Money Down Mercenaries

This happens to be the first RP I have started on Gaia. I have done others, and been a large contributer to a couple of chain novels. At this time I decided that I have enough free time to commit to a new one. Hopefully it will be longlasting and successful.

This is a role play that centers around the workings of an assassin's guild. More or less a group of people that are paid top dollar to kill.

I will be assigning the missions that will be done by the group. This is a modern day RP. I will be the person behind the scenes, the one that gives the missions.

None of you are veterans. You are new recruits that have been chosen from the select few that qualify. You might have a prestigious role of entering this guild, but you are still the green horns of the place.

NPCs will be able to pull rank on occasion for story purposes. If you run into an NPC, I will post the profile.

The building is immense, a skyscraper reaching upwards of three-hundred floors. They all had the same information, and that was to get off the elevator on floor one-hundred fifty five. As they all enter the elevator and converse, they are accompanied by another. A cold air is about him, as he stares blankly into the elevator buttons. A secretary dressed in scarlet, greets them all with a smile, the name Clair is embossed in gold on her desk.

Clair rises as the fresh initiates enter through the elevator doors. They are followed closely by one of the best the organization has to offer, Stone Rook. She smiles past the trio towards him as she brushes some of her vibrant blonde hair from her face, fixing it again behind her ear. Like every other time, he doesn't notice her. He blankly stairs at the TV screen, listing a few different jobs, then as always he heads towards the locker room.

Straightening her composure, and her red business blazer and skirt, he purses her lips as she puts down the first evelope onto the table. Only one envelope and three rookies, who would claim the first job.

(First come first serve, I will be posting the mission specs after someone posts that they have picked it up. If you all post you are picking it up, the first of the three gets it, and the other two must delete their posts, and repost something else)

December, the only female out of the three, stepped forward and picked up the envelope, glancing at the woman, Clair, without a smile before turning her attention to the envelope in her hand. The first job, her future with this 'establishment' rested on how well she accomplished this, and she planned to do it as perfectly as possible. She was dressed in a black tank top, pair of jeans, leather jacket, and army boots, all but her trademark look when she had anything to do with it. Her short hair had been pulled back into a tight ponytail, and, like usual, she hadn't worn makeup.

But she wasn't thinking about her appearance as she stared down at the envelope in her hand, instead she was thinking about the job, and the people around her, a lot of things rested on what was inside the envelope she held, so perhaps it was time she opened it. Turning it over, she paused for only a moment before ripping it open, and taking out the contents.

|| I hadn't expected it to still be open, since I couldn't post last night after you first posted it. Guess I'm in luck. xD ||

((I thought about posting, but decided not to. Happy days, hm?))

Nikolai stepped out of the elevator just after the girl and leaned against the wall just outside. She grabbed it, so she got the job. Assassins rarely had teams. In fact, multiple people meant multiple facets. Multiple facets meant more chances for someone to screw up. Hence, the obvious reason why 99.9% (that decimal repeating of course, for quite some time) of assassins worked alone.

McClellan folded his arms over his chest and scanned the room curiously. Photographic memory, and just having a strong memory in general were two definitive features he carried silently.

As the evelope opened, and December watched her near and far future unfold into her hands. It was a very nice piece of paper, expensive but easily attainable. She reads the page, which is filled with mission specs.

Target: Anthony Marcuso

Congradulations Green Horn, you have recieved your first mission. This is not going to be a practice, this is a real mission, and should be dealt with accordingly. Failure is not an option.

Sitting in a chair pushed back on two legs, Matthew allowed his arms to drop lazilly to either side of his body, trailing along the tails of his lengthy trenchcoat. Completely silent and nonchalant, the man kept his gaze angled upwards towards the roof, not particularly interested in the envelopes. "I don't suppose we're going to be recieving any backround on this guy?" He breathed quietly, not budging from his spot to look at the mission specs.

Grand theft auto? A snitch? Maybe theft of a local heirloom? Or maybe he just looked at the boss too closely... I'll never figure out why he sends us after these people... Slowly placing the chair back onto all fours, he rose to his feet, hands sliding into his pockets as he headed towards the elevator, not waiting for an answer.

Mission Report:

Codename: Stone Rook

I hate anything along the equator, you know that don't you. Well, South Vietnam wasn't a joyous visit. You probably meant for it to be that way. I should have probably have loved it, coming from a colder climate...

The plane ride was s**t, I had an annoiance, but it was settled. Sharlet was easy to get through customs, as always. I will skip the preparation days, they seem unessisary.

The building was a hexagon, an annoying shape because there are not enough buildings that will give me a sufficient view...

(I'll finish soon)

Staring down at the paper in her hands, she nodded, folded it, slipped it back in the envelope, and tucked the envelope into an interior pocket of her jacket. As she walked towards the elevator she ignored the people around her, including the man heading the same way as her, instead she was thinking about the job, exactly what needed to be done, how much time it would take, and what she needed to get it done with. When the elevator stopped, and the doors slid open, she stepped out ahead of the other man, not even glancing at him as she left the building and slid into her black Lamborghini.

A few blocks away she squealed into her parking space, outside of her apartment building, locking the door to her car as she jogged up the steps to her top floor apartment. After securing the locks on both her door and windows, she sat down at her laptop computer, quickly logging on through the multiple security codes to get to the encrypted files she needed to transfer the information onto.

For a while after the fact she simply sat there, staring at the details now freshly encrypted to her computer, forming a plan in her mind, mentally going over details, over and over again till she was sure she knew what she wanted, and needed to do. But of course, she still had a lot to get together, and not a lot of time to do it in. Getting up, she headed into her bedroom, it was time to get ready.

"Go team." Matthew laughed sardonically, pulling his gloves tighter against his palms as he walked out of the building. His bike wasn't hard to notice, parked across the sidewalk outside. The black Racer stood out with a calm appeal. The bike had been developed for street racing, but now comfortably housed a couple upgrades.

Namely, a dual gas tank with an auxilliary solar/electric battery cell built into the small interior of the bike's engine, giving it stamina to go along with the large amount of horsepower housed in the polished titanium frame.

Pulling his laptop out of the panel beneath the seat, he flicked it open, his fingertips flying out across the keyboard as he pulled up a map of the city and surrounding estates. Zooming out until he could see every building project, he rested back against the motorcycle, resting his elbow in his palm and his index finger against his lips. Alright... if he or she's new here, they'll most likely be in one of the newer estate or high-star buildings. I'm imagining that they will also have guards posted if they're the type for the boss to go after...

With fingers that moved far too fast, he quickly narrowed down the list of buildings, leaving only seven of the latest installments going up across town. Guards will imply something large, yet not suspiciously so... Tap, tap, tap; three more buildings left the list.

"Eenie..." He breathed, disecting each of the buildings with his eyes, "Meenie," the building in the center of the three dropped off the list with the press of a single button, "Minie..." with a dark smile now spreading across his lips, he centered the satellite camera image upon a building that had yet to be completed, still bearing a few scaffolds. "Gotcha..."

Pulling his helmet on, he flicked off the laptop, sliding it back under the bike's panel. It was time for a little recon.

Crouching on the roof of a building across from the Steel Dragon, December studied the building and the occupants she could see, that inhabited it. A duffel bag was at her side, and she smirked as she watched the one of the hookers, leave and enter the building ten minutes or so later, it was a routine thing, they often left, and came back with a bag full of something or another, she kept track of all of that, but what she was focused on at the moment was how they'd dressed. She'd watched them for a few moments earlier, before heading to the nearest store and buying the sleaziest thing she'd ever laid eyes on, but it was almost identical to one of the hookers in his hotel, the one she would be filling in for, and she was confident in the fact that no one would notice the change.

Grabbing her stuff, and crouching down, behind the small building which housed the stairs back down to the rest of the place, she quickly changed into the mini skirt, and tight halter top she'd bought, sliding on her heels a moment later. The shoes were custom made for her, by a reliable friend, and in the heel was a near invisible knife, no one would think twice about her shoes, even if they did bother to check her, which she didn't think they would, since she planned on looking just like the blonde bimbo who was sure to be leaving in a few minutes.

After applying heavy makeup, and pulling on a blonde wig which she'd trimmed and styled earlier on the roof, she left the building, taking her duffel bag with her and throwing it in her car parked on the other side of the street, taking some back alleys, she ended up near the store that the hookers always went to, and waited. She could only imagine that they had contacts there that they were checking in with, and bringing back booze while they were there.

Ten or so minutes later the blonde came down the alley, swaying sleazily as she walked, even though there was no one in sight. Slipping out of her hiding place December came up behind the hooker, slipping her arm around her neck, and accidentally knocking into the earring she hadn't seen, giving the blonde woman a split seconds warning which she took advantage of, kicking backwards with her heel, unfortunately for her, her attacker wasn't male, though getting kicked, even backwards, with three inch heels sure hurt like hell, it didn't stop her from quickly slitting the woman's throat.

After she had stopped thrashing, and December had regained the feeling in her legs, she quickly removed her earrings and put them in her own ears, as well as picking up the brown paper bag, which, though it had dropped, luckily hadn't broken anything inside, why she wasn't sure, until she peered inside and saw it was only a carton of cigarette's and a box of condoms, well, she was in luck then, smiling grimly, she dragged the woman into a dumpster, carefully before she headed back to the hotel, hips swaying in the same suggestive way that the woman's had minutes before. Showtime.

Bumping into a new-looking woman in the dress of a lady of the night like herself, the tiny woman gave a squeak. "Oh, I'm sorry..." She gasped, on the brink of tears, "I-I... I don't know where Mr. Marcuso's room i-is..." Shuddering slightly, the woman wrapped her arms around her elbows as though cold, shifting her gaze left and right down the hall like a lost puppy.
