It is a Mansion like home built in the most unusual of ways in one of the most unusual places. The manor’s walls and floors are made from tree roots and branches from four very much alive Oaks that have taken root on two cliffs. The walls have ornately carved stone pillars threaded through them for from the roof to the beach far below for additional structural support as well as beauty. The House has multiple spiral staircases leading down to various tide pools at different heights above the beach, all of which far above the reach of the tide and therefore safe from sharks and other predators. There is also a spiral staircase leading down to the beach itself and each staircase spirals around an ornately carved stone pillar. The pillars are not only ornately carved of the finest imported stone from dracano, but they are also painted with a paint derived from Black pearls in a process that is unknown outside the Mushin'enbaht Family Clan. The House has finely crafted windows that use crushed black pearls in the glass. The house is lit by crystal lanterns with shutters that can make them bright enough to illuminate the whole house, or dim enough to barely see by. The Manor has 20 different bedrooms equipped with three beds each, 9 bath rooms, a fully equipped kitchen with stone and metal oven and fresh water plumbing with fresh water derived by collecting and condensing steam generated by boiling sea water. The House also has steam tanks that heat water for bathing. There is a basement that is half pantry and half vault. There is a single family room, and there two training rooms with training dummies and a decently sized arena ring. The manor has 3 stories, with four balconies that have glass doors leading to them. The balconies are carved marble with branches growing up through precut out holes in it to form the railings of the balconies. The inside of the house is furnished with ornate hand crafted furniture crafted from the finest driftwood, shells, coral, and the softest of fabrics. The house looks beautiful, but feels old, very old. Many of the chairs have the dates they were made on them, and these dates suggest the house and everything in it was made by craftsmen from the same family, over the course of 9 generations.
This Amazing manor was gifted to Flurry Corvus and her rather large family by a total stranger by way of a letter that mysteriously found its way to her. The letter Gave the location of the home, as well as ownership of it to Flurry Corvus, and the only explanation was a set of words. “Raise him well.”

It was strange to her. So very strange that the word strange hardly begins to describe it. At the time she had received the letter she had been with her family in a little get together. And by little, I mean rather large. However, since it was just her immediate family and their spouses and children, to her, it was a little gathering. Oh, one could quibble about the matter and point out that some thirty or forty adults and about three times as many children was far from a small group of people enjoying a nice Sunday morning repast of millet seed pancakes, lizard sausages, and a blueberry blackberry sauce that her father liked to refer to as Black and Blue Breakfast Special as a little play on the berries her mother uses, and on the fact that the grand majority of the family is in some form of service as warriors of some kind. The letter had been hand delivered by messenger and specifically to her. However, before she could ask for any questions the messenger had run off. That was a few days ago. Now, standing about fifty feet away from the property promised by their mysterious benefactor, she stares at it while the ocean breeze brushes through her hair and feathers. Mikey is carefully balanced on her shoulders, gently being protected from falling should he decide to squirm with a gentle hand on each of his knees. The letter in question is in her jacket pocket. It isn't until her brother calls out to her from behind as he lands that she realizes that she has been holding her breath for a little while. "Sis!" She jumps and turns around to see a rather large raven land on the top of a fence along the way. She sighs and blinks at him for a second. "What?" she asks him. "I was wondering how long you wanted to stand there like an idiot before you decide to go ahead and finish leading the flock to the new place." Flurry furrows her brow and halfheartedly shoos him with one of her hands. He caws as he laughs and lands on little Mikey's shoulder. He gives him a light little peck on the cheek. "Your mother's a tad touchy today, isn't she?" He caws some more and flutters back up to the rest of the flock as they circle the sky above them. 'Ironbeak can be a real pain in the tail ' she notes. To Mikey, she looks up and back at him with her flexible neck and smiles. "So, want to check the new place out, Mikey? Uncle Ironbeak can wait if you aren't ready." That last part was just a joke and she heads over towards the house. Her father and mother swoop in for a landing as soon as she enters the yard. The older male bears the scars of a warrior's life, including one very telling scar that leads through where one eye patch is situated. Her mother is actually still attractive, as female fedison go. The both of them shift back into their melda forms and wait for her to make her way to the door. Flurry removes the little boy from her shoulders and sets him down so that he can run around or follow her. Normally, she would be more cautious about doing that, but they are surrounded by nearly a hundred members of their family flock. Most of them remain in flight, but a few have already landed on or near the property. She tries the key in the lock and delights as it slides in easily and turns just as well. It was not a problem in the slightest. A soft push on the door and it swings open. The inside does not disappoint her in the least. A pleasant inside to the manor, which is the least a place like this could be referred to as, to match the outside. Whoever her benefactor is, Mikey's biological mother or father, they certainly meant it that they wanted her to have a nice place. Still, the poshness of the place does make her a little bit concerned. Just what happened that she would wind up caring for somebody else's child as if he were her own? Up until now, that question has never bothered her. However, at this very moment in time, it really does. The parent or parents in question have stated that they not only know she has their son, but they are giving her their blessing to continue to look after the precocious little scamp. She fingers the orb pendant she has brought all of their worldly possessions in and wonders if she wouldn't be better off selling most of those things since they have this place and the wonders within it. For now, she decides to keep them locked inside and continues to explore.
