Alright, since we're in October and Halloween is approaching, perhaps we can take a chance and try to tell each other stories of spooky/creepy/nightmarish things we've experienced or can imagine. Only thing I ask is that if you think the story will get really long, then put the story in the spoiler section by using [ spoiler ]with the story in here without the spaces in the first part of it. I have a story I'd like to share that I'll use as an example. Also, feel free to discuss any of the stories that are posted here as well.
This is actually a nightmare I really had, of which I awoke from on the 22nd of August, 2015 at 7:29 A.M. I started out in what seemed like a small, monochrome room, but then dark-green, possibly emerald, colored coils revealed the room to be more like a hallway. The scene then shifts revealing a desert-like canyon area with a blue sky. I was on a pillar, but right around where I was at was a giant, green male-looking humanoid snake (the same shade of green as the coils I saw earlier). How giant? Big enough to pet my head with just one finger, which he did at some point. Some time after I awoke from the nightmare, I found out that this snake was probably around the size of a Dalamadur (~44039.7 cm or over 1400 feet long), maybe a bit smaller. It had a deep, possibly raspy (but definitely hissing) voice, and had a cyan blue snake-like tongue.
Before I could react, he had me in his coils, squeezing me, but never enough to kill me. Oddly though, the way my arms were positioned while stuck there made it look like I could've been hugging him, but I don't know.
He then started whispering things into my left ear, trying to tempt me to his side as far as I knew. I couldn't outright refuse because he could kill me right there and then (due to my being stuck in his coils), but I didn't want to join him either. So as a result, I tried to delay (most likely by asking questions).
Near the end of the nightmare, he said something about gods (I think it was something about making me one if I joined him). I told him "I'm not a god!" and then he said: "You're not a god?! I'll show you why-!"
and he said that (and cut himself off) before squeezing me even tighter. That was when I opened my eyes, gasping for breath.
Normally one would expect the point where the eyes open to be where the nightmare ends, which was the case for me with previous nightmares... but this one was different. After I opened my eyes, while still feeling paralyzed, I heard him whisper, "You may have escaped this time, but next time you won't be so... lucky."
And all this time, I never found out who or what he is, nor do I know his real name. By now, I at least have a placeholder name I can use for him: Ser Nagongla. Part of what helped me remember all of this is because I have written down this nightmare and I still have the page IRL.
