing his fangs a bit as he did, though not necessarily intentionally. Of course there were some things he'd left out of when he'd explained a bed, but he felt it wasn't necessary to add them on and make the situation awkward. Of course, it probably wouldn't be awkward for him but for the other? Yeah. Though on second thought seeing his reaction probably would have been amusing...However he could feel his twins disapproval weighing heavy in his mind, and he couldn't help the small laugh that escaped him.

"Don't worry brother dear, I'm not going to say anything, calm yourself. Anyways, Leo, there is something i should at least warn you about. I wouldn't try to shake me or my brother when we are sleeping. Things could end either painfully for you, or...badly...in general. At least it usually ends up badly. It could always end up a little more awkwardly for you than anything though." He said chuckling, his brother cursing at him in his mind..

Leo caught movement out of the corner of his eye, and saw Aquios getting off the bed. He wasn’t going to lie, and say it didn’t make him nervous. When he was already twitching, and could feel his hackles rising, he didn’t like people being in his personal space. But this would be something he had to get used to.

’I wonder if they have a weight room here… Or a pool. I probably should have checked that before I came here. I suppose I can always just take a run to calm down.’

He thought to himself, taking another few deep breaths. He was already so tired; it was becoming hard to function properly. He hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday, either. His handler had insisted that he would get sick if he ate before getting on the plane, and nothing they had on the plane had looked particularly appetizing. And now, he had to try and get comfortable while worrying about falling off a bed, or getting stabbed by metal springs.

When it registered that Aquios had started speaking, he pushed his thoughts away, and listened. At the male’s comment, harsh bark of laughter escaped him. ”Yeah, that’s pretty accurate, actually. Paranoid. Not that I’ve given them a lot of reasons not to be, but still.” ’Mainly because I haven’t ever been given the chance…’ He thought, feeling the hostility bristle through him again. But then he caught the other moving towards him, and braced himself. It was probably a noticeable motion, but there wasn’t much he could do about that. Instinct told him to be wary of anybody approaching him, especially someone he didn’t know.

But then he started talking about his phone, and how it had almost hit him. He felt bad, because he hadn’t even realized it. He was also surprised that the other was warning him about the walls, and how even throwing things could damage them. He knew that it was a school for non-humans, but was his strength that obvious? ’Of course it is, idiot. You exude it. How many times have you been told that? You were raised to be a weapon of mass destruction. And even if people don’t know that, their own instincts can sense the danger.’ he almost flinched at the harshness of his own thoughts. For a moment, it had sounded as though his Father was speaking, instead of his conscious.

”Sorry. Really, I am. I didn’t even think about it, which was careless. I just wanted the stupid thing away from me, I wasn’t trying to aim for anything in particular. I’ll be more aware of my surroundings next time. And thanks.” he said, reaching to take the phone from him, although he could still feel his body tensing. The male showed no hint of aggression, no signs at all of wanting to attack him, but he didn’t necessarily show much of anything else, either. And for once, all of his instincts were working together, and screaming at him not to trust this male so easily.

He listened carefully as Aquios moved on to explain the bed. He still wasn’t sure about it, but he could at least try it. Although another surprise came at the ‘we’ part of the statement. He was pretty sure Aquios was not the helping sort, and found it odd that he had included himself in the figuring out of alternatives should he have an issue with the bed. He carefully put the phone in his pocket, and looked over at the furniture in question. He made a face, but shrugged. ”I’ll have to take your word, I guess, and at least try. Not like falling off it would really hurt me or anything. Probably just scare the s**t out of me.”

He stepped towards the bed, and put a hand down on it again, pushing down as far as he trusted. He wondered if it would support his weight. Not that he was really that heavy, but he wasn’t exactly light, either. Carefully, he sat on the edge, and looked back at Aquios. ”I won’t shake you if you don’t shake me. I don’t like touching people when they’re sleeping anyways. Their subconscious is in control at that point, and no matter how well you think you know someone, you never truly know what their subconscious is like. It’s too risky.”

The male was tense. He could see that without having to really look all that close. He caught what looked like him bracing himself even, as though expecting him to attack even if he'd shown no signs of wanting to. Seeing all of this...It was amusing, and it only served to make not messing with him that much more difficult. However, he kept his expression blank, eyes cold, and posture as nonthreatening as he could. Not like he could ever look completely nonthreatening of course, but he could try to look as relaxed as he could allow himself to be at that moment. This time it wasn't so much for the sake of keeping himself from getting into a fight for his brother, as it was simply because he didn't feel like triggering any form of real aggression at that particular moment.

Of course that didn't mean it would stay that way. Especially not when he saw the way he looked at him and how he took the phone he'd held out to him. It brought about the slightest twitch of the corners of his lips, as he attempted to suppress a grin. His eyes narrowed just slightly, though not out of hostility, and a just barely there trace of amusement slipped through his icy gaze, this time doing nothing to ease the cold look he'd had before.

"Ah, there's no need to apologize, so long as you watch what you're doing next time. I can't promise this lack of a violent reaction will make it through to another near miss or a hit. I'm not the kind of person to usually give second chances, ya know? Though I'm pretty sure you've probably already guessed that much." He said, a small, sharp laugh escaping him as he shifted a bit on his feet. It was nearly impossible at that point to contain himself, but he was trying, something he usually only half assed any time he was forced to by his brother. In this case he had to seriously try, and control was not his strong suit. Not by a long shot. That was more of his brothers thing, when he wasn't pushed to his breaking point that is. 'Well at least I won't have to deal with that so easily in this case. At least I certainly hope I won't. If he can manage to push my brother to that point then we are going to have even bigger issues with each other than we already do, and will no doubt have in the future.'

He turned his gaze away from him suddenly, as though uncomfortable suddenly, although that wasn't really the case at all. He took a moment, standing silently, as though thinking about something, before he laughed a bit, the sound cold, rather than light like it had been earlier.

"I see. So you don't really fight them on it huh? Do you often avoid all forms of conflict with others? Not that I am expecting an answer to that of course." He said, a smirk slipping into place on his face for a moment while he was facing away from the other. As much as he would have loved to have messed with him further on that and actually make it sound a bit more like he was accusing him of being afraid to fight back against the people who seemed to want to keep him shackled, he had a feeling that would be pushing it, and that he shouldn't go down that path. While he had no reason to believe the guy didn't have the strength to fight him or those holding him back, he also knew that sometimes strength hardly mattered in certain situations.

『☬ Beware The Beast With A Frozen Soul, That Cradles The Burning Heart ☬』

"Of course, I'm not accusing you of being a coward, nor am I saying you're weak, I don't really know you, I can't make that sort of judgement, especially when I haven't seen you fight or anything like that as of yet. Also, once again, not looking for a fight. So if this subject is a sore one, best you just veer from it instead of really responding if it's just going to piss you off further than you already are."His voice held no traces of the smirk he'd had on his face, and as he turned his gaze back to him, it had turned into a slight grin, no emotion behind it at all.

"Anyways, I'm sure you'll do fine with the whole bed issue, and unless you somehow manage to rip your mattress up I don't think springs stabbing into you will be much of an issue. These seem new to me honestly. I mean, if it ends up that beds are just not your thing after all, then I guess you'll just have to find a way to sleep that feels more comfortable or familiar or whatever to you." He waved his hand in the air dismissively at the thought, and turned to move back towards his bed so he could finish taking his books and such out of the bag he had sitting on it. Reaching down he placed the tips of his fingers on the Psychology book he'd pulled out before, and stared down at it as he heard the other mention not knowing a persons subconscious mind. How true that was. He slid his fingers beneath the large book, and lifted it from his bed, before moving to place it on the side of the desk. "Glad to know you can understand that. And you don't want to know what my subconscious mind is like, to be honest. I don't think you'd find me to be all that fun in a situation where you'd have to face it unfortunately for you."

He glanced back over his shoulder slightly, a cold, dark look in his eyes, an odd little grin on his face. The look was gone just as quickly as it had shown itself however, and he turned to move back to his bed again, this time picking up the sociology and communication studies book. One came in two parts, the other book in another bag, so it was smaller than the others, and that was the communication studies book, while the sociology book was somewhere between it's size and the psychology book. He moved to place them atop the other then stopped, seeming to suddenly lose interest in the task. Instead he seemed to simply just stand there and stare down at the books, a blank look in his eyes. When he spoke again he seemed to sound even more exhausted than he had during the whole conversation.

"Also, I guess I should say that I'm not going to shake you if you're asleep either. Not unless it's absolutely necessary, which honestly I doubt I'll ever find a reason for it to be. So yo don't need to worry about that. Unless I feel like being an a**, and in that case I'll probably deserve what I get for it. But since you agreed to respect my wishes and my warning I'll do the best I can to hold my a*****e of a self back in that sort of situation." He said, letting out a sudden sharp laugh. However his voice held no traces of a lie in it, and he meant to keep his word to the best of his ability. Mostly for the sake of keeping the other from approaching Pharos while the male was unconscious at any point. Who knew just how badly he might react. Especially when they were in a place neither of them knew.

He could really feel the exhaustion now. It went down to his bones, and he had to force down a yawn. But now that he was on edge, he didn’t think he would be able to rest. Especially not with this guy in the room.

’I knew the moment I saw him, that he was dangerous, but the more time I spend around him, the more uneasy I get. I feel like I’m back at the facility, walking on eggshells around one of the mental patients.’

It hit him, at that moment, why he was trying so desperately to find a connection to the male, and why he was even more dangerous than he had originally thought possible. Because Aquios reminded him of home, and he would try to keep that feeling in this new world of unknowns, he would open himself to all kinds of vulnerabilities. It was like assuming the way a fight would go when the opponent is your friend. Just because you like them, doesn’t mean they won’t beat you down like a rabid dog.

He looked down, staring at the floor with empty eyes. He could hear the male talking, but didn’t really have it in him to respond at the moment. He wasn’t sure what to do. If he couldn’t connect with people, then he wouldn’t get any relief from the constant stress that he was already under. The whole point of getting out into the world was seeing everything he had missed. Seeing with his own eyes what he had read in those books for years. To feel like he was more than an animal. He wanted to connect with the small shred of humanity he had left inside of him.

”I already told you I would watch my surroundings, there is no need to remind me again. I don’t have a problem with confrontation, and have fought them many times. Every time I get the chance, in fact. But there is this wonderful little thing called blackmail. They have my weakness, and until I can get rid of it, there isn’t much I can do. Anybody’s subconscious has the ability to be scary. My mother was almost completely human, and waking her from sleep is, to this day, the root of my worst nightmare. I have no intention of meeting yours, your brother’s, or anyone else’s in this school. Thank you for returning the favor.” He responded to all the comments at once, jumbling them together in his speech just as they were jumbled together in his mind. His voice was dull, and his eyes never left the floor.

Was this really how things had to be? Or was his exhaustion just making things seem more dire? Maybe his instincts were clashing again, and had put him on high alert over something small? That had happened plenty of times before. He looked up at Aquios once more, and confirmed it. His instincts were not clashing. They were all in agreement. The male in front of him was dangerous. A threat, even when he wasn’t threatening. And they all wanted to stay away from him. Except the lion. The lion wanted to face him head on, and show him that he was a threat, too.

But he was too tired right now. His eyes, now swirling with tendrils of pale blue, felt like they would shut on their own at any moment. His body trembled slightly, but he couldn’t tell if that was from exhaustion or the leftover hostility. His mind was a trainwreck, and judging by the proverbial sirens in the distance, he wouldn’t be allowed to rest any time soon.

”Now, I’m going to find a way to get my mind to shut off, so I can get some rest.” he mumbled, and pulled the school papers over to him, looking at the map to determine what his options were.
