"I don't like to be kept waiting!" Came a gruff voice as Masota, the Mayor of this place, stood at a empty shop.
Lemonade took a deep breath and ran toward her, Artemis following behind "I am sorry" she said as she stood in from of a rouge...at least she was once upon a time, one of the more legendary ones "I just have never..." she was interrupted as the Mayor started speaking.
"I don't care" she said as she pulled her long strawberry blonde hair back into a messy pony tail.
Lemonade looked at her and from her deduction the Mayor stood at six foot, human, and only, from what it looked like, in her late twenties with dark green eyes and soft features...at least she would have if she wasn't upset with her right now "thank you for taking the time to see me" she said as she raised a hoof for her to shake.
Masota ignored her hoof and just stood there, arms folded "so, you have been wanting to talk about a new shop owner for months and you are not even wanting to have me see him? What makes me sure he can be trusted?" She asked, looking down at her.
"Darmani is my mate, he works hard, the Elders trust him and he is one of the best workers anyone would be pleased to have on board but I wish to make this a surprise for him so please, I just want to leave him out of this for now if that is alright with you."
"No it isn't alright with me but a couple of the Elders have spoken well about you and your family which is the only reason I am even giving you an audience with me" she said as she dropped the keys on the ground "this...Darmani, has a months probation, I am not pleased about this but i work for the Elders and they put me in charge here so if they say so then I can't go back on their word BUT they have also granted me permission to let him carry on working here or not after the month is over with. I don't like new comers unless they have proven to me that they can be an asset here and I don't know what his work ethic is like, I don't even know what HE is like but I did promise that son of yours that I would give him a chance so that is what he is getting.
Take the keys and I want to meet with him once he has opened up the shop and got everything in place and after that we will discuss tax and everything else, till then I give him a week to set up, if it is sooner that he is finished, I will see him then, just send a message to Artemis, he will be able to get it to me" she said as she turned around and started to walk off.
Lemonade just accepted what was said, picked up the keys and sighed a sigh of relief that it was over "thank you" she called out, looking over the shop, it was a decent size and so she knew that Darmani could do well here and looked at Artemis "thank you, Artemis" she said as he nodded and ran after his boss.
Lemonade opened a portal to the clearing that Raven had created and said the magic words, had it open, then walked through, closing it behind her and then walked over and opened up the next part, as the portal appeared she walked through and made her way to the beach, reaching it twenty minutes later she had Moonlight set up a romantic picnic, rose petals covered the ground, a basket had been set aside with food laid out for them both, many of his favorites, and two glasses of wine set up on a table next to the picnic blanket with a potion bottle next to his side. Lemonade looked up and called to Raven "Raven, I know you can hear me, come here please, I need your...help" the one word she knew Raven hated unless it meant helping her own family.
Raven's head appeared, nothing else, it was a floating head and she didn't seem happy "I let you in here, I let you have this beach to yourself for the day, I even granted you to have a basket that will let you keep your ice cream cold and you STILL want my help? Lemonade, if you haven't realized, I hate you and your family and now both that brother of yours and my disowned ex daughter are not welcome in either yours or my family, do you honestly think I want to help you further? You have enough stuff from me as it is and if it wasn't for Moonlight you STILL wouldn't have this."
"I know, but please, can't you just grant me this one last request? I swear, I will come and clean your potion bottles for a month or something, just please help me this last time?"
Raven sighed "fine, but just remember you owe me, what is it that you want?"
"Can you please send a message to Darmani to get him to meet me at the clearing?"
"Now I am playing messenger pony? Seriously, this makes two months of you playing slave to me, whatever I want done, you do it with no questions asked, regardless what it is, got it?"
Lemonade hated this, Lemonade REALLY hated this, if she made this promise Raven could get her to do ANYTHING and she was NOT wanting that! But at the same time she was the only one who knew exactly where Darmani was and Coven was away on business and thus Lemonade didn't really want to run around looking for him which could take hours "I can't promise that!" She protested weakly, knowing that she didn't have a choice, but maybe, just maybe, Raven would lower the 'punishment' a little? "I know you, Raven, if I promise this you will make me do God knows what and I can't promise that"
"Fine, I will let you deal with your own matters then" she said as she vanished completely.
Lemonade sat there, thinking for a moment, her first plan obviously didn't work so she took a deep breath, let it out and called out for Raven again "alright Raven...you...you win!" She called as a voice resounded over head.
"Knew you would see it my way!" Raven said and she said no more.
Lemonade started to make her way back to the clearing to wait for him at the 'door', wondering now what trouble she had just got herself into, she basically just signed her life for the next two months away to the closest thing to the Devil and she knew Raven was going to enjoy this immensely.
