tbh I'd take aaaaaallllllll the inflation and marketplace explosion if it meant the staff paying even the slightest bit of attention to the guild system
people have been asking for upgrades for years and Gaia's response was basically, "if we ignore them for long enough and pretend it doesn't exist, maybe they'll stop asking and go away."
aaaaaand they pretty much only get the occasional whine nowadays from people who don't know that's gaia's actively ignoring guilds

I get a little excited when I see my gold in the corner and then I remember inflation.
There's still a small 15yo inside who is totally thrilled, though.

If I had half the gold I have now when I started I'd buy stuff like crazy but I still seem broke to most people

Now it's peanuts. they really didn't think the gold think through when pumping out so many gold gain items
