➟Takeshi arrived at the door of the Nakashima residence. He didn't really know what to expect, or even if this was really his future home. It could have been possible that it was another family with the same same name, but he couldn't stop himself from being curious. "I don't know about this, what if some disaster strikes and the whole world goes out of balance or something? What if I destroy the whole universe entirely!? Maybe I should just leave..." His hand was balled up in a fist and he was prepared to knock, but he couldn't gather the courage to pound his fist against the door. "N-No! How many chances do I get to do something like this!? I'm going for it!" The boy reluctantly knocked three times, but there was a delayed response. Perhaps no one was home? If Xuza had come then Takeshi would look back at her with a disheartened look on his face.

Xuza did, as luck would have it, come out of curiosity. She wondered why he was snooping around this area, and it would turn out that curiosity itself was the answer.
"Takeshi, this is..." She said looking at the Nakashima engraved stone in the yard.
"I'm sure someone's home. Here." She reassured him as she stepped up and rang the doorbell. A faint dinging could be heard through the walls of the place, and the voice of at least one person inside as well, apparently less than amused.
"Just 'cause my life sucks, doesn't mean yours has to," she said with a smile.

➟ Even after the doorbell had been rung, there was a long period of silence. Just when Takeshi was about to suggest that the duo leave, the door opened. In the doorway stood a boy with a black shirt and a sweater tied around his waist. Was this the future fashion sense adopted by the children of the future? He had recognizable blonde hair but his eyes weren't as memorable. Without saying a word he stared the couple down, carefully examining them. Little did the group know that he was getting acquainted with them in a way they would never suspect. Takeshi opened his mouth to speak but Takashi shot him down with a quick glare. Finally, he broke the silence. "What do you want?" Takeshi just stood there dumbfounded, he didn't know what to say. Takeshi turned to Xuza expecting her to talk in his stead. He already knew who this young boy was, but he couldn't believe that he actually had a son. He didn't know how to react so he went mute for awhile.

Xuza blinked and bounced her eyes off Takeshi once. "Um... Hi!" She started as best she knew.
"I'm not exactly sure what he wants, but I wanted to see what the Nakashima house looked like." She smiled brightly, hoping to win over the youth.
"...Gosh you two look alike." Ok, someone had to say it.

➟ Takashi didn't seem very moved by Xuza's response. It didn't add up to him. Why would she come to his house seeking a tour when they were just an ordinary family? His family wasn't of some fancy nobility. There were no people of interest here that might draw attention, so why? "Has anyone ever told you your a bad liar? I don't know why your here but I don't really care, just leave." The boy began closing the door on them, but not before Takeshi could act on impulse and stop the door with his foot. There were so many things he wanted to ask and say but he didn't know where to start. Takashi just gave this cold stare waiting for Takeshi to say something of interest. "Are you just going to stand there? If you are then I might just slam the door on your foot." Hesitant to speak, Takeshi tried to talk slowly. "My name is... um... Hikaru! Right! Hikaru! I was looking to see if Takeshi Nakashima was home, I have something to discuss with him!" Takashi looked into Takeshi's eyes before giving a sigh. He opened the door so the pair could enter, closing it behind them once they were done. "Come in. Sit on the couch."

"Ur--listen here, punk!" Xuza was about to yank up the boy by the collar before Takeshi convinced him to open the door. The couch was nice, so Xuza didn't mind the attitude so much right now.
"...Ok, so what's the deal?" She decided to take a direct approach, as she does with everything, to the direct blonde boy.
"Why do you look exactly like Takeshi here? I've gathered we were sent into the future... Don't tell me!"
"... Wait. You're too young to be Takeshi in the future. Unless you have Benjamin Button disease."

➟ Sensing Xuza's frustration, Takashi began projecting feelings of serenity to the girl. She would feel this sense of calm wash over her, but whether or not she would let this affect her anger towards him was up to her. Takeshi sat besides Xuza, he didn't know how this was going to go. He had lied to his own son. On the table was a family photo including Takashi's siblings, an older Takeshi, and the supposed wife herself. Takeshi didn't notice this yet however, he was still working out what he would tell Takashi. His son on the other hand knew exactly what to say to his father, he could already sense Takeshi's nervousness, and knew before hand that he had been lying. "I'd refrain from calling me names, as far as I'm concerned you've ruined my peace and quiet. I was relaxing until you two began interrupting my evening." Takashi moved the table a little bit further from the couch and sat on it. Takeshi was silent until Xuza had blown his non-existent cover. Takashi had been feeling something was off the whole time, but he couldn't tell what it was until Xuza had settled his doubts. "I believe you, you don't seem to be lying this time around. My name is Takashi Nakashima and I'm assuming that your Xuza Uriel, and that there is my father. I've seen pictures of when you were younger, but never would I believe that you actually had that baby face unless I'd seen you in person." Takeshi laughed nervously while scratching his back. "Correct! I'm your father, but Im just younger is all." Takashi focused on Xuza, he didn't want to talk much to the younger version of his father just yet. "Just the other day I was complaining that you don't visit enough. We've been going through a lot lately, it would have been nice of your future self to visit more."

"Future me...?" She didn't think of that. Sure, there was future Takeshi, 'cause this guy had to exist, but a future her?
"Well, that seems awfully meta," she began casually, "what with time paradoxes and all."
"But, I suppose you two are in the same place and the universe is still in tact." She shrugged.
"... I don't visit? Why?" Xuza was genuinely interested now.

➟ Takashi saw that she was beginning to feel a little more at ease. His father didn't condone the way he abused his powers but the boy didn't really care. Listening to Xuza he occasionally looked at Takeshi before looking back at her. "Frankly, I don't care if the world breaks, too many things are broken now for me to really care. Takara especially would have loved to see you, but knowing her she is probably strutting around school trying to get noticed." Takashi realized how depressing he sounded and gave a small laugh, just to show them that things were okay. It wasn't like Takashi was always cold, but when his father was around he was a little different. Closing his eyes there was an extended period of silence before Takashi opened his eyes and smiled slightly. "'I'm sorry, both of you. It's just been... Never mind that, I don't want you guys to feel too bummed out. I also shouldn't be mad at you, Takeshi. You haven't done me wrong. Let's start over, my name is Takashi Nakashima, of the future of course!" Takashi smiled while Takeshi felt conflicted. He was a little relieved that his son was acting a bit more kind towards him now, but something about his attitude from before made him feel uncomfortable. "Well it's nice meeting you Takeshi, I'm your father from the past." They both laughed and had a little fun with each other before Takashi tried to get back on track about Xuza. "It's not that you don't visit auntie, but it's just that you... It never seems like you have time for us. You're always running off to god knows where searching for that hag."

"Well, that seems hostile..." She said in reaction to the way Takeshi talked to his dad. His empathy was beginning to tell him she wasn't too impressed, no doubt, so he decided to keep up appearances.
"Much better... But really, Takeshi? You named your son after yourself?" She laughed with them, but then killed that smile when Paradox was mentioned.
"Paradox!" Xuza's wings made an appearance as if a horseman to a trumpet; illustrating there could be neither without the other; that whenever her wings were out she thought of Paradox, and vice versa.
"...I'm sorry." She put them away and fiddled with her skirt.

➟ Takashi saw how Xuza had responded to the mere mention of the witch's name. While he wanted to try and manipulate her feelings, he knew that he would be crossing a moral line with that one. In fact, he doubted all the happiness projected into Xuza could stop her feelings towards Paradox. "Mm, forgive me for bringing her up. I know it's a sensitive subject for you." The boy averted his eyes from Xuza, feeling guilty for opening up old wounds. Takeshi on the other hand put a hand on her shoulder, just to let her know that he was here for her. Paradox and Xuza's past was all too new to him. "'It's okay Xuza..." Takeshi knew for a fact that it wasn't okay, and it wasn't going to be if Paradox wasn't dead by the time Takeshi can have a son near her age. "Once we get out of here we will try even harder to find her, I refuse to let her live a day over twenty." Takashi had seen the friendship they shared, but now the general care Takeshi felt towards Xuza, it was all too familiar with the boy. Years have gone by and they were still best friends. "If you don't have any questions for me then I guess I should ask a few I might only be able to get from you guys at the age you are now. Where are the others? Are they busy meeting their kids or what?" Takeshi wasn't sure what Takashi had meant, but the boy knew who he had been expecting.

"You mean that thing... Is still alive... TWENTY YEARS FROM NOW!!" Xuza's temper flared, her wings burst out of her, and immediately the air around her waved and wrinkled. She turned away from the ground and was outside the house via spatial conversion. And there she stood, looking up at the sky, the air two meters around her dancing about like the light on leaves in the wind.
"...Why can't I just do this one thing? I'm sorry, Marco..." She said to herself.

➟ Takashi shot a gaze at Takeshi before they both got up to follow her. Once they saw she was high up in the air the boys knew they wouldn't be able to reach her by normal means. "Your future self never mentioned how angry she got when Paradox was mentioned, when she was younger. Right now the Xuza in this time is searching for Paradox. It's like she has shut most of the world out, Paradox is the only thing that matters to her now. Every time she visits my father tries to convince her to stay in death city, but she refuses. With the world going crazy he doesn't like the thought of Xuza going off on her own, but she is always searching for leads..." Takeshi felt uncomfortable now, obviously Xuza and Takashi knew a lot more about the witch then he did at the moment. "'I don't think that we should be messing with the way things are suppose to turn out, but if we do make it back then just in case, I want to know how everything reading Paradox." The meister looked at his future son with a serious expression and the boy just nodded back. "Xuza! Get back down here!" Staring at Xuza's wings he could feel her deep rooted hatred for Paradox, but didn't allow himself to get carried away. That wasn't all though, he could feel her bitter sadness, the pain it felt to lose someone so close to her. "Her feelings are strong, it must have been just recently that all of this happened..." Takeshi turned to Takashi not knowing what to make of what he had said, but he was too distracted by Xuza to really care.

Xuza continued fuming for a while, and the stars, who were just coming out, played a game of musical chairs in the terpsichorean air that fluttered about her. There was a certain beauty in all of it: the way she cared this much about a single person, the way that was strong enough to strike the star's light submissive, the way it all ended with a tear splashing to the ground. It was so hopeless, so forlorn, that it at once affirmed all that was beautiful in the fleetingness of life. She drifted down and landed softly, like snow, on the patio outside the house.
Be smart, Uriel... "Alright... You're going to tell me all you know," she didn't ask. "There's a reason I couldn't get her in the twenty years I was looking--in that time who knows how many people's lives she's ruined!--so I must have done something wrong. So, I need to know everything you know, Because I'm gonna kill that witch." She looked at the young Nephilim with the ocular equivalent of a rapier thrust, straight for the eyes.
