The Inner Powers are the natural (i.e. inner) counter part to the considred-artificial (i.e. outer) magics.
Unlike magic it is not classed into schools.
It is generally stronger than magic, yet much more uncommon.

Connection to the Body
Unlike magic, connected to the soul, Inner Power is connected to the body.
The Elven/Vampiric art of 'bloodbending' comes from their body, not their soul.
(Elves & Vampires are the same thing)
Likewise it is incredibly difficult to transfer.
However, not impossible.
Spirit Fire directly affects the body's properties, giving it various abilities.
(most are unusable due to the ravaging of the mind, however)

Connection to magic
The Inner & Outer Powers are often confused.
The main difference is if it's not soul-powered, it's probably Inner Power.
Magic and Inner Power cannot normally be used together.
They condtantly push, and fight against eachother, as though nature and magic are in a war.
A noticeable excepion is the Angels of Order.
Their combination of Inner and Outer Power led to many great creations such as Hopeslost, and Raktearan.
However, it ultimately resulted in the loss of half their army, when reliance on relics, like the Angel Lords' spears, led to an unpreperation for battle, upon the power source failing, due to Inner/Outer conflict.
Relics like these require constant care to work properly, as well as a great amount of power, unobtainable by most.
Still working artifacts are considered some of the rarest, and most valuable treasures.

Major Known Inner Powers
Order Magic
It may seem contradictory of itself with 'magic' in the name.
Order magic, however, uses magic and Inner Power.
Its name leans towards magic, its classification Inner Power, to show this.
Mortal over-use turns them to Halfbreed Angels.
A puppet to their superiors.
Spirit Fire
Able to degenerate almost any creatures' mind to a bloodthirsty, frenzying-animal like state.
In fact, it warps the human body to where they look like dogs.
When used properly, can give telekinesis and various other powers.
Bloodbending
Control over your own blood.
Mostly, just the Elves/Vampires.
