Akamaru swims up to the coast and gracefully bursts through the water's ever flowing surface. As he approaches land, he morphs more into his melda form, that is to say: his humanoid form. The shorsha casually flicks his wet hair over its shoulder and continues onwards toward the festivities not too far off just past the beach. His crystal blue eyes scan the area as he smiles with an amused grin. "Well, a party at the beach side. Looks fun to me!" He cheerfully examines the festivities and simply jumps right in as he passes the snack tables, grabbing plates full of treats and stuffing his gullet. For the most part he is snacking on shrimps and sweet plumbs. He loves every bite of it. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful and above all floral. It is down right festive, which is appropriate since it is indeed a festival. One thing that has always struck him as interesting is the fact that the land bound peoples are not so different while still being quite different altogether. While the cultures vary, their intrinsic natures are often very much the same. Motivations such as food, sex, and fun are always running the gamut. The negative traits such as territorial behaviors, sex, and temperamental moods also have their run, too. To him it was only window dressing that their cultures were different.

Akamaru's smile grows into a broad grin. A light wind whisks by and through and around his hair, and clothing. (By his, we are using the term loosely, as he can equally be called a she). Conceivably it is rustling around her and anybody and anything else around them. Not that he is paying all that much attention to it. The sounds of the waves are interrupted by a soft splash of something or somebody rising up from the sea. He turns to see what or who has attracted his attention. A playful glint is in his eyes as he walks gracefully over towards her. His movements are flowing, as though he were still in the sea. A wild hare must have passed through him and he taps her shoulder lightly three times, as though he were knocking on her shell, but without any real pressure or strength behind it. "Knock knock! Hello!" he says bright and cheerfully. "It is nice to meet you, too! My name is Akamaru Senjesu, The Red Tide Calm Amidst the Storm. What am I thinking? You know our common tongue, Fofaf Common, as well as I do no doubt. Although, I do know some Royal, but there is no need to be formal, is there?" He chuckles softly and grabs her arm. "Come! Festivities are abound!"

Akamaru impetuously gives her a peck on the cheek and leads her into the party. "I see they have some fun games and lots of wonderful foods. I smell shrimp and squids. Maybe there will be some octopus and plankton." He leads her over to the buffet tables and takes an appreciative whiff. Seafood prepared in so many ways. Fried, covered in creamy sauces, drenched in red sauces, or even served chilled. So many things to try. He eyes the wobbling kelp gelatin flavored with a variety of tropical fruits. This was promising. He looks over at the three main games up for play. "Let's see. There's food, ring toss, Dohyō MMA, and balloon pop. What do you fancy trying first?"

Akamaru blinks at first and then grins with delight. Shorsha are quick to adapt and quite easily pair off. An amused look and he suddenly pulls her into his arms. "Sounds good to me! It seems that this was the easiest courtship known." Ever impulsive, as many Shorsha are, the male inclined Shorsha gently takes her hand and leads her towards the foods. "I suppose since you showed the most interest in foods, we should give the buffet a go. Maybe we can stuff ourselves until our shells are ready to crack!" The last part he said merely in jest. Although, with his carefree attitude, who could tell? A perfectly rhetorical question.

Akamaru laughs softly at her misinterpretation of his words. "A joke only, Shiimaru. I believe it to be physically impossible to eat that much." He takes her by the hand and leads her over to the end of the line for the buffet and hands her a plate. "It's okay to relax, love. We are in a festival atmosphere and there is nothing that is of any threat or concern here." He wraps an arm around her and cups her jaw to kiss her. "I want you to know, I will do whatever I can to take good care of you. I have my entire tribe to look after you back in my lagune and there isn't anything of threat there, either." He says this as though he just might be able to sense her tenseness and concerns that seem to be bubbling just under the surface. If his interpretations are true, then they just may balance one another out. Shorsha, as a general rule, but not always, are known for their cavalier attitudes and playful natures, but they are also known by certain circles to be highly territorial against threats and very defensive of the dominant families. A playful glint in his eyes and a quick wink and he is loading up his plate with a scoop or two of everything that looks good. "We came pretty late to this party, so I figure, we should get while the getting is good." He might be an aristocrat and have a decent amount of money, but he is not above a freebie when it splashes into his waters as it were. His general opinion of the situation is quite simple: have fun, have food, have love and you will live satisfied all your life even if you are poor as an eel. Eels being a rather undesirable meal source and not known for their friendliness are in fact, regarded as poor by the Shorsha. Of course, that is not how must species would phrase it, but in the end it means the same thing. Sorta kinda and vice versa.
