Quote: Time: Night Time Weather: Slight snow fall, a bit chilly! Location: Winter Solstice Celebration in the Isle Center
Prompt:
Quote: During the Winter Solstice Celebration, you can hear the chanting and music of the different ulaya that have come to greet the coming of the lights. This is when the trees are decorated in tons of colors and fireflies are taught to shine them at a specific time and specific ways to provide entertainment. Ulaya are encouraged to dance under them and it supposedly gives good luck for the year! Your characters have seemed to find their way in the midst of celebration! With some giggles and not so fair warning- It seems everyone was given a number during the event and have been mystically paired up to be each others dance partners! [ Numbers: 42 and 28! Talia and Izuchi !! ]

 Talia's eyes gleamed as she took in the sight of the dazzling lights and decorations. She had never in her life encountered so many other ulaya and so much beauty all in one place.
"Oh, I'm so glad I heard about this on time this year!" she said aloud not really caring who heard her. It was a general party after all and it might even start a conversation.
Her love of artistry had her wandering with a sense of wonder and she soon found herself in a very central spot, "Your number is 42," a voice whispered in her ear. Whoever said it vanished into the crowd before Talia could even begin to ask what they were talking about. It soon became clear as it seemed all those in the center of the dancing area had numbers and were randomly being paired off. "Oh dear, how exciting." Then her number was called and she approached the center of the nervously giggling mass of ulaya to await her mystery partner...
Of The Epidemic let me know if you'd like me to limit the use of her text color. I know it can be one of those weird shades for some.

Tygress Dream Oh no it's good darlin'! Thank you for asking though! 
Izuchi had never been one to mingle well, at least not in the normal sense. He was much too formal and stiff a lot of the time which left people at a loss for how to handle him. Why he had been prodded into attending this; why he had let himself be drug here he would never know. Perhaps it was just that Perseus was hard to say no to. Or maybe it was that Izuchi wanted to spend time with people, maybe he was lonely, he couldn't really tell if truth be told. If there was one thing he was aware of it was that this event was a grand sort of deal.
He wandered the area with awe, he had never seen such a large gathering in all his years on this planet. Perhaps that was because he had never attended a winter festival before. The little prince shook his head as he glanced around himself shocked when someone approached him and smiled brightly as if they knew each other.
"You're number is going to be 28 lovely! Don't forget it okay?" The female stated before vanishing back into the crowd.
The suddenness of the experience left Izuchi confused but he didn't really question it for the time being. It was then that his number was called causing his ears to flick forward slightly. He tilted his head as he moved with an almost flowing grace onto the floor. Izuchi tilted his head as he approached a peach colored female with flowers on her pelt.
"Pardon me, Miss, but do you happen to know who number 42 is, and maybe what is going on exactly?" He asked a polite smile on his features.

Of The Epidemic hope you don't mind me taking some of the npc stuff going on, figure they'd need some music and a bit of instruction on how to proceed
She looked around them as the remaining ulaya around them were paired off resulting in various levels of excited and nervous greetings. "I haven't really danced with a partner before but it should be great fun!" Her smile turned a little unsure but she was certainly game to join in all the festivities, and her excitement only was increasing with the elegant male before her.
"Oh my name is Talia," she belated introduced herself.
Those that seemed to be running the dancing finally called for attention. Several were perched on a rise, a couple of experienced dancers along with musicians some with drums others with bells. Suddenly with a roll of the drums the music began as did the dancers telling the crowd, "These are the traditional motions, join as you find the rhythm and feel free to improvise!"

Izuchi gave a soft smile and inclined his head. Dancing, now that was something he was at least aware of how to do and fairly well if he did say so himself. His polite smile took a reassuring turn as she spoke about having never really danced with a partner before. It could be a touch different from dancing alone but all in all it wasn’t such a huge change.
With a small flourishing bow he introduced himself, careful to speak only after they had been instructed. “I’m Izuchi and it is a pleasure to meet you Talia.” He stated quietly, speaking to just her. “Dancing with a partner isn’t terribly difficult so I am sure you will do just fine, but if you need help or feel uncomfortable let me know and we can stop.” Izuchi’s tone was gentle and coaxing as he began moving gently around her. His motions were careful and slow, giving her plenty of time to get used to what was going on.
After all this was all a bit shocking and he could understand that she likely needed a moment to collect herself. “Are you enjoying the events Miss Talia?” He asked kindly, his eyes alight with interest. If nothing else he was at least very attentive to his partner and didn’t leave her to flounder on her own.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Izuchi," her smile a little more easy with his experience with dancing and his gentle voice.
After a few glances at the lead dancers and the careful guidance or her partner Talia relaxed, allowing the music to speak to the artist within her. Yes, this wasn't so different from other dancing, you just had to take your partners motions into the pattern of the whole. Yes, there was definite art in this and the way the lights moved through the rainbows of Izuchi's coat were an art all their own.
She was able to look at him now and as if he sensed her comfort level it was just then he asked how she was enjoying things. "Oh, I'd only just wandered in when I ended up here in the dancing circle. Really though it's all so lovely, they've done such a wonderful job. I've never seen so many ulaya in my life let alone all in one place. And you Izuchi, what do you think of all of this?"Of The Epidemic looks like the next post is #7 on the page

The rainbow pelted male inclined his head slightly. He could agree with that sentiment. He couldn't remember the last time he had seen this many Ulaya in one place at one time. Especially not with them all getting along and no fights breaking it.
"It is, my first time here." He stated softly glancing around himself. "I do find it lovely though, it is very extravagant but everyone seems so happy. A little chilly but all the activity keeps one warm. All in all I have found my experience here most wonderful." He said cocking his head to the side slightly as they came to a halt in their dance.
He glanced around himself and then up blinking slightly at the little bundle of greenery above him. "Well, what is that?" He queued at no one in particular as he leaned up slightly to sniff at it. "I've never seen such a curious thing." Izuchi hadn't ever really been taught most normal traditions. So the sight of the mistletoe only brought the poor dear confusion. He couldn't imagine why there would be this plant here, or what it's significance could possibly be.
He sat back down and simply looked at it a little helpless and confused. It didn't help that some of the other's were starting to look at him as well now like they expected him to do something.

Talia closed her eyes and enjoyed the music and motion before returned her gaze to her dance partner. "Yes, it is wonderful to see so many so happy. I'm looking forward to exploring everything more, but this is a lovely way to start the celebration."
Talia struggled not to pout as they came to a stop. She looked quizzically at her dance partner when he looked and then sniffed at something above them. "Oh dear...." she said a blushed painting her peachy cheeks with red. "Have you never encountered mistletoe before, Izuchi?" She wasn't sure if identifying the cluster above them would bring an old memory of the tradition to light, but he did seem genuinely confused by it.
She looked down and shuffled her feet a bit, embarrassed but finally opting to explain, though she couldn't look up as she did .... "It... it's traditional for two that come under the mistletoe to ... to share a kiss...." She looked up a bit of panic in her voice, "It's just... a silly... you don't have to... we can just, umm ... oh dear...." Silly plant, silly tradition. She'd been having such a good time to.... her cheeks blazed with color.

Izuchi glanced at his partner as she seemed to fluster at the sight of the plant. Well this was curious, was it some sort of bad omen then? She seemed to be having a tough time with it that was for sure, this only caused him to tilt his head in confusion and glance at her. At her question however he could only shake his head. He couldn't remember encountering something like this before, though with how flustered she seemed he desperately wished he had. If only to spare her the suffering she seemed to be going through.
Though his eyes lit up as it was explained to him and he nodded. "I see." He spoke softly seemingly unphased by the situation. It was after all a prince's prerogative to always seem in charge of the situation. "Well then." Izuchi said with a small smile before he leaned in and gently kissed her already blazing cheek. "I suppose we shouldn't break tradition no?"
He gave her a warm smile as he gently pressed his head against her shoulder in a form of support and comfort. "I apologize that my lack of understanding for normal customs has caused you distress my lady." Izuchi spoke softly before he pulled back and sat on his haunches. "What can I do to make it up to you?"

Of The Epidemic replying on phone so a little short] Oh so he really hadn't heard of it before, that comforted Talia as did his easy acceptance of her explanation. Her cheeks may even have return to normal if he hadn't flowed up so quickly with a formal but sweet kiss. "Of...of course traditions should be observed," she stammered and returned the gesture with a quick sweet kiss to his cheek. "It's not your fault, but maybe if you don't have other plans. I'd love some company exploring the Celebration. Right now a refreshing beverage would be welcome." Her cheeks and the rest of her were feeling quite warm right then despite the weather.

Tygress Dream No worries darlin! >> Sorry we didn't get done in time for you to use this for the auction! Also sorry it's short! XD I'm kinda unsure where to take it.
"It is such a lovely night, and the snowfall is amazing. I've never gotten to actually go out and play in the snow before. Though I suppose this isn't playing is it?" He mused softly looking over at her as he walked them towards a food stall that had a verity of choices.
"Would you like something to eat as well?" Izuchi asked softly as he smiled at her.
