I honestly feel that the announcement wasn't fair to one party over another. Yes, this is the internet. It doesn't give people an excuse to be insensitive pricks about things, contrary to what people think. People's feelings need to be considered before you say jokes that could be taken the wrong way, or at the very least warn people to not take whatever you are going to say offensively.
But your announcement seemed to be worded in such a way to basically say 'Go ahead and say what you want. If people have a problem with it, too bad. They should stop going on the internet,' it's what it looked like to me at least.
Honestly, in the end it was both parties fault that it got out of hand. On one hand, people should of watched what they were saying and consider that some people might get offended by the content they are about to say. On the other hand, you are right, some people do need to grow a thicker skin. But that isn't going to happen immediately.

We get censored for everything? I find it ridiculous. The Skype Chat is what the members have made it and if that is what some people deem acceptable in it, you have no one but yourself to blame really. It is both parties fault but I think the reaction was way out of hand. Really? I addressed the fact it went out of hand a few times but we are all of an age where I should think we were all compos mentis. You should be able to take it. Jesus, Grogan you're 20 odd yourself. It's not like it's burning your virgin ears... y'know what I'm saying? Both parties are at fault but the extreme fashion of some peoples' reactions are what disappointed me "most". We used to photoshop one and other onto animals having sex in WoTS.

We all should be responsible enough that we all watch what we say.

You should be able to follow the laws but if you don't want to or shouldn't have to. That's cool. Did anyone at any one time say anything personal about YOU? Did they say anything that was out of line? Like far beyond the line? Anything hurtful? Well?

Uchiha Roxas If you have anything to say in response to the announcement posted here:

I am all ears. Please post your concerns below. I suppose the biggest question I have is if this public chatroom is moderated or if issues that occur within it are brought to the mods after the fact. If it is moderated, should it not be the job of the moderator to see the signs of discourse and take it upon themselves to move the conversation to another topic? Or, alternatively, bring the offending/offended parties into a separate chat to work out the issues? If the chat isn't moderated, then I don't see why warnings and threats of ending need to be given. When you enter into a free-for-all chatroom, you need to realize that it will be a free-for-all. Things will be said that you may not like and it is up to you to decide whether to leave or stay. If I recall correctly, most of those involved in last night's drama left the chatroom to calm down, so they took what I feel to be the necessary actions in that situation. Though I believe coming back into the chatroom and complaining about what happened (not that it happened, I'm just covering my bases) is in poor form and should be discussed outside of the general chat. I guess what I mean to say is that once the drama has left the chat, keep it out and enjoy a conversation about puppies or television upon your return! biggrin That's just my two cents on the matter.
