Camilla wasn't sure how she'd stumbled on this monstrous lizard like shadowling but it was sure intent on taking a big bite out of her! Quickly she draws Buyou Rouzu and her Main Gauche then gets in her usual battle pose waiting for it to make it's move...

Hungrily it circles her waiting for a opening with blood red eyes staring deeply at her like she was some prey animal before suddenly it lunges! "Hah!" she yells as she swiftly dodges to the side! One of the monster's claws barely grazes her arm and she returns the favor with a few swift slashes from her sharpened Bokken to the creature's side!

The Drome wails in pain before whirling around to smack Camilla with it's tail! She wasn't expecting this and the tail just barely hits her left shoulder! Unfortunately it was enough to throw her Main Gauche strike off and cause no damage...

The Drome was frustrated! Camilla wasn't being the easy meal it had hoped! Wailing it's fury it recklessly rushes in for a attack! "Eep!" she squeaks not expecting it's fury! Swiftly she jumps back but just as she does her foot catches on a rock and she starts falling back "A-ack!" she yelps as the Drome see's it's opportunity and lunges!

Some how as she fell back Camilla had been able to lash out with her Bokken! Her blade slices across the lunging Drome's chest causing it to wail in pain! and using the momentum they had both built up Camilla somehow got her feet on the shadowlings belly and tossed it over her where it lands with a loud thud!

Some how as both scramble to get to their feet the Drome smacks her in the shoulder with it's tail knocking her sideways back onto the ground and eliminating her opportunity to attack! Fortunately her Spauldrons took most of the blow!

Both Camilla and the Drome were tiring...The Drome more so then her! This became evident by the fact that the Shadowling didn't rush her when she was down! She wasted little time in getting up and brandishing her weapons ready to strike! This would be the final attack!

Screeching it's fury the Drome charges at her! It was tired and reckless however and only managed to catch her side with it's claws before she stabs it firmly in the side on it's way by! It screeches angrily before collapsing in a heap and fading away in a black cloud of smoke!

As she watches the Shadowling fade away she takes a steadily breath "Phew..." she says proudly as it fades away completely! That had been her first major shadowling battle and she'd won it all by herself! Yeah she'd fought the little shadowlings in the Courtyard but they were nothing compared to the Drome!

Truthfully she knew it was chump change compared to what the top knights were fighting but she was still proud of her achievement! She had also admittedly thoroughly enjoyed the battle! And so even though it didn't leave a prize Camilla heads back to the lake feeling happy and proud!
