Family: The Strider family runs a successful and extremely wealthy ranch back in Johto. Raiden left his mother and two older siblings behind to set up a branch in Zatao and have a vacation at the same time.
About:
A shrewd businessman, Raiden possesses a sharp mind and a silver tongue. He has only recently come to Zatao, and is looking to find potential clients for his ranch.
Although Raiden is committed to seeing his ranch become a success, he is does not single-mindedly pursue that goal. Finally free from the watchful eyes of his family, he has spent much of his spare time with passing amusements, including flirting. Many who see him outside of the business environment will get the impression that he's a spoiled brat with money to blow, an image he specifically cultivates.
History:
As the youngest of the direct Strider line, Raiden has managed to escape most of the responsibilities his two older siblings, a brother and a sister, had been saddled with. However, he was never coddled. When his father died while he was only three, his mother decided to focus on growing the family business rather than raise the children.
She devoted much of her waking hours to the ranch, and within a decade, the Strider ranch became a household name in the area. However, there still existed a span of time between her husband's death and the business' success, during which they were too poor to hire a caretaker. Thus, Raiden and his siblings had grown to be self-sufficient since a young age, and helped with the ranch when they were able. As they grew, they, too, began to dedicate much of their time to the work. Although his brother eventually left to travel the world, he and his sister remained.
Another decade passed, and the Strider ranch had opened up numerous branches within Johto. They were prospering, and it didn't take long for them to consider spreading to other regions as well. Zatao was not their first option considering its relative youth and low number of established settlements; however, Raiden pushed for the decision, and eventually won on the condition that he overlook the project himself. With a few additional staff and his only Pokémon, he booked the first ship to Zatao.

Ranch:
Located a small ways south of Katarina, where the land is plentiful and calm. The ranch has one moderately-sized building on the side closest to the city which serves as a place of business on the first floor and a home on the second. Connected to the building is a series of kennels, and the rest of the area is fenced-off open land. A forest is nearby.
With time, Raiden hopes to open up a number of subdivisions in his ranch, each with their own specialties (such as service companions, herders, and show contestants); however, at the present moment, he's focusing on training canines for patrolling, tracking, detection, and guarding. He makes it no secret that he hopes to provide K9s for the Katarina Police Station; though it's not exactly a lucrative prospect, it is a dependable and influential one, and he'd need to obtain a solid source of income before he can look to expand.
At the moment, the ranch has only a handful of staff.
Breeding Availability:
(Raiden prefers to breed his Pokémon with certified lines to ensure health and good genes; however, he is not opposed to having his Pokémon fall in love! Just note that none of them will remain monogamous with a partner that is not certified.)

Obtained from the Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Event (Paid Raffle) on 12/1/14
Gauge had initially been bred for his endearing brows and ears, and has been a loyal companion to Raiden since birth. He is not an active breeder (as his floppy ears would be detrimental to police work), but currently assists Raiden by participating in contests to serve as advertisement for the Strider ranch. He is a playful fellow and easily succumbs to treats; however, he can be absent-minded and forgetful.
