Did you vaccinate your child? Why or why not? Personally, I dont believe in vaccinations and I will post evidence against it later. I am studying to be a doctor and I have researched it all, so I do know what I am talking about. I am not some weirdo who thinks the gov. is out to get me... though they may be ninja Any way, From what I have studied, vaccinations are unneccisary. The diseases that most people get vaccinated for were on the decline before the vaccines were invented. Many countries that did not vaccinate also have a declined number of the diseases and deaths related to diseases that vaccines were created to prevent. In my family, several children who have been vaccinated have developed the disease that they were vaccinated against and have nearly died from it. The doctors all said that the vaccines were defective and that is the only reason my cousins nearly died. talk2hand I also believe that vaccines create more problems than it "fixes". Autism, ADD, and other learning problems are on the rise now that parents think it is manditory to vaccinate their children (and it isnt manditory, but the doctors will sure make you think it is!!). I am sure you have all heard of SIDS? If you can access any death records, you will notice a rise in SIDS at the age of 2 and 4 months. When do most children get major vaccines? 2 and 4 months. Japan moved their vaccination age to 2 years and the rate of SIDS related deaths dropped dramatically. Another reason I refuse to vaccinate my son is the ingrediants in vaccines. Have you ever looked at the ingrediants? Mercury, aborted fetal tissue, and anti freeze are all ingrediants used in many vaccines. I know that if many parents knew they were voluntarily injecting such poisons in their child's blood stream, they would be disgusted. I am in no way trying to tell you what to do with your child and vaccines, but I am posting my opinions (above) and the facts (below) to show you what is really going on so you will be more informed and educated on the subject so you can make a better decision.

A very good post to have. It is just opinoin and I do want to see the facts. One reaosn why i perosnly think most if not all vaccinations are uneccessry is because, beleiv eit or not, a new borns immune system is much stronger then an adults.

That's how my mom got polio. My sister got a live vaccine and my mom caught the ickiness from her. She came out with only a leg paralyzed, though. It's scared me off of live vaccines at least, I'd recommend people look into the vaccines they're getting. Some are for ailments that aren't a promblem anymore, some are required by schools to be administered. Anyway, they say a live vaccine saves you trouble by making it so your child doesn't have to get as many booster shots, but my mom's not exactly alone. It's safer for your child and for you to go with the dead vaccine, even if it does mean more booster shots. That's disgusting, I never knew what was in them before. That's like finding out about human collagen in shampoos.

I had holden vaccinated because of his prematurity. Not so much because I was afraid he would get sick, but rather because we have constant supervion from outside parties and the government is quick to take away your children. I know THAT sounds paranoid, but when Holden was on his heart monitor I was threatened with "action" because I did not use it "enough" even though my doctor had told me it was no longer necessary. A few days later a woman came and told me that "she supposed our house was clean enough" even though literally the only thing out of place was a bottle of mountain dew my husband had left on the coffee table the night before. That was it, no dishes in the sink, no clothes anywhere but in their hamper, no toys out, bed made, bills in order, everything was fine...except that one bottle of mountian dew..and that was almost enough to have a further "investigation".
It's really terrifying. So because of all of that, I have Holden vaccinated so they have no reason to say we're doing anything wrong. I hate living in a world where you can have your child taken away for simply following your doctors orders if the government doesnt agree.

It is agianst the law for them to force you to vaccinate your child or to try and scare you into it! And unless you have been accused of beating or neglecting your child there is no reason for them to come take your son. I would have SUED them!

We just called and left an angry message with their supervisor. Actaully Oliver called and was like "I would just like to inform you that your employees are making threats to my wife that are completely baseless. If you want to investigate be my guest, there are absolutly no grounds for these comments"...the lady was like "Oh, I'm so sorry, no one meant to offend you I'll talk to them about it!!"
It was really frustrating.

eek Where can I find access to this information?! Any websites?! I'm so freaked out now because I vaccinated my first two and I have the 3rd one coming at any time. They perform certain manditory vaccinations at birth! How can we refuse manditory vaccinations?! If we do, will they still be allowed to be in day care? Or public school?! What, exactly can we do? sweatdrop gonk

However, I know it gets tricky when your children are in school because alot of school disticts are really pushy. Just say it is in contridiction with your religious beliefs to administer vaccines and you should be ok. They may still make you do it, but if they do I believe you can press charges. I'd say just google "vaccination laws" for your state and see what comes up.

As far as vaccinations for school go, in my town they literally suspend your child's attendance until you get it done... my town is such a pain, but I can't afford to move. I don't like getting my kids vaccinated anyway, it's painful to them, though my kids are good about it, but I still hate the way they administer them by jabbing a giant needle into their thighs, sometimes four or five times! I hate the people who mandate this stuff! scream

When I got Maria vaccinated, she developed a huge lump in her legs and got really sick, like she was having the flu or colic.

Akra-Takashi When I got Maria vaccinated, she developed a huge lump in her legs and got really sick, like she was having the flu or colic. That's very common, and doesn't denote serious issues. My pediatrician gave us papers that explained any reactions your child might have and when those reactions become something to be concerned about. I believe in vaccinating your child wholeheartedly. I researched it extensively before I had my baby. A good, recent, up-to-date article to check out: From Time Magazine, June 2008 IssueWhile many of the diseases children are vaccinated against are nigh dead in countries such as America and the UK, international travel in particular is something to be concerned about.
