The skies were clear and the light from the sun made the sea sparkle like diamonds. On this calm day the pier had more activity than usual. Dozens of men grunted and groaned as they loaded a unique looking vessel with various crates and supplies. Today was a historic day because today was the day the famous archeologist Zoey Lockheart set out for her expedition to the hidden city of Atlantis. While the men continued to load the ship, Zoey stood at the sidelines with a clipboard in hand taking cout of the innovatory.
"Uggggh where are those DWMA students? I thought you said that you scheduled their arrival for 9:00 Am sharp Humphrey? If they don't arrive soon we will have to leave without them." Zoey said in a concerned tone.
"I apologize I will see what I can do." Zoey's faithful assistant answered
On the morning of the launch there was a certain fog of anxiety hanging, leftover from dreams of excitement which, as any explorer knows, annihilates sleep. With any luck Zoey's frustration would burn off that fog, but that mightn't be the case. It could be time, it could be some caffeine, which would be well earned, or it could be the warm smile Illo, a fellow explorer at heart, brought with him as he crossed the docks toward the fantastic ship there.
It looked like a bug, and Illo's appearance was just as arcane: his face obscured by his hood, his slow gait, his... silence. But he was ready to go. That was the way of the Phoenix: controlled spontaneity; the furious warrior spirit which burned so hot in him that every move and grain of his demeanor seemed cool.
"Are you the one called Zoey?" He asked coming to the side of the ship. "I am Illo. I'm the janitor at Shibusen. I heard you needed protection for a trip to Atlantis. I hope you will find me capable." His voice was calm and measured. He certainly didn't seem like a warrior, but there was something else there if one were to look closely.

Zoey was so busy dealing with the inventory that she hadn't notice that someone called her name. It wasn't until Humphrey tapped her on the shoulder that, she acknowledged the newcomer. Zoey remained silent for a brief moment. Even though the man's face was shielded by his cloak, Zoey stared at him intensely. It was almost as if she was staring at his very soul. After her brief inspection she quickly scribbled some notes down onto the pad on her clipboard.
"Ok he will do. Humphrey see to this man for me please." She said franticly.
"Zoey don't you think you should at least introduce yourself?"
Zoey let out an aggravated sigh, while squeezing the corners of her eyes.
"Hello I am Zoey Lockheart. I apologize for not giving you a formal introduction but we are behind schedule and there is still much to be done." Zoey paused as soon as she heard one of the workers drop a create. "Hey you dope! Be careful with that. If you break...." She yelled as she approached the worker.
"You will have to excuse her. Zoey is actually a sweet woman when you get to know her. Zoey get very serious about her work and this is mission will be the highest point in her career. Oh I'm sorry I never introduced myself. My name is Humphrey. It's a pleasure to meet you Illo. I will show to you quarters shortly but before that I need to get some information from you." Humphrey removed a small notepad from his pocket. "So Illo are you from the DWMA ? Also are you a Meister or a Weapon?" Humphrey questioned.
"..." Illo waited anxiously as Zoey looked him over. He hadn't had eyes on him like that since... Ever! How unnerving. He walked up the ramp and started helping Zoey's helper Humphrey with the cargo.
"I am. You can consider me a meister, but I would not. I am simply a warrior searching for Truth. I just happen to be accompanied by a weapon... Sometimes." His voice seemed to fade as he mentioned that last part. Within a few minutes he would spot the others coming
"Look."

Charlie Rabbit
Soon after jumping a lot to get here, she landed and looked around. She knows she arrived late but she was just in another mission before this one. She looked up towards the two males and one female, she would straight away think she is just a lone rabbit, who came up to them for a loving hug, but they would be quick to judge. She was there for the job of the protecter ad if you knew her well, she was a good one at that.
As the ship was preparing to get underway, a small girl dressed in a rather regal dress walked up, her high heels clicking across the wooden dock. She ignored the rabbit, thinking it was a rabbit and glanced at Illo. Is he some kind of manservant? She thought to herself in disgust. Around her were men doing the work of pack-mules as was their stations, grunting and clamoring as they loaded boxes full of whatever onto the ship. Her expression was a bored one as if she had only deigned to come because she had nothing better to do. After a moment of scanning the crowd she saw the only other halfway respectable looking person there. It was another female who seemed to be shouting at one of the dockworkers. She turned on her heel and slowly walked up to the woman. "Excuse me, Ms. Is this ship the "Blue Cruise" that will be visiting Atlantis?" She asked, looking up at the woman. "I believe I've secured passage on it." She spoke as though she were an important tourist rather than a member of the team though at least her tone wasn't hostile at the moment. For now she was genuinely curious as to what they would be doing. And the idea of glittery treasure in a hidden location was always enough to peak her interest. Her soul protect was on in full force and she wasn't interested in revealing her true identity quite yet. If they found out, oh well. Just as long as she could find something interesting there and take it back to place on her mantle. That was about the extent of her interest at the moment.
And in the end, all will kneel before me

A whistle was in the air by the time Blake showed up. With his bo staff in hand he walked up the pier. The day wasn't that bad in his mind, but with this escort being a mission worth a rare item things could go south at any point. Rather than help he'd jumped on board before taking a seat at the front of the deck. With his soul protect active there'd be no way to let loose unless deactivated, but that hardly even mattered. This time Blake had the chance to relax as a Meister, and would stay as such until the moment called for more. However, this team was less than what the he expected. A hooded man, a small rabbit, and equally small child. Shrugging at the site of this team Blake leaned back, resting his head in his hands.
As Illo spoke Humphrey quickly jotted down a few notes. Humphrey would have commented on Illo’s statement about being a warrior searching for truth but the arrival of a little white rabbit distracted him. Curiously Humphrey stared at the rabbit. At first he thought that the rabbit belonged to some lost child but there was no children present.
“Awe hello little one.” Humphrey said kneeling down to greet the rabbit. He slowly extended his hand forward hoping to pet the creature.
As Zoey continued to Bark out orders to the workers a soft yet aristocratic voice caught her attention. When Zoey turned around, she was surprised to find a young woman, who appeared to be dressed for some extravagant ball. Another DWMA student? Zoey thought to herself. Before answering the young lady, Zoey peered over at Humphrey, who was preoccupied with a rabbit.
“For heaven sakes Humphrey.” She said while massaging the corners of her eyes. “Hello, I’m Zoey Lockheart and I’m in charge of this expedition to Atlantis. This is indeed the Blue Cruise and I take it you’re from the DWMA?”
Zoey stared at the young woman intensely the same way she looked over Illo. Zoey raised an eyebrow as she inspected the young woman.
“Though you have a rather lovely attire, you do know that I’m only looking for individuals, who can provide protection for my research team correct?” She said in a polite but exhausted tone. “Please speak with my assistant Humphrey over there and he will get you registered.” Zoey was not trying to be rude, even though she might have come off that way, but there was still much work to be done.
Before Zoey could get back to the task at hand, she saw a young man hop aboard the ship and waltz on the deck as if he owned the place. Slightly flustered, Zoey’s cheeks turned red. She stared at the man from a distance the same way she did with the other two team members. After inspecting him she walked towards him. Without any hesitation, Zoey grabbed the man’s ear lobe and tugged it, so the man would stand up.
“Hey, hey, hey. Who do you think you are? I’m not looking to hire dead weight. If you’re here for the mission you have to register with my assistant Humphrey. Afterward he will put you to work.” Zoey shouted.
Zoey would have continued to shout but an eighteen wheeler truck pulled into the pier.
“Finally it’s here.” She said followed by a sigh of relief.

Charlie Rabbit
As one of the men bend down and try to pet her, slapped his hand away. She then spoke up with a little attitude." Don't you even dare try to pet me, sir I am not cute and fluffy what people think of me to be. Now I heard your the register guy so I will tell you a few things about me. I am Charlie Rabbit, Grarurated DWMA weapon, no meister. and if you don't think I can protect, I will break your back before those words can even come out of your mouth. Got it?"
There was a certain pleasure in being normal, conditionally that is; anyone with soul perception would see upon inspection of the hooded man his soul was diminutive even by non-meister standards. That is why his Phoenix title, affectionately, is Illo: little one. The bourgeois girl was right to overlook him, as he did her for without his soul perception even she had no soul at all, not even the one shielded by soul protect. Names might have been floating around, but they were inevitably lost in the sound and perhaps bounced up to the gull; my they loved to gossip without any cause; this is where they differed from humans (humanoids).
The other two: rabbit, and guy; they were of little concern to him. Though he did find the Rabbit a little funny, especially out of Bardo, he didn't giver her much attention. Instead the monk kept to his humble routine of blending into the crew, helping Humphrey and Zoey and her men load the vessel. New truck? Prepare to see martial artist endurance at work.
"Pardon, Zoey?" He didn't want her to snap at him. "Shall I load that as well?" He asked pointing to the big rig.

Not even three minutes after shutting his eyes did someone approach Blake. However the "approach" itself was rather intense. Some youthful lady lifted him by the ear, the same way his parents would back in the day. Keeping a stoical expression, the young Meister endured what would be one of many tongue lashings from his employer. When she was through Blake took her hand, gently removing it's grip from his ear before speaking. I can see why your world renown, a truly terrifying woman indeed. I apologize for resting but usually don't wake up for early assignments, I'll carry my weight and yours. Graduate Blake Crawler at your service. Soon an eighteen wheeler cruised by the pier before pulling in. What's in the truck? He'd ask whilst spinning his pole-arm between his fingers.
Fleur gave a slight bow of affirmation as Zoey asked her if she were from the DWMA. Yeah right! Well, she should play along for now. At least until the ship got underway. If they found out she was a Blackwing while they were in the middle of the ocean there wasn't a lot they could do about it now could they? Actually, that would be very funny; revealing she was a Blackwing while they were in the middle of the ocean with nowhere to go. She might just do that. Fleur raised an eyebrow at Zoey's next comment questioning her fitness as a guard. Wait, she was supposed to be a guard? She didn't really read the details of the mission since she only heard about it via rumor. Well! If it was a guard she wanted she got more than she bargained for! Could I protect them, ha! Give me a break! She thought. Child's play. She barely restrained herself from revealing her identity then and there. Instead she gave a small curtsey, her face a perfect mask of civility. "Fleur DeValentine, I believe I can manage," she assured her politely. She turned and walked towards the man with the unfortunate name of "Humphrey" to get herself registered or whatever. She ignored the trash-talking rabbit for the moment and faced Humphrey. "Excuse me sir, I'm here to register as a...guard for the voyage."Could she protect them? Yes. Was she going to? No.

As the participants for the mission began to assemble the cargo that Zoey eagerly awaited had finally arrived. An eighteen wheeler truck pulled up to the pier. When the back doors of the rig opened a gust of cold wind flew out. Several of the dock workers shivered from the extreme cold. It should have been obvious to everyone that the inside of the truck had to be really cold. Zoey immediately dropped everything she was doing to focus on the trucks cargo. In no time several men entered the truck and retrieved three large wooden crates. The crates were heavy and placed on specialized motorized jacks for safe transport.
“Hurry and get those crates into the freezer in the lower hull. Without those we cannot continue this expedition.” There was an obvious sense of urgency and concern within Zoey’s voice.
Thanks to the constant micro managing by Zoey the crew was able to safely secure the three wooden crates in the ship’s freezer in the lower decks. Having secured her precious cargo, Zoey took a deep breath and gathered her crew.
"Raise the anchors we set sail in 5 minutes."
((Sorry for the delay guys I have been waiting for one more member but we may have to start without her.))
Good, we can finally get started. Perhaps I can find peace on the way.
Illo
The loading done, the monk would finally get his chance to relax. He could have done so earlier, but he always held it noble to share the toiling of others; joyfully participating in the sorrows, as they say.
He found a spot to be by himself inside the Blue Cruiser. There he would begin meditating. Water was everywhere, and thus it was the perfect place to get centered. This would be fun, as long as no one disturbed him.
"I will be inside if I am needed," he said as he entered the vessel.
