Daniel Redmond Crane  Danny stepped into the dorm room, following his teammates in excitement. Finally, some time to relax and bond with his friends! Well, without being attacked or flung in anime peepshow scenarios, anyway. The centaur was glad that the school got a REALLY big couch for their room, as this one still had room for the others after he managed to sit on it. "So, what're we watching, Iris? I have a few movies, but some of them, I don't think would be fitting." He asked. A lot of Danny's movies were from his dad, usually being either old sci-fi stuff, horror movies, or the typical films that a young man wouldn't want to watch in a group setting. If anyone learned about his copy of Samurai Walrus Men, he'd kinda die on the inside. It was a guilty pleasure of his since he was a kid.

Cora entered the room and removed the shield from her arm, setting it respectfully down by her books. She and considered changing into more comfortable clothes, perhaps some pjs that she could snuggle into. She also considered wrapping a blanket around her shoulder for when the movie started, but she would decide for herself soon enough. She set down her food on her desk, where she expected to be able to study later, and when she was seated, she began to actually eat.
She was curious about the movie, though. Instead of asking, she waited for Iris' answer. Hopefully it was a lighter movie. There were a lot of dark shows that were popular these days, and some of the previews were enough to unsettle her. Well, it was just their team, right? Why would they watch anything that would make them nervous? ... If they did, couldn't they giggle about it?
.... Well, in the end, hopefully it would bring smiles.

Entering the room Danny picked out his seat on a over sized couch, a couch Iris' eyes glistened over like an excited puppy, and as Cora placed her items down Iris kindly laid out the choices of the evening; with Iris slightly curious as to why Danny's movies wouldn't be 'fitting'. "Well! We have...Jounry to the Center of Remnant , Mad Maximus , The Secret World of Alicia, The Starvation Tournaments or Romance of the Neighbouring Kingdoms." Five different adventure movies which they could vote for. The first movie is an adventure/comedy in where a man stumbles upon a secret underground world filled with wounderous creatures once thought extinct. The second movie is an action/adventure, packed with tons of awesome action, set in a desperate world with little to no resources where the story follows a man in search for a fabled promise land. The third movie is an adventure/fantasy, a sort of coming of age story of a teenaged boy visiting his mother's house for the summer and meeting a fairy girl whom he secretly spends time with while on his visit. The fourth movie is an action/adventure set in a bleak future where there is a tournament held every year which forces children to fight to the death; as a penitence for the territories attempting a revolution against the empire. The fifth and last movie was an action/adventure/romance with an emphasis on romance. The movie was an epic about three nobles of three different kingdoms, two of them boys with one of them a girl, and thier romantic struggles in a time of feudal war; from happy beginnings to heart wrenching demise.
"Which movie are you going to pick?" The island girl asked both of her friends, taking a seat on the floor Indian style, and eagerly awaited their answer; taking a savoury bite out of one of her many fried chicken legs on her plate in front of her.OOC:: Re-quotes!

Daniel Redmond Crane Danny perked up a bit as Iris went through the list of movies that she had. "Ooh! Mad Maximus! One of my friends back home said it was awesome! I gotta see that!" He said excitedly. Danny was a sucker for action movies...especially the ones with explosions and crazy stunts. Of course, this was a group vote, as Cora and Iris were part of the team. He was curious as to which one Cora would pick, though. Seeing her taste in movies might tell him more about the girl.

Cora picked up her clothes and had them slung over her arm as she heard a list of titles and also took in Danny's particular choice. Cora wasn't sure what Mad Maximus was about, and while she had heard something about the other titles, she couldn't say one she favored more than the other. She had seen Journey to the Center of Remnant once before. Intriguing movie. She had also seen The Starvation Tournaments, though the story did sadden her a bit. She had never been a particular fan of war, or the kind of slaughtering that seemed so glorified, even necessary, in that entire story. She did also recall preferring the books..... But that was a story for another time. She couldn't say that she had ever seen the others.
"What do I want to watch..." Cora echoed the question thoughtfully as she continued to ponder. She did like the idea of watching a movie she hadn't seen yet. She didn't have strong feelings concerning a possibility of being out-voted though. She had heard what Danny wanted to watch, and she had yet to hear Iris's preference. I wonder what her brother would want to watch....
She closed her eyes and manually redirected her thoughts to the question that had been presented her. "I haven't seen Mad Maximus, The Secret world of Alicia, or Romance of the Neighboring Kingdoms. I wouldn't mind seeing any of those."
Cora slowly excused herself to the bathroom to change into the comfortable sleepwear.

"I had a strong feeling you'd pick that one." She picked up the video case and waved it around playful as she addressed Danny. "It's a good one from the looks of it. Harthwin and I use to alternate picking out a movie during our weekends off and whenever it was his pick it was always something like this." Clearly Iris didn't have any objections to a good blow'em up movie but when she glance down her eyes were fixed upon the cover of the romantic action movie; "Romance of the Neighboring Kingdoms". Even though it is taught to be a warrior first and all things second on the island of Aztlán Iris still had the heart of a woman. Seeing the cover brought back some very lovely memories of Iris' first, and maybe last, romance...but it also stung her little heart with pains of loss.
"What do I want to watch..." Cora began pondering. Iris gave a small smile as she awaited to hear her best friend's pick but in her mind she also wondered what it was Cora would want to watch. She could kind of see Cora wanting to watch The Secret world of Alicia but Iris wondered if Cora's womanly heart was curious about the Romance of the Neighboring Kingdoms. More so, Iris was curious about Cora's own love life and how much she cared about it. Did Cora's heart care about romance? "I haven't seen Mad Maximus, The Secret world of Alicia, or Romance of the Neighboring Kingdoms. I wouldn't mind seeing any of those." finding her friend's choices to be interesting, Iris looked to Cora as she walked past to the restroom before grinning over to Danny. "Looks like you've got a good taste in movies, Danny," Iris now putting the movie into the CD Player "That, or you're good at reading a crowed." Grabbing the remote and sitting next to the stead, enjoying just how roomy the couch was built, Iris' eye were child like as she was glued to the tube and awaited for the previews were over with. "My brother Hartwin might have backed your choice if he were here. He loves action movies of all kinds. Actually, I think you and him would get along very well. Or maybe he'd get along better with Cora. They are both elder siblings and they both give off this air of nobility." Iris then looked at Danny with her bright blue eyes, gazing into his brown gaze for truth to his answer. "What do you think about Cora, Danny? Do you see her the same way as I do, or do you see her as something else?((OOC: Haha, I like that you all got the movie references.))

Daniel Redmond Crane Danny chuckled a bit as Iris mentioned her brother and their similar taste in movies. Iris seemed rather close to her brother. Danny was an only child, so he kind of envied that type of bond, in a way. He was kinda caught off guard by the islander's question on what he thought of Cora, though. That was a tough one. As he first met her at that dance a while ago, he thought of her as a fun, yet quiet acquaintance, and maybe someone to hit on in the future. This was before he got assigned to her team, however, and since then, he kinda saw Cora as more of a big sister, like Iris did. "Well, it's not as deep as what you think of her, but I kinda see her as a sister figure. Then again, I'm kind of an only child, so that's new for me." He said honestly. He originally thought being the only dude on the team would be a typical male fantasy, but as he got to know Iris and Cora, they'd become sort of a second family for him. Cora was the experienced older sister, and Iris was...well, Iris.

After a time, which was a few minutes of calm routine, she would emerge from the bathroom in comfortable sleepwear, which consisted of thick-looking sweatpants and a large t-shirt. Perhaps not the picture of grace, but it was comfortable, and wasn't that the point of clothes that you could sleep in?
She set her dirtied clothes into a laundry hamper, where they would wait until they could be properly taken care of, and she gathered up the spare blanket from her bed. It was a very snuggly blanket, a gift that had been given when her teacher had heard that she had been accepted to Beacon. The huntress then made her way over to the couch and dropped unceremoniously onto it, holding the blanket close and all bundled up in her arms, as though it was a pillow, and with a sigh of content, she closed her eyes.

"I'm glad you can see a teammate being as close to you as a sister. It assures me that the bonds towards each other isn't one sided." This team was beginning to be close and it was heartwarming for Iris. Being of nobility Iris didn't have all the time in the world to live as a true child. One of thous issues arising from her lifestyle was the lack of child friends. She did have a few friends but they were usually boys who her father and their father tried setting up for further marriage. There was always strings attached to just about everything in her childhood but now that she was grown and free she was able to make friends on her own terms. And true friends who like her for who she is, not what she is. It this aspect Cora and Danny made her happy.
"Perfect timing Cora," Iris explained as she raised the remote and hit the Play button after noticing her Older Sister exiting the bathroom. "The show is about to start!" The opening began and the intro to what the world could truly be, if there was no spirits left in this earth, chilled Iris to the bone. How could it be that a man would be turned into what the main character was; a demon. How many trials would Man have to face before he was nothing more than a monster headed towards extermination? How many era would they have to traverse before realizing what is truth is what you make of it...but in the end, what would one think about other than survival in an era set at the same time as the movie.
"If you failed someone you promise to save...how do you think you would deal with it?" Iris asked her family as her eyes stayed glued to this tube...for the reason she didn't want to look anyone in the eyes at the moment; her sweet demeanor too serious for what was going on right now...

Forget I even asked. " No way she got all serious like that! This was not the time nor place to do any of that deep thinking. Right now was the time to enjoy her friends and totally veg out on the couch; Iris then grabbing a chicken leg from her plate of fried chicken and went to town on that thing. She hadn't realized it but the chicken leg had been there only thing she's eaten all day!
As the movie went on Iris was entranced by the cars in the movie and sort of . "Their vehicles look like war chariots! I've got to send a photo of this to Harthwin, I'm sure he'd love to see this!" What was once a bumbling girl confused by a futuristic device is now Iris typing a message to her brother as if she'd been in the techno age forever. "Umm...guy? How do you take a photo with the Scroll? " Or perhaps Iris was still that bumbling girl who would never get the hang of new technologies.

Cora was not sure how to respond to the question. In all honesty, she had been surprised by it because of how distracted she had been by the fire, the flashing lights, and all of the chaos that the movie had been displaying. The somber question unsettled Cora's heart, as her thoughts immediately leapt to her brother, or to some fellow students that she had sworn to protect without voice.
Iris then dismissed the question and Cora decided that perhaps she didn't need to answer. She wasn't sure what she would do if she came face to face with such a predicament, whether family, friend, or.... Maybe if one day she was wed.... that might be a possibility. What a scary thought.
She held onto the fluffiness in her arms just a little bit tighter after that and she watched the movie in silence.

Daniel Redmond Crane As the movie ended, Danny had ended up falling off the couch, flailing his horse body around a bit to try and get up. He soon gave up, mainly due to laziness. "That movie was awesome!" He said. His mind still wandered a bit to Iris's question from before. He'd never been in a situation where he'd lost someone close, which was odd, given that both his parents used to be in the White Fang, but if he had lost someone, he'd certainly be heartbroken. He couldn't imagine losing anyone close to him. His parents, his friends, his teammates; all of them were important to him. Hopefully, it would be a long time before he'd be able to answer that question.

So much so Iris had a dream of her and the team busting into a heavily guard fortress of Evil to take down the mastermind behind a criminal organization. Iris awakes to the beam sun gloriously shining through the dorm's window. With a yawn and a stretch Iris reached for her scroll on the end table to the side of her bed but seen no new message from her brother. "Odd, I didn't send a photo but I know I sent Harthwin a message last night." The Kenmasutā siblings were very close. It was a little off for her brother to not respond to her at all, even with at least some teasing, but she decided not to dwell on it and remind herself he had his own team and was more than likely busy with them. Still keeping silent as she could be, Iris pondered more about the situation as she slipped in the bath and showered.
Refreshed and dressed in her usual casual clothes, Iris exits the bathroom expecting the others to be asleep and to just step out. But if they were awake Iris would greet them with a smile and a wave hello.OOC:: ^^;
