Dad was absolutely boring. Always rambling on about stupid myths to everyone, Happy didn't know how his mom could stand it. What in the world did she see in this guy? He was nothing like the men in her book's, especially not the buff manly types. Thank god he didn't seemed to have inherited his father's boring personality.

The little flutter colt sighed, sitting with an elbow on the counter of the family bookstore as he leaned a cheek against his ghostly hoof. He absentmindedly blew a curl of hair away from his face as he stared out the window. How the heck was he supposed to know what to get his boring old man? The stallion already had all the books he could possibly want. Heck he was pretty sure he even had multiple copies of books he considered valuable.

Maybe he could just snag a couple of flowers out of the park and present them as his gift. People would totally buy that he'd bought his dad a nice bouquet right? The purple boy groaned, smushing his cheek into his hoof further. What a hassle.
