:: GUIDE FOR NEW MEMBERS ::

First off: Welcome to Bleach: Ascendance! biggrin

Hopefully you'll be able to find friendly guild members, hard working Crew members and some fun people to RP with here. This is the first stop for people that are new to the guild and aren't sure what to do first.

:: First Steps ::

The first steps is getting to know where things are located in the guild and what you should do first.

1) If you want to introduce yourself to the guild and see what some of the other guild members are like, you can visit the New Member Introductions topic to say hello.

2) Next would be to familiarize yourself with the Guild Rules. Breaking these rules will, depending on the severity, result in warnings, restrictions and possibly even banning.

3) Finally, familiarize yourself with some of the Resources that are used in the guild or that will aid your in your role-playing.

:: Creating a Character ::

Okay, so you read the rules, possibly introduced yourself and have the resources ready for RPing! Well, you'll need to create a character first to be able to do so.

1) Have a look at the list of Character Classes that are available to the guild to try and see which class would fit your character concept the best.

2) Once you've chosen your class go to the Profile Approvals topic, copy the profile skeleton of the class you've picked and post it filled in with your characters information. A member of the Crew will have a look at it and, provided everything is in order, approve it and add it to the appropriate topic in the Character Profiles sub-forum.

3) If your starting class has any special Class Rewards associated to it, they'll need to be posted and approved in the Class Rewards Request topic. Follow the information in that topic and members of the Crew will look over it and deny/approve it as needed.

:: Role-Playing ::

So, you've read up on the rules, you've created your first character and now you are ready to role-play! Well, the question of where to role-play is one you might have, so here are some answers! smile

1) Depending on your character's class, the location where they would "start" at would be different. If you are a Shinigami, you'd start in the Soul Society sub-forums; a Hollow would start in the Hueco Mundo sub-forum; a Blank would be in the Valley of Screams sub-forum; an Elf or Necromancer would begin their adventures in the Alfheim sub-forum; and finally, every other class would head to the Earth sub-forum.

2) Once in the proper sub-forum, you can pick and area to start in and begin your RP. Important areas to keep an eye out for are the ones that have [TRN] in front of them. These are training areas where your character can learn various skills and abilities. Just look for the area with your chosen class in parenthesis at the end, like this: (Shinigami). So for example, the training area for Shinigami would look like this: [TRN] Shin'ō Academy (Shinigami). Please note: Some of the techniques in these areas aren't completely finalized yet and either are being looked at or will be finalized soon. For the most part, the words required to learn techniques and the ability itself will remain the same.

3) You can have your character role-play alone (in the beginning with less members or if people are busy and you don't want to wait) or you can have them role-play with other characters. In either case, try to make semi-literate posts containing at least 100 words. This not only helps to have more information for your possible partner to role-play in response to, but also makes the role-play a little more fleshed out in general. As a visual example, the text in red is exactly 100 words long and can be used as a rough estimation of the length we ask for when posting. You don't need to always reach 100 words every post, but consistently making posts that are barely over 50 words long is not something we'd like to have.
