I don't know how things are in the rest of the world, but here in Belgium (and I'd say most of Western Europe), fear is starting to really kick in... It's one thing to know there's a war going on in a far away country, another to see thousands and thousands of migrants fleeing, but shootings and bombings in your own or neighboring countries is something different altogether.
Last night, I went to a concert in a large stadium-sized venue. Tomorrow, and every work day, I'll commute to and from Brussels for my job... and I have to admit, these otherwise normal events are starting to feel risky. It makes you realize how easy it is to instill fear and distrust. If only it were as easy to undue..
