A series of mine entrances which all eventually lead to one very large chamber. The chamber, which has been sealed for as long as any inhabitant of Vein Town can remember, is blocked by a series of spells and enchantments which prevents anyone from going further into it.

After the doom of Yuran, many of the explosions have damaged the seals, which could not take the pressure of the crumbling cave. A large amount of heat now emanates from the mine entrances, coming from the chamber. Torches are against the walls to light up the dark mine.

The chamber itself is immense; magma flows in small pockets. Yeah. That.

With each increasing step, Cassandra's strength slowly returned to her, though her strength wasn't what worried her. Nearly everyone who accompanied them were noncombatants. Cassandra herself wasn't all that well versed in combat, but she could hold her own in a battle if needed. Mason, however, knew fairly well how to hold a blade. His combat expertise allowed him to be the only one in the village capable of fending the creature off, and for that, the villagers greatly respected him. They followed him without so much as a word of defiance or doubt. His ability to rally the villagers was even greater than Auriel's, which kept her from persuading them to leave. No... This was their home. Their battle. While he'd allow Cassandra and Auriel to fight alongside him -- mostly because they refused to leave -- he wouldn't allow them to undermine him. They were so close to finishing this, and he wouldn't allow two Valkyries to take the glory. If it belonged to anyone, it'd be someone from this town. "We're getting close..." He called back. The smell of burning coal grew more and more intense, alongside the heat.

Remaining close to Mason, with Auriel in hand, Cassandra glanced often at him. Everything about him screamed off. His tactics. His reasoning. Whenever she glanced at him, she felt uneasy, especially with his willingness to allow so many to lead to their deaths. Each soul that accompanied them was simply going to distract Cassandra and Auriel from the actual fight. As much as she hated to admit it to herself, she could not manage so many people at once, even with her gifts. There would be death, and it would take as long as it had for her to recover from Pronta's destruction. As much as she and Auriel tried to argue, Mason merely shot them down. The people listened to him like he was their savior. But the reality was that Mason was just a man, and even he was not assured his safety. So many lives... and it was up to the two of them to keep them alive. Turning her gaze to Auriel, she finally broke her silence. "This is... not how I wanted to start everything. The conditions... How many lives need to be lost in this battle? But then I take into account every Mason told us... I... I can't believe I'm saying this, but maybe this isn't something we can take on ourselves, Auriel." As she spoke, Mason called out to alert the group that he had the mine entrances in sight. Slowly, but surely, over the small hill, she had spotted a large pit of darkness surrounded by solid granite. As she peered around, there were several of these entrances that led steeply down into one larger system. As the group continued on, Cassandra stopped, halted in her tracks. Whatever they were facing... was down there. They'd be trapped down there if anything happened. A part of her wanted to try and convince everyone to leave. If they all left the town, the beast would have nothing to attack, save for an abandoned city. When Mason realized she had stopped, a smirk grew on his smug, bearded face. A single glance of it was enough to bring out enough fury for Cassandra to step out of her paralysis, speed walking to the front of the group. Within seconds, darkness drenched over their bodies.

                                              Until light prevailed.

When Cassandra opened her palm, a single ball of light formed, illuminating the dark and barely lit cave. Fearlessly, she continued onward. Each step growing steeper and steeper until the ground beneath her felt as if it were pulling her down. As gravity tried to do its work, Cassandra fought it, carefully allowing herself to walk down the elongated path. It didn't take long before the heat began to get the best out of most of the group. Cassandra often found herself using her dirtied white sleeve to wipe off the occasional bead of sweat.

                      • Celestial Right
The first boost is a whopping +2 Rank in Strength to all Cleric skills. Especially the heals. The Minor Heal receives the effects of a Normal Heal, and the Normal Heal receives the effects of an Expert Heal. The Expert Heal can now even regrow a head, should they need to be healed, and removes all poisons from the body regardless of rank and power. The second ability is simple. It allows Cassandra to be able to heal herself as soon as she is hit without being consciously aware of it. Her body simply jacks up its own regeneration rate to an everlasting expert heal.

                      • Keep Going
The Valk's, in comparison to others, are capable of slight regeneration which begins just as soon as the blow was taken. Bruises and scraps won't even appear making it seem as if their skin is tougher than others. Trainees can deal with simple cuts. Novice can deal with simple cuts and first degree burns. Adept can deal with cuts, second degree burns, and fractured bones. Experts can deal with deep lacerations and broken bones. Masters can heal third degree burns, wounds such as stabs(only on surface, not internal damage), and crushed bones.

Their weapons surge with their latent energy which makes any weapon they touch, especially their chosen one, both covered in holy light and electricity. This leads to anyone locking blades or striking the shield of a Valkyrie feel small shocks that ward people off from staying in contact with them for too long. This also makes unholy enemies take an extra rank of damage on top of the lightning damage. However for the lightning to be in effect you must have more than half your energy remaining within you.

                      • Child of Jarnbjorn
When a Valkyrie choses a weapon to specialize in, that weapon becomes gifted by holy power and works much like Thor's Mjolnir and Jarnbjorn. It will nigh automatically come to the call of the Valkyrie, cannot be destroyed, and always has the extra lightning damage going on it regardless of energy level. When attacking with that weapon, they gain an extra +1/+1 to their stats. You get one of these, so choose carefully. This weapon should get its own custom abilities, and if it does it must be approved.

                      • Feast of Ambrosia
Once per battle the Valkyrie can hold their hand out and summon a goblet full of ambrosia. Upon consumption, this otherwordly substance will heal and cure any wounds and debilitations the Valkyrie may be suffering. This will not regenerate any lost limbs or organs, but it will immediately close wounds. No energy is regained from this, it merely gives the Valkyrie a better chance to continue fighting.

                      • The Sight
Being of God's blood, like God, they can see the world for what it truly is. They can see through ''the Mist" and see those for what they are. Instantly recognizing creatures of the night on spot or those who can use dark magic for they can read the aura's about them. Also giving them a general idea of how strong another is regardless of race. (Rank-wise, not as precise to be know the exact amount in the other energy pool.)

This was not right. The valkyrie could not shake the damning feeling that they were being marched in to their doom. As the last rays of light disappeared the deeper they entered the mine hope began to fade from her. Her hand was tightening around Cassandra's, a subconscious action to echo the discontent in her heart. The mood was somber. Everyone had a grim look on their face. Children clung to mothers and men clung to weapons that would not hold in battle, all the while clinging to any shred of faith they had left in their leader. Golden eyes swimming in molten emotion bore holes in to the back of Mason's head. Every part of her body was aching to forcefully turn away the townsfolk and find out why this man was so willing to lead them straight to death. These people had suffered enough. There was no reason for them to walk through this mine and be sentenced to an early grave. Her mood worsened with each step they took. When Mason spoke Auriel widened her stance for a moment and stopped moving. It felt like he had spoken an epitaph or a line to a dirge, and it deeply unsettled Auriel. It was a very welcome sight to her when Cassandra created a ball of light. A rush of warmth filled her then though it was hardly enough to quell the rising tide of anxiety within her. That only worsened when her companion shattered the eerie silence and spoke quietly. Auriel felt as if she was being tested. She never wanted to appear weak in front of this woman and it took all she had not to show just how nervous about what they were walking towards.

Auriel knew that false bravado was just as terrible as being a coward. Leading others blindly would only cause their downfall. She did not want to lie to Cassandra. "I understand your fears, and I think I share them. Yet we cannot relent in this upcoming battle. Cassandra, I will fight til the last breath leaves my lungs and I am nothing more but I need you at my side. With you I can stand against the entire world. Without you..." The sentence would be left unfinished for a number of reasons. At that time she could no longer bare to look in to Cassandra's eyes, for she knew that weakness had filled her. Just then Mason shouted out some cry of awareness that changed the game. Before she knew it Auriel actually had her sword drawn, fingers grasped on to the wire-wrapped hilt. Every battle-related sense of hers was on fire and she wanted nothing more than to turn and leave. No part of her valkyrie self would ever allow that. Auriel did her best to stay in front of Cassandra who seemed so sure footed right now. Her little light was all there was that kept the darkness at bay. Beneath her armor the heat was building and sweat formed under the platemail. She allowed hersef no chance to ease her discomfort and instead focused solely on keeping everyone she could alive.

As the trek down the mine felt like it'd gone on for hours, perhaps due to the increasing heat rising from below, many in the group grew weary. Yet, they did not stop. Their mutterings ceased as they neared the chamber in which many would meet their end. As silent as they were, they faces grew blank. Any traces of fear that once had been engraved on their heavy faces seemed all but lost, along with any sense of individuality. It wouldn't take long before the group began to march in unison, as if they were imitating someone. Their feet rising and dropping in unison, all other noises drowned out until they eventually faded. Noticing the lack of frantic speaking and worried sighs and pants, Cassandra finally glanced over her shoulder to see a familiar sight, though odd in this setting. The townspeople, civilians, were sloppily marching in unison. Each step they took had been in step. She had been momentarily reminded of the drilling she had to learn when she first enlisted. The Knight in charge of her platoon, shouting out commands, controlling their direction and every action. Every now and then, his voice had called cadence. Left. Left. Left, right, left. A knight was capable of rallying his soldiers, often serving as military leaders where others could only help but follow.

The feeling was eerily similar. But as similar as it was, it seemed... it all seemed like Mason's abilities were going too far. How strong was he, really? While she marched under the command of her platoon leader, her face had never looked so blank. It looked as if their will had been sapped from their bodies, and no matter what Cassandra had tried, they remained unresponsive. Calling out to them was about as useless as physically prodding them. Looking back to Auriel, Cassandra knew that Auriel had most likely noticed the same thing. It was then that Cassandra heard the first voice that had spoken in several minutes. The words came from Mason, the only inhabitant of the town that looked...

Better than normal. Mason's complexion had returned to him, it seemed like he had gained his strength back and more. Every other soul in the mine had been silenced, their skin growing paler and paler by the second as they marched to battle. But... Mason looked as if he had just awoken from a beauty rest. When he called out that they were close, a chill ran down her spine. His words were... cold. A small painful feeling washed over her body, like several needles scattered around her body, breaking skin and merely staying there. The mild discomfort set her senses on fire, the added heat bringing the mild pain higher and higher until it had become almost crippling. Still, she clenched Auriel's free hand, and continued. Only seconds later, and after several more minutes of aimlessly walking, the dimly lit cave had noticeably gotten brighter, as if a huge torch was somewhere nearby. The slope of the ground they tread on had lessened greatly since they had first entered the cave. For the first time since they arrived, it had finally felt like they weren't plunging into the unknown.

It didn't take long before Cassandra finally spoke out; they were beyond the small tales Mason todl them before they set out. Everything about the situation screamed that it was wrong. The fact that all of these people had to be here; the fact that they were headed to the home of this creature instead of allowing it to come to them... all of it. With hushed words, and a calm realization that the reason they lowered themselves here could've very well have been a suicide mission. Did Mason bring them all here in hopes that they could seal this creature away? "No more lies... what do you hope to accomplish here? What is wrong with everyone? W-... please tell me what is going on." Despite every question he asked, Mason refused to glance in her direction. He had no issue with responding to her. With a solemn voice, he answered her. "I took their pain away. I could feel it... it was like the smell of bleach in the air; hard to ignore. They... they needed me. This town. When I came to it... they needed my help, and I was so happy to give it to them."

"Before I knew it, they relied on me. The training I provided... they even looked up to my little girl. Trained since she could carry my old blade. You should've seen how they adored her! She was the only thing that I had left. To see her smile again... I'd do anything." As the same aura of pain would soon wash over Auriel, a sudden jolt would straighten their spines and a strange feeling would take hold. Their muscles stiffened, their limbs moved, yet it hadn't been a command they had given themselves. It had only taken a second before they lost complete control over their bodies, and they would soon find themselves marching in unison with the others. Mason continued speaking as if he was doing absolutely nothing. "You know... when everyone started running away last night, convinced that they needed to escape while they could, they left my daughter alone. My little girl, against that... thing. Before I could even react, it's blade pierced her little body like butter, and seconds later, her body burned to ashes. My world... gone." His words began to slur as his emotions began to overwhelm him. Tears, indistinguishable from sweat, cascaded down the man's eyes before he quickly used his hand to wipe his face off, throwing the mix of tears ad sweat to the ground.

"Do you know what it's like to lose the one person who thought the world of you? Who could look at you with utter awe, and never feel disappointed?... Don't answer that... I don't care." Only meters ahead, the source of the heat and light became clear. What used to be a wall that blocked any further mining was now a gaping hole in the wall with a pile of rubble at its feet. As they passed under the crudely shaped archway, they stepped into a brilliantly lit chamber that seemed to go on endlessly. As far as she could see, channels of magma ran through the ground, marvelous stones aligned the walls endlessly. "So after they left my daughter to die, I was paralyzed. She was everything to me... and in a matter of seconds, he turned her to ash." Turning to face his crowd, Mason easily walked backwards as words continued to pour through his mouth. "You'd think I'd be next right? That my fate would be the same as Adrienne's... as my daughter's? I thought so, too. Hell, I begged it to kill me. Then... I heard my daughter's voice again. In this... hell, I heard her voice. I saw her, too! He showed me where she was. Purgatory. He didn't kill her, not really! She's waiting for me. And he'd bring her to me if I did one thing. Just one small task, then I'd be able to see her again. I-I just had to bring him those who ran away. He'd bring her back with the souls of the rest of the townspeople. He assured me they would die, that we would all die anyways! So if I could bring them to him... save him the trouble... he would grant me what I want most. Adrienne.. by my side again."

In unison, they halted. The silence that came after that was perhaps the most frightening part. The utter horror that invaded Cassandra's mind as she realized she had allowed this all to happen. How stupid had she been!? Then, the silence broke as he spoke once more, not addressing the group as a whole this time, but rather the two Valkyries who tagged along. "You two were never a part of this. I tried to get you both to leave, but you insisted... I suppose that I could offer you separately. Maybe he would spare some of the other townspeople after seeing soldiers of Michael. Well... we could only hope." Against their will, their bodies would walk themselves several feet from the others. Seating themselves on the hot to the touch ground, they were simply there to watch as the events unfolded, incapable of speaking. As Mason shouted words in Demonica, a language that Cassandra only knew little of, a black fog consumed the crowd of mindless townspeople. Their complexions growing paler and paler as Mason drew power from their pain.

As the black fog began to concentrate into a point in front of him, it began to take the form of a humanoid. Flares jumped out of the fog as it condensed. From the endless pit, Mason drew the very creature who had taken his daughter from him, who had plagued this town for so long. Features began to take form as the incantation neared its end. A dark, rough skin, its body completely exposed, though there was nothing really to hide. Horns protruded from the beast's head. As it's muscled arms formed, a single blade formed along with them, long than his own arm, the blade radiated heat unlike any other weapon any mortal would encounter. "Abraxas..." He spoke breathlessly. With eyes as deep and endless as the chamber they were in, the demon gazed at the mortal who summoned him. No words came from the demon, not a single look of pleasure or the slightest hint of happiness. "I brought them to you as we agreed. The rest of the souls that fled from you for my daughter back. That was our deal." With a nod, Abraxas acknowledged the deal he made with the mortal. More souls in exchange for a service he had no control over. In a harsh tone, he responded in demonica, "I will reunite you with your daughter." In a swift movement, his blade pierced Mason's flesh, the demon's blade protruding out of Mason's back. Abraxas had held up his part of the deal, he would allow the mortal to become a part of the demon, just as his daughter had become. They would be together. Forever.

Slowly, the crowd, including Cassandra and Auriel, would regain control of their bodies. As the townspeople realized where they were after almost an hour of being controlled, several shouts of horror erupted from the crowd as they spotted the demon who tormented them for so long. After sensing a... less than pleasing aura coming from two different sources, Abraxas, with his hellfire gaze, looked directly at Cassandra and Auriel before he acted. Before they truly had a chance to move, Abraxas' form shifted into a gaseous state, immediately surrounding the townspeople before they could even lift one of their legs. A single piercing, shrill childlike scream pierced the shouts of terror from the crowd as a young girl, enveloped in terror, realized what would. From her first memory until now, she had never recalled thinking that her last experience on this world would end in...

Before she could even finish her thought, her life had been snuffed out as the black fog that enveloped the entire group had erupted in brilliant flames, any life within the fog now cleansed, without a single trace left for anyone to realize that there were people standing in that spot. As their lives had been taken, so had their souls. Each soul strengthening the source of the black fog, Abraxas.

When Mason met his end, Cassandra had felt every bit of pain he felt. A blade rushed through her heart, bringing pain unlike anything she had ever felt before. When his body disintegrated, his hold on her faded, and yet she remained paralyzed when she realized what was about to happen. Her body, limp, remained paralyzed from the first scream of terror she heard until the last second of the youngest girl's scream. Each death struck her enormous pain. Pain that she had no idea how to handle, or what to do with it. The pain came first, unbearable as it was, until her body fell numb. Wehn the black fog subsided and Abraxas reformed, there wasn't a single person left. No... ashes. Nothing. There wasn't even a trace that they had ever been there. Removed from play. The pain came first, then... came the rage that came horrifyingly natural to her, as if it were her second nature. Her body began to radiate energy on a scale she could have only assumed was capable by someone of much greater power than she had. Visible through the air, causing distortions as she projected an aura so strong it'd been able to bring about the fear of God even in the darkest of creatures, Abraxas included.

Numb tears escaped her eyes, as she was incapable of preventing them from doing so. "A-all of them... dead. Women... men... children. The little girl. The little girl... where is her light?!" The output of her energy increased further as she tapped into the power of her blood. "Her light. It's gone... it's gone." Slowly, she stood up, pushing herself off the ground with ease. "You... you took her light..." Her words echoed.

Deeper, darker, danker. The further in to this wretched mine they walked the less Auriel spoke or even paid attention to what was happening. It was strange how completely okay she was with the silence. At first it sent a chill down her spine. The people being herded like cattle had lost all semblance of self. The formerly crying children had given way to silent and expressionless marionettes. Storm-blue eyes swept the crowd searching for anything normal. A few times she called out to them, to anyone who would listen. Her words fell on deaf ears. She tried speaking to Cassandra but the will eked out of her. The shield wrappings around her arm felt so tight and the metal all too heavy. There was no more strength to lift a blade or even grip it tightly. It's sharp tip dragged through the ground, clanking upon rocks and cutting a jagged line in the stone. The armor weighed her down more than it ever had but she felt no inclination to remove it. Only to continue on. How long had it been since she felt the warmth of the valkyrie's hand in her own? Or even the gentle bumping between the two shuffling along? Auriel did not know, and she did not care.

                                              No. Of course she cared.

Auriel would never make a vow within herself and break it so easily. It was not until someone else's voice cut through the silence. It was Mason. He turned back to the people and called out to them. Glazed eyes refocused slowly through a series of blinks that brought her mind back. The leader of the group looked absolutely radiant. He seemed full of life and energy, as if he had literally sapped the source that kept them human out of his followers. The young valkyrie wanted to reach up and touch her own face to feel if it was as gaunt as the rest of them but her hand never raised. When finally Cassandra's words sliced through the haze that had consumed Auriel's senses she was shocked to see where they ended up. Right away she was mostly in front of the other woman, stepping in between her and mason. Every bone in Auriel's body was aching to end this and turn to run, something was building up in the air that was making it hard to breathe. Her chest heaved up and down the further Mason got in to his story and it was so hard to listen to. This feeling inside of her was not something any valkyrie was accustomed to. It was fear. Her body was partially turned, legs spread as if ready to take off in a sprint. From left to right she looked, first at Mason and then to the way form which they come. With her shield hand she reached out to Cassandra and took a single step to run through the crowd before she could not move anymore. An invisible force was gripping her and preventing any type of movement. Auriel was visibly straining against this impediment.

The muscles in her body flexed and her teeth gritted painfully yet nothing productive happened. And then her own physical being betrayed her. Panic swelled up in the halfling as they marched onward deeper in to a horrow story. Mason's words were blending in with the pounding coming from inside of her head. She could not give up. Even when they were sat on the ground every fiber of her being was fighting in a skirmish to have whatever it was compelling her relinquish its hold over her. A scream of rage built in her throat but it was stuck, just as she was. With the inability to act even in the slightest Auriel could do nothing but watch. There were no words that could describe what she felt when the fog whisked away everyone except the two of them. The life left her eyes and it seemed that she too had been taken by Abraxas. She could not even close her eyes, that image was to be forever etched in to her memory as the day she failed an entire town of people. Even after Cassandra acted out of fury she did not move. Auriel looked down at her reflection in the shield meant to protect the innocent. What she saw was pathetic, someone incapable of saving a single soul. Slowly pushing herself up to a stand, fingers clenched around her blade. Her life meant nothing if vengeance was not given to those who were sacrificed for nothing. With reckless abandon the valkyrie charged at full speed, brandishing her sword and shield raised. The look in her eyes as she passed Cassandra would be clear in meaning; Either Abraxas would die here tonight, or Auriel would.

Auriel's charge didn't come as a surprise to the demon; everyone always tried the head on charge first. But the Valkyrie would soon realize why the demon's power had to be contained for so long. What it'd taken for him to get sealed in the first place... several magi fought against him and sealed his power, yet two Valkyries assumed they could come and spill some holy water and the demon would go away. In his hands, his blade shifted, rapidly transforming into a long stave, the gem at the pommel of the blade shifting to the top of the newly formed stave. While she slowly charged, Abraxas' mind processed it all in a different speed, his infinitesimally greater than hers. A forcecage, invisible to all but him, erected around the three of them, limiting movement and the idea of a possible escape. Before Auriel could even get within 10 feet of the demon, large hands made up of pure energy, each 25 feet in length, would come crashing into the charging Valkyrie, the forcecage limiting her options, she could try and take the hands head on, at which point Abraxas would simply channel his potent energy into it further, or she could accept the attack. "This does not concern you Valkyrie. The souls owed to me have been paid. You can continue the pointless assault, which will end with your lifeless bodies on the ground, or you can give this idea that you can actually do any kind of damage to me." The other Valkyrie, she merely stood there, attempting to showcase her power, as if a healer had any true power. No, she wasn't the one to watch; the paladin was.

Even when Auriel ran past her, Cassandra never moved. Her brilliantly blue eyes merely stared at Abraxas. How twisted this soul had truly become? To have fooled a good man into sacrificing the lives of the people he once wanted to protect, promising him the life of his fallen daughter... it was a deed Cassandra would never be able to overlook. Her passive tendencies had finally come to a halt, and her hand would finally be forced into action. Seeing the Mage Hands coming to assault Auriel, she acted quickly. Taking a firm stance, she charged her own holy energy into the forcecage, sending flashes of bright white everywhere, she overloaded the cage with energy, causing it to degrade and finally crumble. When it seemed like it'd all be too close for Auriel, the magic hands would halt, stopped by what seemed like... a thin white barrier. In actuality, the barrier was more of a square chamber that'd protect Auriel from almost any attack. "Auriel! I've got your back, don't worry about a th-..." Before she could finish speaking, a tugging at her arms would prevent her from finishing her sentence. The tugging was a result of the demon placing his firm grip on her clothed arm. Slowly realizing the situation she was in, a brief scream escaped her mouth before she'd been silenced. In a fluid motion, he gripped harder, crushing the bones in her forearm before pulling her light body, sending it crashing into the ground. With a deafening crack, his stave came crashing down onto the girl's exposed trunk, shattering ribs as if they were twigs. "Nothing." The demon teased as he looked back at Auriel.

Pain. Unlike any other she had ever felt. It was like every bone in her body had been snapped into several hundred pieces. A valkyrie could take a lot of damage, certainly, but there was a point where many deemed was the point of no return. Cassandra had passed it the moment her body crashed into the hard, solid ground. Her ulna was shattered, nearly every superficial bone in the trunk had been damaged. And yet... the second his hand shattered her ulna, the bones in her arm already sought to repair themselves. What other valkyries knew as regeneration came slightly different to Cassandra. The healer took no precaution when it came to her wellbeing, and while it certainly took a great deal out of her, the increased regeneration would act as potent as any Lycan's regeneration would. It'd only taken seconds for the girl to recover from the life threatening state. But with Abraxas still near her, her options were limited. What she needed was a weapon, perhaps on that one of the deceased villagers carried. It was then that she spotted a longbow not too far in the distance. From the way it was covered in ashes, it must've been there for some time, perhaps from one of the first few raids.

Suddenly, a wave of energy poured out of the demon's body, sending the limp Cassandra flying yards away, Auriel would still be safe in the potent barrier; a sign that the healer was still, in fact, alive. With her being so near to the bow, she outstretched her hand, attempting to grab at it. Outstretching her fingers, she still could not reach it. Every aspect of her being desperately wanted to be able to reach it, and yet... she knew that Abraxas would soon turn his gaze upon her once more. When she began to feel the demons gaze burning a hole through her back, a spark shot through her spine. Through her fingertips, lightning shot out and connected to the longbow, moving it closer and closer into the Valkyrie's hands until she finally grabbed a hold of the longbow. As if by some sort of calling, the bow before her changed before her eyes. Lightning surged through the bow into channels, creating intricate designs across the bow. Desperately looking for some form of ammunition, Cassandra found merely three rusty iron tipped arrows. The second she placed her hands on one of them, the rust faded away, giving the arrow head, and even the shaft, a refined look. Before giving the demon time to react, Cassandra drew back her bow menacingly. Her form was precise, as if she had never halted her training in archery. With grace, she stood in her place, ready. "A single moment will not pass where I will allow such brutal disregard for life. They were not just sacrifices. They were people! I will not walk away. I will not allow you to continue like this..." When she glanced over at Auriel, she motioned for the Valkyrie to continue her assault, but to do so cautiously. There was much to Abraxas that the two did not know about.

Those who have a higher strength rating than 10 are able to resist it, but still receive the initial blunt damage.

Creatures within the area are caught and contained. Teleportation and other forms of astral travel provide a means of escape, but the force walls or bars extend into the Ethereal Plane, blocking ethereal travel that many ghosts can do. An energy based of equal or greater power will destroy the cage.
