Where...? Where do I even start with this other than "HNNNGH!"?
So, as I pointed out before, the Hyrule Warriors Majora's Mask DLC Pack dropped in Europe today; and I braved my way home from what quickly became Snowhead after work in order to be able to play it.
After playing with it for a few hours, all I can really say without going overboard is that it has hyped me even more for Majora's Mask 3D in two weeks.
Let's start off with the new characters, Young Link and Tingle.
Admittedly, I haven't even touched Tingle yet. While the prospect of smacking my enemies around with sacks of Rupees sounds fantastic, I just don't have the same love for Tingle that a lot of others out there do, so I will likely update this thread later with a new post for Tingle, but for now, let me gush over Young Link.
Young Link takes his design cue from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but is completely rendered in full Hyrule Warriors goodness, just in case anyone was thinking he might end up looking like the Adult Link skin for the game's main Link.
This version of Young Link wields the Majora's Mask style Kokiri Sword, but that's only a diversion as his weapon is the Fierce Deity mask hanging from his belt. The game even says that Young Link's weapon is the Mask. It's a darkness type weapon, something that even HW Link hasn't received yet, and boy is it powerful?!
I levelled YL up to level 28 as soon as I started the pack and took him for a test run in the original Adventure Mode map. Every swing of that Kokiri Sword feels like it knocks back 20 enemies at a time. Combos range from spin attacks, to front flips sword strikes and use of the Triforce in a similar manner to Zelda.
YL also has the cool ability to use the Ocarina of Time to transfer energy from his Special Gauge to his Magic Meter/Focus Meter. When the Magic Meter is full, Link dons the mask and becomes Fierce Deity just like in Majora's Mask, right down to the creepy transformation screen.

Fierce Deity is absurdly powerful, and as a result, your Focus Meter drains much more quickly than with any other fighter, or at least that's how it seemed, once I have his badges upgraded completely this may change, but in my playtime there seemed to be a limited amount of time in which you could use the Fierce Deity mask, especially since the strategy of Young Link is to beat down enemies to build up his special gauge and then transfer that build up to the Magic/Focus Meter.
While using the Magic Meter, pressing X (in Zelda fighting style) grants you access to Fierce Deity's finishing maneuver, where Skull Kid wearing Majora's Mask appears with Tatl and Tael and sends the moon at you, but Fierce Deity splits the moon (and battlefield) in two with a devestating energy beam. It's a spectacle to watch.

Fail to activate this, and when the Meter runs out, Fierce Deity finishes up with a simple Spin Attack.
The models are rendered fantastically, YL taking the award for cutest thing ever, while FD is cool, collected and has the situation under control.

With a new DLC comes a new Adventure Mode map, and this is no different.
The Termina Map runs on a countdown gimmick whereby after a certain number of turns, the moon will crash and the board will reset. You keep your weapons/costumes, search items and even your rank on any level, but your movement about the board is completely reverted.
There are two 8bit versions of the Clock Town theme too on this map. Day 1 and Day 3.
Another gimmick of this board is the challenges. Each level will run on a "Get X amount of kills before your opponent does", or a "Capture these keeps first", or a "Don't let the enemy recruit your forces" mission.
With the challenge in mind, I do not recommend taking your level one Young Link and Tingle into this board until they are significantly levelled up.
The DLC also comes with three new costumes outside of those you can find in the Termina Adventure Map.
The first two are Ocarina style Impa and Sheik outfits, for well, Impa and Sheik, which gives me hope for a Skyward Impa costume 8D.
These outfits, much like the Ocarina versions of Link, Zelda and Ganondorf replicate the Ocarina 3D artwork superbly. They do look like they came from that game and were then scaled up and polished, haha.
The third costume, and probably the most controversial: The Skull Kid costume.
Controversial for two reasons:
A ) Most people expected Skull Kid to be playable.
B ) They gave the costume to LANA, the Tecmo OC for the game.
I'm not a fan of this, simply because if you were to ask me, the costume should have gone to Cia, the other Tecmo OC as she's actually evil.
And I never expected a playable Skull Kid after the Great Fairy was given the moon drop gimmick.
The costume itself is a proper render, so no "skin" like qualities to it, and the Majora's Mask on the side of Lana's head is a nice touch. Again, I just feel it was given to the wrong character.
All in all, a fantastic piece of DLC, whether you're buying it individually, or got it as part of the Season Pass. And if it hasn't gotten you hyped for Majora's Mask 3D after a few playthroughs, well...
You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?
