After learning from the police that the perpetrator may have been a rogue student (weapon) from the DWMA, Kaiser takes it to himself to attend the school and gather information about his parents' murderer.

The Bahr Family is a well-renowned clan of swordsmen, blacksmiths, and martial artists. Kaiser is no exception to this, having been trained at a young age, physically and mentally, to defend himself and uphold the clan's reputation as Germany's best. On his spare time, when he is free from his father's strict training regimen, Kaiser either cooks for his clan's warriors, or joins the blacksmiths and crafts whatever weapon he could. Despite what his upbringing may tell of him, he's actually quite kind and understanding, often taking care of trainees younger than he. One could say that Kaiser and the Bahr family, have a very enjoyable lifestyle.
However, one fateful day brought an swift and bloody end too all that Kaiser held near and dear to him. Kaiser and his siblings left their clan's base in search for rare materials for their blacksmiths. Shortly after they've departed, a mysterious figure crept upon their base. The figure had deceptively innocent looks and a small frame which she used to her advantage as she requested refuge from the Bahr clansmen, she claimed that she was being pursued by a band of mercenaries, hoping to capture and enslave her. The Bahr clansmen took pity of her and welcomed her within the base with open arms, however, unbeknownst to them was the fact that this girl was actually a rogue weapon who was dissatisfied with the current Shinigami's policy of Non-Hunting of Witches. The female knew quite well that the Bahr family had souls more enrich with power than those of ordinary humans. She immediately besieged the clan's base, luckily, the clansmen were more than a match for her and were able to mortally injure her, which forced her to retreat. The Bahr clansmen knew the female would return and made preparations to meet that end.
Several weeks have passed and Kaiser's party have yet to return to the base, but the same can't be said for the rogue weapon. She has returned along with reinforcements. An army of like-minded weapons and meisters to be exact. They immediately laid siege to the Bahr family's base. The clansmen, including Kaiser's parents, immediately protected their territory and launched a counter-offensive. The conflict further escalated when majority of the weapon-meister teams activated their soul resonance. As powerful as the Bahr clan may have been, they were still mortal men, and naturally they were not able to keep up with the synchronized movesets of the invaders. Several hours have passed and only a handful of Bahr clansmen remain, however the rogue weapon-meister invaders' numbers remain plenty and far outnumber what little elite Bahr clansmen remain. Fortunately, Kaiser and his siblings arrive on time and dispatched multiple squads of the invaders upon joining the fray. Kaiser's parents were both overjoyed and disappointed of their children's actions. Fearing that defeat and death was inevitable, Kaiser's father offered an alternative to the invaders, their lives in exchange for the guarantee of their children's safety.
The invaders agree and immediately slaughter the elders of the clan, including Kaiser's parents. Upon the seeing this, Kaiser's siblings, in their rage and grief, plows through a significant brunt of the invaders' force. Kaiser, knowing fully well that such actions would be meaningless and instead knocks his siblings unconscious and flees the battlefield. The invaders pursue them but Kaiser makes quick work of them by using his brand new sword which feeds on his own life in exchange for ungodly strength. This proves more than enough and deters further pursuers. Kaiser quickly sheathes his sword and brings his siblings to safety, where he also nurses them back to health.
Upon awakening, Kaiser's siblings realize what their brother has done and an intense argument erupted. Kaiser asserted that he did what he could to protect them, and ensure the survival of their clan's lineage. Sadly, Kaiser's siblings didn't share this sentiment and they parted ways there and then. Kaiser tried to chase them and convince them to stay, but his younger brother immediately drew his sword on him and threatened to slay him where he stood. Speechless and emotionally distraught, Kaiser let's them go.
After mourning and reflecting for what seemed to be an eternity, Kaiser decides that he doesn't have enough power to exact revenge upon his clan's destroyer. Kaiser also knew that continuing his clan's conventional training would also be futile, therefor Kaiser decided to fight fire with fire, and sought out admission to the Death Meister Weapon Academy, in order to develop new skills and abilities which would pave the road to his revenge and reunion with his siblings.

+ Master Swordsman - After training for what seemed like half his lifetime, Kaiser's skill with the blade is unmatched, even far surpassing those of previous generations. I.E. Musashi Miyamoto
+ Blacksmithery - Kaiser took interest in his clan's blacksmiths' works and therefor, personally took it upon himself and learned how to craft blades. His skill as a blacksmith may not be as impressive as his skill as a swordsman, but he is still more than capable of creating swords a few leagues below than that of legendary blacksmith. Furthermore, Kaiser's skill in blacksmithery allows him to craft "cursed" swords, or blades that sacrifice one aspect in favor of boosting another to ungodly levels.
A prime example of this would be Kaiser's sword - Yosamu Juuichi - A sword which sacrifices the wielder's life force in favor of increasing it's cutting power. If Kaiser infuses enough years of his life, this sword is powerful enough to cut through dimensions, but doing so could result to Kaiser's immediate death. Another example would be Yawarakai Te - A sword which sacrifices cutting power in favor of defense, this sword is unable to cut through anything, even paper, but is capable of withstanding blows that would otherwise crack a diamond. Unlike his first sword, this one requires to life force.
