I really really realllyyyyyyy dislike working with other people for projects. Almost every single time I get screwed over by them either never doing their work, not showing up for the presentation, only writing stuff that is all copy pasted, etc. I know everyone goes through this sort of thing at one point or another.....but I am really fed up.....I keep losing marks on my stuff because of stupid incompetent people.
Fortunately, my other two members are super hard workers...but unfortunately for them, they are being brought down in this madness as well. We got forced to be paired with this 4th member because groups were supposed to be a minimum of 4 and she had no where else to go. This is also the most important project in our whole program....it being the FINAL project....that just makes matters worse....being forced to work with a unreliable person...
We have one member who is constantly not showing up to class or coming in super late. Today, she showed up at the last 5 minutes of class, when it was a day to hand in our parts for a portion of the project....and now we are all getting 10% deducted from our grade due to handing it in late >_> which is totally unfair because the rest of us handed our stuff in on time....
I really hate people sometimes sweatdrop
Sorry for the long post....just felt like ranting a little bit burning_eyes

I find that to be more of a fail on the part of the teacher to penalize each individual in the group for the incompetence of one neutral
On the other hand, knowing that group projects can be like that, I would still always do all the work (without mentioning this to the others) just in case someone pulled a stunt like that.
It sucks and it's not fair, but it's a life lesson. Life is literally like that all the time

UGH, that's so shitty. Teachers should always have some way of accounting for group members who don't pull their weight.
My program has been all group work since semester 3 and thank god I haven't had a bad group yet. There's so much work due that doing as Gin suggests would be impossible. :S

Agreed....I thought the teacher would do something...since he also is the reason we are stuck with this shitty partner...but no, he did absolutely nothing. I actually really do not like this teacher. Even from my first year in this program, I thought he was a bit of an a** who was full of himself. 3 years later....and I still do not like him >_> .
We tried our best to cover the parts she wasn't sending us but there was too much D: this project is huge!! However, we are going to be more prepared for her garbage now...and we will have back ups, if she decides to pull this s**t again.
At the end of the semester we have a presentation in front of judges (who will be people who are actually part of real hotel organizations) and we don't trust her at all...we suspect that she may not even show up to the presentation at all. We are already preparing ourselves to take over her parts if that happens to occur.
She came by to see the rest of my group today and she didn't even say sorry. She acted as if nothing at all happened yesterday. That really hit a nerve.....I hate people who have no respect for ourselves gonk it's so disgraceful....anyways, got to move on I guess. C'est la vie... emo

UGH that's so ANNOYING

I hate that life is actually like that. Like you don't always get to pick your team members/coworkers and they often screw you over. It's so annoying that they do it at the education/training stage though. Like I'm paying money to study and get good grades don't fk me up by sticking me with someone who'll sully the transcript I'm going to be dragging along with me for the rest of my life.
I totally feel ya... sad
