Ok so I got the guild back form the guy who took over (sorry i let that happen) I didn't mean for it to die, but it did. So I'm thinking about starting it up again and i wanted to get some opinions on it. I've got some ideas below but i am also open to anyone else who has a though too.

Pros: new rp, new characters, new Pokemon, everything rp based, less art to make Cons: no contests really, Harder to get Pokemon, new systems to make, probably require smaller Pokemon teams until you rank up within your crew. (So like the leader of the crew would maybe be able to use 5 or 6 Pokemon but a new guy would only be able to use 2 or something like that)

Hmmmmm Mm A Pokemon idea eh? Well doing old fashion and doing original ideas all have their charm. Now, let's put our noggins together and think! Hmmmmmmmmm So it looks like we have some Gem challengers but what about researchers? Which Gems were revealed or found? Also, we could add in the concept of the greater evil. People trying to harness the power of the crystals to amplify the Pokemon's ability to create an army that will bend the world to their whim. Though that concept is often overused

Hmmmmmmmmm So it looks like we have some Gem challengers but what about researchers? Which Gems were revealed or found? Also, we could add in the concept of the greater evil. Though that concept is often overused Well i depends on which idea you are talking about, the original idea has a "Villain" team. it also had a good chunk of the gems found already and Gyms built around them with Gem protectors. it really a classic adventure story but more but kinda like a prequel to everything you know about Pokemon. The new idea, would kind of let people decide if they were good or evil or how they used the power they unlock. Basically the goal in that one would be to get all of the gems.

The idea that is currently on the Home Page of the Guild Oh ya probably not fake gems then the way that one is set up is there are gem protectors who are in charge of making sure a gem is not moved (because Pokemon are attracted to the areas where the gems are located) So the protect the gem and the Pokemon who come to it, they all study them and train others who wish to be protectors. At the same time you can become a normal trainer and just like in the games you go to all the Gem protectors and challenge them, if you defeat them they will give you a fragment of the gem (this doesn't hurt the gem as it can regrow as long as most of it is there) This gem if active helps you with that specific kind of Pokemon and give you a boost with training them. Gem protector apprentices are also able to leave the Gems and have their own journey when they reach a certain point. This allows them to see the world, collect other fragments and eventually possibly becoming gem protectors themselves. One of the reasons for the Gem protectors is because of organizations like Team Alchemy who would look to collect all the Gems (they already have the Fairy gem) no one knows what their plan is if they get them all but you can bet it's not good.

Using the DTI style of obtaining different pokemon/digimon would be an interesting selling point because DTI is the only guild to utilize this system as others do the standard RP for it. However the con of doing this is the artist workload along with the fact RNGesus has a huge factor in it. Should we do it standard RP style the downside is that there isn't much of a collecting factor in it (imo) and in some cases can be too easy. If you wish to attract more people it's probably a better idea to do standard seeing as people can obtain what they want much easier. However by doing it in the form of a reward it gives a sense of self satisfaction (I would know. It's why I came back to this bloody site lol). My personal opinion is to make it difficult to obtain Pokemon in standard RP style along with the occasional prize contest. I say try to salvage as much of the story as possible because I personally enjoyed it. Out of the ideas suggested I would have to pick Idea 2 due to the fact it makes the guild a challenge which I personally enjoy as it gives satisfaction once complete. I would personally implement contests slowly as time goes along for diversity. As time progresses humans begin to realize Pokemon have potential other than wars. Something along those lines.

However the con of doing this is the artist workload along with the fact RNGesus has a huge factor in it. Should we do it standard RP style the downside is that there isn't much of a collecting factor in it (imo) and in some cases can be too easy. If you wish to attract more people it's probably a better idea to do standard seeing as people can obtain what they want much easier. To make it easier on the artist, you could say that, while still only being able to catch 10 Pokemon during the first 2 months, you can only catch 2(feel free to change it to whatever you think is best) Pokemon first during a week(also change it to whatever you think is best) and you must be RP its capture with a reasonable amount of text before you can receive it's art to capture more. You could always incorporate more RPing into the contests by making them revolve around events, but the RPing has to directly involve the characters plot to make it seamless and not so out of the blue.
I hope what I'm suggesting makes even a little sense... Too tired to think straight but still wanted to give an opinion ^-^;

Too tired to think straight but still wanted to give an opinion ^-^; Ya that's good, limit the number you can catch, (this can be done easily by having some system deliver Pokeballs monthly) So say you get 1 pokeball a month or something plus you could win more in contests or by completing missions of gem battles or something. basically leave the current system for catching but place it in the rp somehow I think it cold be very doable. I also like putting the contests in the rp, just have to figure out a seamless way to do it.

Add more difficulty in pokemon capture. Less pokemon given out at a time. Let getting a pokemon be a big deal to the trainers so they cherish it. Keep rotating list of capture options so that trainers have a decent chance of getting desired pokemon and not just ratatatas. I like limitingportals the best. I also like the original gym idea of protectors and what not, but it requires a larger user base. What if you do frontier based exploration/ adventurer guild based? Keep the idea of gems, but the players can create their own guild if they wish. After a guild reaches a certain amount of fame, an event will happen where the guild can capture a gem. This could be used to explain the movement of people to a new contingent, the establishment of cities, and you're based guns all at the same time. Additionally it allows natural expansion of the guild as members come in. One group may be sponsored by a cooperation, another by a religious sect, another by education systems, even just those who love adventurer port who want to establish a system of government ext. This way people can maker their own history.
