I would like to know just when I got so bad at this game.
I am trying for the Hylian Shield, and just, what is going on?
The third Ghirahim fight and the second Imprisoned seem to hurt me the most.

This is one of the things I don't like about Skyward. The 1:1 is more like 1:1-ish.

What about you? How was the boss rush for you?

All I can say is keep at it. The more you try (and fail) the more you'll remember their fight patterns and timing and you'll get through it.
Just be sure to have at least 15 or 16 hearts and replenish in the levels that let you.

I just hate the imprisoned fights. I think 3 is the easiest of them since you just launch yourself onto his bac and unload on the stone pillar of death. Part of me is hoping for a rerelease of it on the wii U so they can take advantage of the HD assets they have in the game... and an ability to use the gamepad/pro controller rather than the wiimote.

To be honest I still haven't actually finished the game yet

Honestly, I've played video games my entire life and I've played all manner of puzzles, adventures, RPG's, strategies, MMO's, and on every freaking platform (pc, console, handheld), and I have NEVER had such a hard time fighting a boss than I did with Demise at the end of SS. I just... I couldn't even! It was pathetic! I could not get that fight right despite attempt after attempt, and honestly I gave up and threw the controller at my husband and had him do it xD. I haven't defeated Demise on my own and a portion of it just pisses me right off, haha. I've not even attempted the Boss Rush because I thought Demise would be in it, even though now I know that's only on Hero Mode. Oh well.

I finally got the shield. biggrin
Then went on to beat the game. OMG Fi's goodbye! gonk gonk gonk
Why Nintendo, Why?!

A Wii U port would be amazing. I wouldn't have to worry about that pumpkin stacking sidequest then. x.x

You do all realise that they would have to rework all of Skyward Sword's combat to Ocarina and Windwaker levels for that to happen, right?
Skyward's main gimmick was the swordplay being more advanced, you kill that by porting it to regular controls.

Ugh... Chain of Termina: Dreamkiller.
A girl can dream, can she not?

I'm just being realistic.
Wanting a standard port is all well and good, but, what fun is the final horde battle if you're not the one physically swinging the sword/Wiimote?

Pick one of your worst battles to do first and try and get it out of the way. I did this with the 2nd Ghirahim battle and actually beat the boss rush way quicker than I expected to. I think you can get hearts in the Koloktos and Scaldera battles also.

I did Imprisoned 3 first just to get it out of the way.
It worked out and I got to face Koloktos last.
That fight is so exhilirating.

I hated half the boss battles in this game! I could definitely tell a difference, though, throughout the game that I found interesting. It seemed to me that the bosses who were pawns of evil were much more complex and difficult than the bosses who just happened to be encountered in the journey... if that makes any sense.

I hated, hated, HATED having to shoot myself at the Imprisoned. I kept overshooting and flying right over his head. I failed that battle six times before I finally beat it.
