Rosewrite had been sitting in his brother’s chocolate shop all morning. Talking to Orchid about what his life has been like this past year. What was great? What wasn’t? Then their biggest regrets… One thing stood out clearly in his mind. Why hadn’t he even tried to ask Spica out. All the signs were there. They were clearly giddy for each other and even Spica’s daughter wanted them together her. The more he thought about it and beat himself up, Rose decided he need to do something. “Hey Orchid, could you whip me up some of your best hot chocolate. I need to visit someone.”
Orchid being the love sappy phony he was, Rose was able to pry him away from his orders long enough to make him a couple cups to-go. Now with drinks in a side saddle, a slowly unraveling scarf given to him by Spica wrapped around him and the cold nipping at his legs Rose was making his way over to Spica. He was going to give her hot chocolate and then ask her out. He was unsure of why it took him so long, but he was finally going to do it. Stepping up to her house he took a long breath before finally knocking at the door. Waiting for her had to be the longest moment in his life.
