» PERSONALITY ales and ban
Arezu is, for the most part, friendly. She can be a bit blunt sometimes, and worries about people not liking her because of it. When interacting with new people she usually seems cool, a bit aloof and in control. She doesn't do it on purpose, but it's obvious that when she feels more comfortable she is much more energetic.

Crown City, a city where leaves and stone live together, connected by the water that flows throughout. As a child Arezu spent her time wandering the canal edges, creeping under bushes and climbing trees all over town. She didn't think she needed friends, and likely would have remained alone had she not come upon a little fox Pokemon, wounded and huddled inside a tree's hollow. This Zorua she named Hakuren. Haku's trickster nature certainly helped to open Arezu up to having a bit more fun with people and Pokemon, not just nature, while Arezu taught the fox patience and calm. When in public Hakuren disguises himself either as another Pokemon or, interestingly enough, as a female human. He has a male form that he prefers as well, however.
On her tenth birthday, while playing in the city's largest botanical garden well past her bedtime, Arezu heard a sound like bells whispering through the leaves. Creeping closer, Haku yipped in surprise a moment before Arezu beheld the clearing before her aglow. Haku bit at her ankles but she stepped forward and the light surrounded her. When next she could see she looked up, and the garden's glass ceiling was gone. Haku weaved nervously around her ankles, alarmed to find they were both in a wild forest, the city gone. In that ancient forest Arezu and Haku met the time travel fairy, Celebi. They climbed trees thousands of years young and ate berries extinct in their own time. They said goodbye to Celebi in the morning, but every year since then Arezu and Haku have returned to the garden on Arezu's birthday to meet their friend.

Turns out, what Arezu thought was her past wasn't true at all. One year after she set out, she came back to her hometown to find her longtime friend Celebi. Turns out her and her zorua/brother Hakuren's memories had been altered, her house just straight up never existed, and some sketchy bad guy types had kidnapped Celebi. They all escaped together, realized their memories were messed up, and decided to go live in a treehouse in the middle of the woods like responsible adults.
