Quote: I wanted to get this out there but the start itself implies some things that aren't going to make sense until I get clearance to backdate some things~ Summertime brought with it all of the impetus to remain outdoors with research in tow. Since leaving the woods, Shale felt he spent far too much time indoors; the tan he held so easily before started to fade, and with it went some of his hunting skills. Luckily he still found time and reason to keep those sharp, but when Negaverse duties called on him at night, he found he slept further into the day than he would've liked. But now that he had every reason to sit outdoors and read, he could reverse some of the damage.
When Shale took a seat beneath a branching sycamore tree, he held in his hands a thick textbook, a smaller hardback book, and trapped within that cover were a variety of newspaper cutouts and printouts from the internet. The lattermost of his collection mandated Porsha's assistance but she helped without qualm. Now all that remained for him was a sift through these documents in the day before he moved onto the next. He hadn't expected his endeavors would require so much effort toward research, but it was imperative he form a solid foundation of understanding to work from lest he only repeat all these previously-established tenets. In short, to do otherwise was a waste of time.
When he opened the book, a set of translations on primary source material authored by the Nazi party, one of the printouts sat on top of the first page. Folded in half, it held many clippings and other printouts. He removed the first page, an account on the DREADD remote and its efficacy in hardlining mouse behavior, and set to organizing the rest of the papers into coherent segues. These segments were then reinserted into latter sections of the book for safe-keeping. Yet when a breeze picked up, it stole away the initial printout and sent it scurrying through the air toward the more active members of the park.
Over children it whizzed, taunting them to catch it. It passed between two young mothers, who commented on it idly before resuming talk of future plans. Around a tree it whisked, skirted a table, and finally the winds brought it low enough that it struck a girl's leg and the gust pinned it there for a full second before abating entirely.
With all research hastily packed up for the chase, Shale had trotted after it at a good clip before the paper finally found landing on a young woman. "Can I have that back?" He asked on approach, gesturing toward the paper.

The summer was every teenagers dream. A time when they could enjoy water parks, fun adventures, or just plain fun anything. A chance when the sun was shining and the birds whistled songs to all those who would lend an ear to listen.
Well for Amigar summertime meant something entirely different. It was the time when she would help her parents with events or learn baking techniques. The kind of teaching you couldn't learn in a normal high school and could only learn from a true chef. or at least that was what she thought except this summer was anything but. for both of her parents had disappeared off for work leaving her with absolutely nothing to do.
Which is why at this moment she walking down the street in her purple heart outfit. Looking at every corner for something to do and that was when she saw it. A bench in a beautiful park. As she walked hurriedly towards it. She gently took a seat and set her current cook book down on her lap.
"Man today is so beautiful," she said aloud as she leaned back in the chair that was directly in the rays of the sun and a smile on her face. As she reached for her cook book which today featured cupcakes, she felt a strong wind which had blown her hair backwards.
Though the moment as she opened the book a piece paper landed directly on her open page. Lightly picking it up, she suddenly heard a voice. "Oh hello there, I'm guessing this is yours?" she said with a giggle as she gently reached out her hand extending the page in the young mans direction. Strickenized SO sorry I totally missed this quote. x3

Luckily the girl took notice of the paper without reading it. She looked oddly dressed for the height of summer, but he supposed that modesty won out over practicality to some teens. Was she a teen? She looked rather young regardless.
"It is." Shale tried to scrape his own hair back from the errant breeze but found little success - unruly ends constantly escaped his grasp until he gave up on the endeavor altogether. He took the page from her grasp and unfolded it against his leg to straighten out some of the creases, but his efforts mattered little in the midst of the breeze. "I didn't mean for it to escape. It's difficult to keep papers during the windy season." She looked like she didn't particularly care; her mind might've been on other subjects or papers assaulting her were no terrible bother.
The blonde looked like she had her own reading to do, so further interaction would prove interruptive. "Didn't mean to bother you."

Amigar took a quick glance at the person before you. While he was dressed a little different than herself he looked pretty nice and his style definitely fit him.
As she thought of her own outfit she realized it was kinda out of place. Then again pretty much everyone looked different than her. After all her mother didn't think of the forecast when she brought her new designer clothes. She quietly shook her head and listened to what the person whose paper landed on her had to say.
"I can definitely understand that my recipes always tend to fly away in the wind." she said with a giggle as she smiled towards him. His hair kinda looked like it wanted to go everywhere like her own that was blowing backwards. "This wind is kinda crazy today, huh? I mean it took your paper off running and I'm guessing its important?" She said towards as she then listened to his last words. she didn't mean it to be intrusive but she was known for saying the first thing that came to her mind.
"oh no your fine, I enjoy the company. After all it's better than being alone," which was honestly the truth if she could have helped it. She would be with friends or someone right now. Though in the beautiful day this was the only place she could think to come. After all this was the time of year everyone was super busy, but it also was a time when crazy things like attacking blowing papers happened too.

Shale never put much thought to recipes, let alone studying them outside. From what he gathered at Porsha's apartment, recipes were commonplace. He hadn't quite started into their use on his own, though - mostly he stuck to experimentation or age-old memorized dishes.
"It's getting ridiculous, but there won't be rain." Shale looked toward the sky while he pinched his papers between taut lips. He busied himself with retying his ponytail to hopefully restrain more of his hair. It didn't help much, he found, as each strand picked a different direction to follow. After reclaiming the papers from his mouth, he folded them in half for easier retention while he listened to the blonde. Ridiculous was right - was there a storm coming through, or did this wind come off the river? He hadn't spotted the look of rain anywhere. Shale refrained from trying to figure it out.
"They're important," he volunteered, drawing attention to the papers, "but so are taking breaks." He already allowed his responsibilities to overwhelm him, and a quick command from Laurelite personally placed the lot of his efforts into perspective. Resuming his research after a quick break to chat sounded relatively benign; the time lost here would make up for itself in better productivity.
Shale took the social cue concerning company to stick around, though he did not yet sit. "Did you come out here for a reason?" The question sounded stilted, but he was uncertain how to phrase it otherwise. Socialization did not receive much attention when he grew up.

Amigar had honestly never met anyone like this before. Since he had her curiosity peaked from the start when she noticed those papers. Though he seemed nice and she really did enjoy the company. It definitely didn't hurt to have someone to speak with even if they were just a quick passerby-er out on their own mission.
"Well that's good I'm glad to hear there won't be any rain. Since I'd be afraid of my recipes getting wet," she said with a happy tone. Her recipes were very important to her. Since once you have a recipe just right, you never know how long it will be again that you can get it the exact same way. Well without writing it down of course.
"Ah important well guess we both have stuff that's important to us in our papers then," she replied with a nod of understanding before continuing, "Breaks definitely are. That is actually my reason to why I came out here. I was letting my baking or job overwhelm my time." Which wasn't wrong. Since while her parents were gone her families bakery was entirely her responsibility. She just sometimes forgot to try and not let her baking or her families baking overwhelm her entirely. As her dad would tell her - Have some fun.
Realizing she was lost in thought a bit she decided to ask him some stuff. Since it seemed like right now she was the only one talking. "So were you out here for a certain reason or just for those papers?" She asked it kindly and couldn't wait to hear his response. The main thing she was excited about though is her shyness hadn't kicked in yet. Which she was beyond thankful for.Strickenized sorry I just got out of the hospital. >< Getting super sick is no fun though I'm back and my reply's will be quick I promise!

Recipes provoked a personal interest within the hunter, given how often he volunteered his time to cooking. Idly he wondered what recipes she might have on hand, and whether he could make use of them. "What recipes are those?" Half of him expected that she may not want to share - chefs of Destiny city often treated their recipes as some secret to success - but he would not be averse to such a reaction. 'None of your business' became the equivalent answer to never having asked.
"I can relate to that." Hadn't his Negaverse duties done much of the same? The expectations set for himself in pursuing Negaverse goals wrenched so much of his free time from him that he had nary a minute to make proper food for himself, let alone find enough time to sleep properly. "It's easy to pool all your time into responsibility." And Destiny City's culture often rewarded for such workaholic tendencies. However, the toll exacted from such measures was readily apparent to the hunter.
Shale sank into a crouch, as her continued questioning meant that he might linger there for a time. Hands tucked loosely between his legs, the rumpled paper still caught between fingers, while he spoke. "I used to spend a lot of time outdoors. I thought it might bring some peace to sit outside for a while. And it did, though not as much as I hoped. It isn't the same as engaging in the activities that kept me outside." How long had it been, now, since he shot his bow? He felt that he spent much too long away from his primary hobby, and now undoubtedly suffered from rustiness at a sport he enjoyed thoroughly. Was the progress he garnered in return worth its price? Hindsight indicated otherwise; he scoffed at himself.
"If you're studying recipes, then I wonder if your baking job is still overwhelming your time. Have you considered focusing on something else for a while?"chi honda don't worry, work and school and my own hospital trip kept me busy. hope you're feeling better though!

Just the mention of her recipes and her face lit up like a child in a candy store.
"Oh these they are some recipes for Paris-Brest, Kouign amann, and red velvet cupcakes," Amigar said with a smile. She held out her recipe sheets for him to look at. Since she didn't mind sharing her recipes. Most thought she was crazy for that, but in her eyes it wasn't the recipe that made a dessert. It was the heart that was baking it. For two people could make the same dessert recipe, and it taste completely different. Since they are purely a reflect of the person baking them and how they want them to come out.
She nodded, and smiled a bit. "I will say its nice someone understands. I mean who knew being responsible was so crazy. Its almost like you're afraid you'll fall behind if you don't work all the time." which was exactly how she felt. She knew people were baking and creating new recipes daily, plus with her scout duties it was almost like there wasn't enough time in the day. Sometimes she even found herself almost going out to battle with an apron on or frosting on her face.
She watched as he crouched down beside her. the wind around them began to give off a gentle breeze, not one that would ruffle either of their pages. It was nice talking to a human being for once. Since when was the last time she actually had an engaging conversation with someone. days, months, or a time she can't even remember. The day sure didn't have enough hours in the day.
"Well that makes sense, I actually thought being outside would help me. Though in reality I feel as if my hands still want to bake, I guess it's all that responsibility kicking in." she said with a slight giggle as she looked at the pages in front of her. She had baking on her mind and it never left no matter where she went. "What kind of activities did you used to engage in though?" she said out of curious since she would like to know a little bit more about the person she was talking too.
It was right after she said that she heard him mention it being overwhelming. She had never really thought of it that way. Since it was just part of the job wasn't it? Though then again how many things had see missed due to it. Hadn't she missed important things in high school like prom and things like that. It never even phased her till now.
"I actually never had...." she said thinking deeply until she responded, "You know you have some really smart ideas and thoughts." she meant that sincerely since for some reason she had never though of things like this till now. Not only that but she hadn't even noticed that not once was she to shy to talk - which was a definite first for her.
Strickenized Well thanks for understanding. I definitely am now everything is finally back to normal. or normal as can be. I hope you are feeling much better too! smile Oh and Sorry this is a little longer than i thought it would be.
